• TURN AROUND, THERE'S NOTHING THERE

The spirit had never known Bloomingskies, the former StormClan medicine cat.

Yet she had heard so much about her. Oh, so, so much. Her mother had always taken time, no matter the day, to tell her daughter a bedtime story. Many of these were tales of her own life, and many had featured her second mentor. From Maplemeadows, the spirit had learned Bloomingskies's appearance, personality, and role in her mother's life. She learned that, after the medic died, she had come back as a spirit for a few moons.

And then she had faded away.

It was this thought that entered Marigold's mind on that lovely spring morning. She had even laying in front of the elders' den, watching the sun rise from behind the mountains. However, once this occurred to her, the day turned cold. Ivory clouds turned to rainstorms, rays of sunshine turned to lightning. In her mind, anyways.

"Will I fade?" she meowed aloud, her voice lingering in the morning air. "Will I disappear, like mother's mentor?"

    EVERYTHING'S VANISHED IN THE AIR

  • "It is a daunting thought, isn't it?" The question was asked softly, almost in a whisper, by an unfamiliar voice. The air seemed to get slightly warmer as another female cat sat herself next to Marigoldpaw. Any older members may be able to identify the she-cat, but no one would be able to see her at the moment besides Marigold. Warm blue eyes that mimiced the petals of the cornflower glanced to the side at the much younger spirit. The feline waited for the other to say something before continuing.

Feather had heard his sister's question to herself and moved over to the spirit. Moving his tail to mimic playing it onto her. ``I doubt it. `` he was trying to be reassuring to the large she. Flicking an ear he sighed a bit himself. Feather felt like he was going to fade as well. Not in the way Marigold meant though, but he relates.
