  • [center][fancypost=width: 500px; text-align: justify]Nico.. Didn't quite enjoy spending any time on the Skulls main island anymore. Too many things bouncing around in his mind, like the possibility of Trudy coming back. So he'd been spending a lot of time on the second island, observing the weird animals and trying to relax and repair his fractured mind.

The tom sat in the sand as he looked out at the bright, almost comically clear water surrounding the second island. This place, unlike the first, was sort of like a tropical paradise; clear blue water, long stretches of soft beach, and a sunlit jungle filled with adventures. He was surprised nobody had settled here before the Skulls, but he supposed the threat of the pirate clan had scared everybody away.

He stretched out on the beach, a yawn escaping his maw. He'd have to talk to Sel about building on this island; it'd be a perfect place to host parties, even build a small town. It could all be themed as well, a beautiful tropical paradise. A small smile sprung to his maw as he focused on the thoughts, the warmth of the sun making him sleepy and happy.

  • Xylia hadn't taken a great deal of time to explore the second island, but recently she'd decided to head over. This wouldn't just be to explore the island from one end to the other, but to also find more supplies for the ship and for future travels. More exciting yet was Shadow's presence alongside her. He became more and more of a friendly presence by her side by the day, even if he couldn't reply to her unending questions. Her head tilted to the side and she paused before taking off at a sprint toward Nico the moment she saw him. She hadn't seen him much since the ordeal with Trudy, but she didn't want to dwell on that fiasco. Instead, she went spraying in front of her like water droplets after coming to a stop a couple steps away from the feline. Shadow took his sweet time in catching up to her. "Hi, Nico! It's awfully pretty here, isn't it?" He looked relaxed too, which made her want to curl up in the sand and take a nap herself.

Since Sel always had the itch to move, she'd already scoured the second island several times over, but today it was a bit different. Those had been times when she saw her apprentice (and she still considered him her apprentice, even after demoting him) regularly. Today she barely saw him at all, especially after his death and revival. So needless to say, she was looking for him. It seems Xylia found him first. She thought as she padded over, taking a seat. "So this is where you've been, eh?"

  • [center][fancypost=width: 500px; text-align: justify]The arrival of Xylia, as much as he loved the ferret, brought reality coldly back into focus. He opened his eyes and sat up, a sleepy smile still on his maw that became slightly pained as he noticed Shadow's presence behind Xylia. He knew the Morin was harmless, and also Xylia's friend, but he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in its presence. He tried to ignore how his body tensed, as if it knew that another of its kind was close.

"Yeah, its beautiful around here." Nico commented. Next was Sel, who padded over. He averted his gaze, shame still rippling through him from his demotion; he knew he'd deserved it, but it was still awkward. He still considered her his mentor, but he was aware he was just a normal member now. "Yeah, I've been.. Doing a lot of exploring and documenting."

  • Shadow didn't have much interest in eyeing Nico or Sel, or even Xylia for the time being. The morin looked more intent on having its way with exploration of the other island than observing this conversation. "Where have you explored so far? Have you documented anything new, or added to what you've documented already?" She asked, pawing at the sand underneath her and beginning to turn it into a pile.

"We've been missing you back at camp." Sel said casually, gaze going down to a flower that she plucked from the ground. It was pretty, and might even smell pretty too. She tossed it aside, blue eyes going back to Nico.
