  • "You shouldn't be here young one."

In a city that is neither small nor big, there's a mountain that people avoid. It was known as the 'daemon mountain.' The undeveloped mountain isn't protected with a green belt nor is it a site of environmental conservation. The avoided, prohibited forest... With the dismal atmosphere and the rumors that whisper about the demon that once lived there. On the mountain there's an abandoned house, a long time ago they said a demon lived there. A demon who was in love with an mortal. The mortal had tried to trick the demon into gaining the power of immortality. The demon found out and lashed out on the mortal, killing him up by ripping him to pieces and placing the remains of his body in a coffin under the house. The demon swore to never fall in love again. So to make sure he didn't the demon killed each and every mortal that dared to step foot on his mountain.

  • Pain. Pain was the first thing that Loki felt once he had woken up to find himself in a forest. He sat up straight, coughing out blood that seemed like it was trying to choke him. Once it seemed all the blood was drined from his mouth and throat the boy started gagging slightly at the horrid copper like aftertaste. Loki looked around his gaze confused and scared. Whimpering he touched his mouth and nose with his two badly bruised hands. They were both bleeding causing his once white shirt to be stained red all over. The short boy winced as he rolled up his once white sleeve that was currently sticky with his blood.

Hissing with pain the small boy with brown hair and multicoloured eyes tried to stand up only to fall back down again a second later. His gaze flickered to his legs wincing when he noticed one of his ankles was sprained and knees were badly bruised. Grinding his teeth together he listened out for anyone that could help him get safety. "Help!" He cried loudly, only hearing the sound of a waterfall close by. The sound of running water reminded Loki about how dry his throat was. Maybe if he could somehow get to the water he could get something to drink and wash his wounds.

"Hello?" Loki choked out, covering his arms and legs once more as he hissed with pain. Hot tears ran down his face as he tried crawling to the sound of rushing water. Eventually the pain was too much for him to handle. He fell to his side on a sharp rock making him practically scream of pain and surprise. He gasped as he rolled over to his side, his tears coming out his eyes even faster then before out at the sight of a small stab wound. The small boy rested his head on the ground and closed his eyes. Mentally begging that this nightmare would end and he could wake up in his bedroom.

  • A dark green gaze followed the small truck as it drove aroundthe mountain. He watched a small body get shovedout. The demon tilted his head and a small growl rumbled out of his throat. How many times did he have to kill before the mortals got the message to just leave his mountain? He slowly shifted forms as he approached the boy that had been crawling obviously injured. When he noticed he had fallen unconcious he trotted over to the small body. He wasn't dead but he was definitely close to being so. He growled and opened his jaws to snap down on his neck.

The demon hesitated as he got a better look at the boy. There was no way it was him. He had ripped apart that mortal centuries ago. He frowned and shifted back to his human fornication his ears pinned back as he reached down and tilted the boy's head his way. He rolled his jaw thoughtfully. It was not him but he did have a striking resemblance to his deceased lover. A reincarnation perhaps? Either way he could not just kill this boy. He looked up to where the truck had disappeared and sighed. He was way too soft...

He carefully scooped up the young mortal and held him close as he hiked back to his home. His tail lashed as he set the injured boy in the tub after putting some warm water in it. He had undressed the mortal and gently cleaned him off. He wasn't very good at healing but he at the very least got the bleeding to stop using a bit of heat to cauterize the worst of his wounds. Once he was clean the demon set him up in his own bed and covered him up with the blankets. If he ever saw that truck again he was going to kill every single mortal in it.

  • Loki hummed when he felt something warm being placed over him, pulling it over his head and snuggling closer to it with a somewhat strangled purr. His body was defiantly much warmer then before, it felt rather nice not to feel like you was feel liked your entire body was slowly turning to ice. After what seemed like an hour he slowly pulled the cover off his face and looked up at the ceiling, everything seemed to be spinning. He let out a whimper of pain as he tried to sit up once again clenching the small stab wound on his side. Finally deciding to give up and just lay flat on his back he slowly brought his small hands to his face.

Loki rubbed his eyes until he saw stars to try stop the dizziness. He removed his hands from his face and looked up allowing a long sigh of relief to escape him when he noticed everything stopped spinning. Loki forced himself to fight through the pain and sat up, leaning on the bedpost as he looked around. He seemed to be inside a bedroom. It was a rather big room however it looked rather cosy. The small boy looked around his gaze landing on a tall man with ash brown hair, two long wolf ears, a fluffy wolf like tail and hypnotising green eyes.

Loki tilted his head in a curious manner his brown hair falling into his beautiful multicoloured eyes as he stared silently for a minute or so. Once he finally gathered enough confidence he finally spoke. "Who are you? Where am I? Who am I? How did I get here?" He questioned in a whisper, trying to speak softly so he didn't put too much strain on his extremely dry throat. Loki looked down, touching his pale chest which had a long scar on it with a frown. Was that always there? He couldn't be sure.

