Anneliese's shoulders slumped. She hadn't expected him to agree with her. "I need to call my parents." She murmured, holding her head back to stop the bleeding from her nose. "Your girlfriend really knows how to throw a punch. She told me that if I told anyone what she and her friends did, she would tell everyone that I hooked up with the football team," she murmured.

Alec chuckled, shaking his head with a frown. "Not surprising. Well, I can easily deny the rumor if it does spread, considering football try-outs sre still happening." He finished with a smirk, rolling his eyes. "Where's your phone, so you can call them?"
-
"In my bag-" She murmured, limping over to her things and pulling out her cell phone. She shakily dialed her mother, and at the last moment, decided to tell her what had happened. Her mother yelled so loudly in fury, Anneliese was sure Alec could hear it. Mrs. Pierce promised to be right there and told her to stay put.
-
Alec winced at the sound of Ana's mother yelling at her. "I'll stay with you until your mom comes." He spoke, and grabbed the first aid kit which was lying high up on a shelf in the supply room. Bringing the kit back to Ana, he opened it.
-
She sat down on the bench and sighed, pulling the stray hairs back to get them out of the way. "I'm sorry, Alec. You don't have to do this for me."
-
He shook his head. "I kinda do. It's kind of my fault anyways." He shrugged, and wipped the hydrogen peroxide over the cut on her cheek.
-
Anneliese winced, the peroxide stinging her cheek. "How is this your fault? You didn't ask her to attack me."
-
Alec laughed a little, shaking his head. "I'll try to talk to her about it, yeah? Tell her to, uh, tone it down a notch? Or five." He mumbled the last part to himself.
-
She looked at him and frowned a bit. Suddenly, Mrs. Pierce burst in the room. "What the hell happened?"
-
Alec looked up, seeing Mrs Pierce. He nervously looked at Anneliese, before sighing. "Ah.." He started, being at a loss for words.
-
Anneliese ducked away from her mother as she fretted over her bloodied face. "It's nothing, Mom, I promise-"
Mrs. Pierce turned on Alec. "Where were you?" She snarled. -
Alec tried to hide his frown, but failed to do so. "Mrs. Pierce, I would have done everything I could to prevent this, but I was at football tryouts, ma'am." He said, trying to keep his voice steady and confident.
-
"I will be speaking with your coach," she muttered, turning to Anneliese again. "You need to tell me who did this. I will not have violence in this school, especially against my own children."
-
Alec's eyes slightly widened. "B-but I need to stay in football for a scholarship.." He ended up whispering, his voice fading with every word. Looking at Anneliese, he saved her from having to say it. "I know two of the students who did it,. But don't tell them that Anneliese told you, tell them that I told you. It was Vanessa Zamora and Lilly Reeves."
-
"I just want to make sure you were actually there," Mrs. Pierce said, tucking a strand of Anneliese's displaced hair behind her ear. When Alec started mentioning names, she pulled out a notepad and began to scribble them down. "Thank you. Anneliese, get cleaned up and come up to the office. I'll drive you home," she sighed.
Anneliese nodded quickly, glancing over at Alec. -
Alec managed to smile at Anneliese, and put his hands on her shoulders. "I'll do everything I can do to fix this. I promise." He spoke with sincerity, relieved that Mrs. Pierce was just going to confirm his presence at the try-outs.
-
Anneliese nodded slightly before watching her mother leave the dance room- first taking photos of the supply room floor.
The next morning, Anneliese stood at her locker, putting in her pointe shoes and her Economics textbook. She heard a locker slam closed next to her, and she jumped.
"Morning, bitch," Next to her, Vanessa smirked.
"Morning, Vanessa," Anneliese simply responded. "Do you feel better about yesterday? Because I certainly do. I feel better that it showed me that you can beat me to the ground, but you can't impair my talent, and you can't stop Rose from casting me. I have every right to be there, just like you, and everyone else in that room. You'll get what's coming to you, don't worry," Anneliese growled under her breath, slamming her locker shut and storming off. -
Alec arrived a little later at school that day, and saw Vanessa after her little meet up with Anneliese. "Where were you yesterday, I thought you wanted to meet me after tryouts?" He asked innocently, but still looked slightly mad.
-
Vanessa crossed her arms. "Something came up, but maybe tonight? My parents are going to be gone at a dinner party, if you want to come over," she leaned forward and purred the last part into his ear. Giving him a seductive smile, she turned on her heel and headed towards class.
-
Alec didn't respond, but walked to class instead, taking the seat beside Anneliese. "How are you?" He asked, looking to Anneliese.
