  • (Can you? Since I play Dick in the other thread xD)

Clarissa held out her hand and shook El's. "Nice to meet you too. I'm Clarissa." She didn't mind telling El her reason for being here, since that would take a lot of explaining. At the sight of the two men aside from her father, she smiled at them both, truthfully kind of intimidated by them both. Clarissa hoped Bruce wasn't up at her early appearance. She could only stay in her room for so long.

Damian studied the girl as she shook hands with El. She had a similar look to his father, which was suspicious. He didn't really think about it further though. "Why don't you come to dinner with us? I'

  • (Sure. I'll give him a shot)

"Yes, why don't you Clarissa?" Bruce said, not seeming crossed for the moment. He did however cast Damian a warning look; don't say anything. He clearly hadn't told Clarissa anything, and it seemed he didn't plan to. El smiled at Clarissa before returning to Damian's side. He could tell she was starting to become a bit nervous. Dick meanwhile had stepped over to Clarissa. "I'm Dick." he said, extending his hand for her to shake. He offered her an encouraging smile.

  • Clarissa could sense the discomfort coming from the room. Though no one was visibly taken, she knew when something was off. "Nice to meet you." She shook Dick's hand when he held it out for her and smiled a little; still nervous. These must be some of Bruce's business friends, even though they looked years younger than him.

Damian knew that look. He gave a small nod, barely visible, and returned to occupying his thoughts with other things. They should get going soon if they didn't want the restaurant to fill up.

  • "Let's get going. Damian, you and El can ride with me if you like." Dick offered them, smiling. El looked up at Damian. She had that knowing look on her face; she knew something was up. But she also knew better than to ask. Damian would tell her if he felt the need to.

Meanwhile, Bruce had turned to Clarissa. "Come on. You can ride with me." he said. Without waiting for her reply, he began walking out to the garage. He knew she would follow. He quickly got to the car, and opened the door for Clarissa. He knew he had some explaining to do.

  • Clarissa knew her father would take responsibility for her on the way there, and when Dick announced who he would be driving, she moved towards Bruce, falling in line behind him as they made their way out. She glanced towards the others as they went their separate ways and get into the car with ease. Once inside she sighed, knowing that something had to be said. Nervous yet curious, Clarissa would pull the seat belt over her chest and buckle it as Bruce got in on the other side. Quiet and waiting, she would play with a button on her skirt absentmindedly.

    . . .

Damian almost avoided looking too long at El. He knew she wouldn't ask, but he still felt an obligation to be honest with her. Then again he didn't know what the heck was going on either. Once they were in the car he turned to her and leaned in, speaking softly so that his brother wouldn't hear. "I have no idea who she is. I'm just as confused as you are."

  • Bruce was quiet as he pulled the car out of the garage, and got onto the road. For several minutes even then, he was silent. Then he sighed heavily. "Those two men, they are your brothers. Damian is my blood son, and I adopted Dick when he was still young. The woman, El, is Damian's girlfriend." he explained to her quickly. He wasn't sure how Clarissa would take to this news. "I was hoping to introduce you all later, once I had gotten some things worked out." he added, not wanting her to think he was trying to keep her family from her. "Dick I've already had the chance to tell, but not Damian. Please, don't say anything until later." He hated to request this of her, but he felt he had no choice.

    ------------------

El looks at him, and nods once. She understood, and she believed him. He had no reason to lie to her; she would never tell anything he told her. Dick got into the driver's seat, casting them both a look. He figured Damian had told El he didn't know what was going on, but he didn't bother to inquire on it. He would find out in time. "I hope you're hungry El. This place is the bomb." Dick said with a grin to El. El only smiled some. She sensed Dick was in on the secret of whoever Clarissa was.

  • clarissa was taken aback. For a solid minute she was silent; ruminating over what she had just heard. "I have brothers? Well, Damian did look at me funny when I walked in. Its like we recognized each other or something. Dick seems like the nicer of the two." At that she chuckled to herself, now fiddling with a bracelet on her right wrist. She had a habit of doing that. "Any other kids I should know about?" Clarissa seemed to be taking the news with ease despite such a heavy thing to find out. She liked the idea of having new people to hang out with and bond with. "I never had siblings when I lived with mom."

    . . .

Damian turned slightly, still aware of his surroundings yet wanting to zone out and stare as the city raced past. Gotham was no glamorous metropolis, but it was beautiful in it's own way. He wanted to see his city prosper, just as father did. He also wanted to see his family prosper without threat. Wasn't that was everyone wanted? As he retracted his focus from the city outside the car window, Damian felt comfortable just being aware of lights and sounds flitting past. When they neared the restaurant he shook out of it. "Dick is right, I have fond memories of coming here." They were some of the only good memories he had. Growing up was hard and he had to become an adult fast. Revisiting places like this made him feel comforted in even the smallest way. Bruce had given him a worthwhile youth, he had to award him that. <<

  • Bruce also chuckled. "I agree with you. Dick is the nicer of the two. But Damian is kind once you know him." He said slightly, a bit of happiness in his tone. Then he sighed again. "I also adopted another son. Jason Tobb. He was killed in an explosion while skiing in (I forget the place)." That was the story he had given the world, and it was the story he would give Clarissa. He wasn't ready for her to know the truth. He didn't know if he ever would be. Bruce had put enough people in danger throughout his life; there was no reason to add Clarissa to the list.

    --------------

El smiled and nods. "Then I'm glad we came." She said, placing her hand over Damian's for a second. It was her small gesture of love and comfort to him. She then got out of the car, knowing Damian would follow. Dick had already gotten out, and was standing there waiting on them. "Slow pokes." He teased them, grinning. El rolled her eyes playfully.

  • I think I have an idea for how Clarissa becomes Robin. So El gets kidnap by the Joker (or whatever villain is in this time zone of Batman) and Clarissa overhears them talking about it perhaps. Somehow she ends up finding out about it, and winds up helping the boys rescue her.

Do you still feel up to this plot?

  • I wish I had the time and muse to continue, but things are so busy lately that I don't think I can. But it was a nice rp and I wish it had progressed further xD.