  • After the boy was taken care of the demon decided to make some food just in case the mortal was hungry when he woke up. He always made sure his ears were twitched in the direction of the room to make sure he could keep tabs on if he woke up or not. He started a nice warm soup. While he was out he let the soup simmer and walked to his cabinet and pulled down a glass and filled it with water before he finally made his way back to the room. He left the door open so he could keep tabs on the food.

Nev sighed and set the glass on the bed side table just as the boy woke up. He stepped back honestly surprised he had woken up after such a short time with the wounds he had sustained. He watched him silently as he tries to get up. He thought about stepping forward and forcing the boy to lay back once more. His ears twitched when they finally made eye contact. Even the boy's eyes were the same as Ruka's. He shifted and tilted his head as he heard the questions. Did he really not remember?

He decided to take advantage of this. "Ruka, do you truly not remember your own fiance?" He asks, his expression looking at bit hurt. "You had an accident when you went to the falls. I had to carry you back home. He told him as he walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. He reached over and brushed the dusty brown hair from the boy's beautiful face. "You should rest a bit more. I have food cooking so you can eat soon. He picked up the glass of water and offered it to him. "Here, drink."

  • Loki frowned slightly when the stranger made eyes contact with him in such a deciding manner but didn't dare say anything. He bit into his soft lip when the man started to talk his slight frown returning at the name 'Ruka'. It felt strange as if it didn't belong to him. He shrugged slightly turning his focus on what the man with wolf ears and tail was saying. The boy's eyes widening slightly at the word 'fiancé' nervously starting to tap his finger on his leg when he noticed the hurt gaze. "Fiancée? Aren't you a little old to have a fiancée?" He asked flinching back the best he could when the stranger reached out, squeezing closed his eyes until the male pulled away.

Loki slowly opened his eyes when the man spoke again, shaking his head furiously when the man said he should rest more. "No! I'm not going back to sleep, I don't like it." He said his eyes seemingly lightening up when he noticed the cup of water being offered. He shakily took the cup, more then half the water spilling on either his lap, chest and face as he tried bringing it too his face. Loki gulped it down greadily. He placed a hand over his mouth coughed when he put the glass in between his legs for safe keeping.

Loki looked around in a bored manner, huffing as he shakily moved the glass to the floor. He hissed in pain when he once again sat up straight, looking to his lap in an ashamed manner. "So I'm your fiancée? I- I'm sorry. I don't remember you." He whimpered, eyes filling up with hot tears. He didn't want to look up, if he did he was scared the male would notice the few hot tears slowly running down his face. "Help me to the bathroom? I want to see what I look like?" He said which was more of a question then anything else.

  • Nev frowned deeply when the boy flinched and backed away from his hand. This was going to be ten times harder than he had expected. He wanted him to go along with it better than this. His ears twitched at the word old a pang of irritation passing through him until he remembered that to humans he was considered very old indeed. He chewed his lip slightly. "I'm not old..." He mumbles. "I am plenty young enough for a fiance." He huffed, his tail twitching with the annoyance that had invaded his voice. He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.

The demon watched him quietly, tilting his head at his reaction to the fact he should rest. "I said rest not sleep." He murmurs gently. "Just relax, you are safe here." He murmurs. He frowns and quickly jumped to help him steady the glass as it spilled all over the bed and his lap. He sighed and rubbed his face. "I will get some dry sheets after dinner." He murmurs quietly. He watched him gulp down some of the water that actually stayed in the glass. His ears perked before pinning back as he heard the whimper in his voice.

The demon noticed the tears. "Hey, don't cry..." He whimpered and gently wiped them away with his thumb. He bit his lip and nodded. He stood up before leaning down and carefully lifting the boy into his arms. He tried to keep from hurting him as he did. He hesitated for a moment before taking him to the bathroom. He held him so he could see into the mirror. His gaze searched the image as a pang of regret and anguish stabbed at his heart. It reminded him of the last time he held the true Ruka. He sighed and returned his gaze to the boy. Would he really be able to replace the man he loved so dearly? And would he be as manipulative as Ruka's had been?

  • <p>Loki looked up at the man once he noticed the tears, forcing a smile on his face. He nodded and wiped away tears that were threatening to spill before the other could notice them again. Loki softly let out an alarmed hiss when he was picked up with ease, trying to cover his bare body without falling from the grip. As soon as they arrived to the bathroom the younger stared in the mirror bringing a hand up to his face, gently touching his soft pale skin. He shakily pinned back his brown hair to stare at himself. Loki had long (almost too long) black lashes that perfectly framed his hypnotising blue and yellow eyes. He hated it.</p>
    <p><br></p>
<p>"Ruka." He said as if he was testing the name out, the name rolled off his tongue with ease making it seem like he had that that name for years. "My eyes are... Strange." Loki shifted around in the grasp, giving the demon a small kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for taking me to the bathroom." He mumbled hiding his head under the chin. Loki nuzzled into the male with a loud purr, enjoying the warmth that the other brought to him. He sniffed the male's neck lightening up in curiosity as he did it again. "You smell like... Dog?" He asked with amusement, giggling happily as he took in the olders scent once more.</p>
    <p><br></p>
<p>The boy gently kissed the neck as a sign of affection, slowly bringing a hand to the others hair twirling the brown hair with a hum of approval at the soft feel of it. Loki hummed as he gently tugged on the others hair his multicoloured eyes slowly closing in a calm manner. "Your name. I need your name." He finally whispered out moving his hands so he could hold onto the males shirt as if he was scared he would get dropped. "You have food cooking, you should go check on it." He mumbled reluctantly, gently swinging his legs around with a sigh.</p>

Nev watched the boy quietly as he examined himself in the mirror. He chuckled softly at the comment. "They are beautiful." He murmurs gently. He was careful not to drop him as he shifted. He blushed faintly and smiled as he felt the kiss. He couldn't help the soft wagging his tail ended up doing as a result. It made him ...happy. He chuckled. "I'd do anything for you." He murmurs. He started to carry him back to the bed when he heard the dog comment. His ears twitched and pinned back before he spoke. "I am a wolf demon and fire demon hybrid." He mumbles quietly.

The demon carefully leaned down and set the injured boy back into the bed. He sat beside him once again. He was completely captured by a mortal yet agin. He couldn't help but wonder if it would end the same way again. His gaze lowered briefly as his lover's begging then screams entered his mind. He clenched his jaw and forced himself to relax again. He looked back up as he heard the question. "Nev." He murmurs quietly.

His entire body tensed as he was reminded of the food. "Crap!" He jumped up and ran out of the room. The soup was starting to burn. He pulled it away from the heat and tries to cool it down as he stirred it to keep from sticking or burning further. "Son of a..." He mumbles. He sighed and got two bowls before making his way back. "Sorry, it's a little burnt." He mumbles as he handed a bowl to the boy.

  • Loki watched the man now known as Nev jump away and run into the kitchen with a quiet giggle as he got back into the covers. Wanting to hide his body from the man and possibly himself. He curiously looked around this eyes lightening up in curiosity as he slowly looked around, mentally memorising everything that was there. His gaze moved to the door to watch the demon hybrid enter the room again with a small smile. "No, it's my fault for making you take me to the bathroom. I'm sorry about your soup." He said as he carefully took the bowl, only spilling one or two drops on himself in the progress.

Loki slowly sipped the soup smiling slightly as he did. "It tastes wonderful. Thank you for making it." He said in a gentle tone, twirling his ash brown hair as he gazed at the window watching the rain splatter on it with a tilted head. "How long have I lived with you for?" He quietly asked going back to quietly sipping the soup with half lidded eyes, enjoying the calm atmosphere the old house brought.

Loki finished his soup rather quickly and made a happy purr like noise as he set it to the side right beside the glass. He pulled the covers over his shoulders but still sat up straight as he quietly watched Nev. His eyes slowly closing only to be forced open a second later. "Bedtime?" He lazily asked rubbing his eye with a balled fist with a sleepy expression.

  • Nev smiled gently as he watched the boy for a moment before sitting on the edge of the bed to eat his own. He took a bite before glancing up at the words. "Do not worry about it. It was not too badly messed up. At least it does not taste all that bad." He murmurs. He smiled at the compliment happily as he quietly ate his own bowl. He hummed thoughtfully as he did, his tail twitching ever so slightly. This was definitely going to take some time for him to get used to. When he was done he set his bowl down by the slowly growing pile of dishes.

The hybrid's ears twitched as he made a mental note to clean up the pile later. He looked back up at the boy when he heard the question. He tilted his head as he thought back "I would have to say roughly five or six years." He murmurs quietly. He sat back up as he silently watched the boy sip at his soup. His guilt over his past lovers started to bubble up but he quickly pushed it away. The last thing he needed to do was saying or do something that made the boy notice his lies.

Nev perked his ears up as he noticed the other start to move. He smiled at the question. He shifted so he could lay curled up beside him. He hesitated only slightly before gently pulling him down close to him. "Yes, bedtime." He murmurs gently as he ran his fingers softly through the boy's hair. He himself never really slept but didn't mind laying with the other and at least trying to. He smiled softly as he watched the boy quietly. How much longer would it take for the other to believe his lies?

  • Loki closed his eyes when he felt the unfamiliar warmth of another laying beside him. He had to bite his tongue so he didn't ask any more questions about who he was. He squirmed around in the grip, finally settling down in one position. Loki tucked his head under the chin, sniffing the wolf demon with a curious expression. The boy pulled his head away to study the brown haired man, his gaze seeming to soften when he fixed the brown hair so it wasn't in the attractive looking face. He didn't understand why the stranger took care of him as if he was something special. From what he could tell Nev's appearance is what would be considered handsome to most so it would be easy enough for him to find a new love.

Shaking off all the depressing thoughts Loki wrapped one of his arms around the man and gently stroked the tail with the other. His eyes fluttered closed as he toyed with the tip of the fluffy tail finding it strangely soothing to fuss over something. "Goodnight." He whispered as he slowly drifted off into a light sleep. His eyes snapped open after few minutes of light sleep, rolling so he was laying on top of Nev. He placed a bruised hand over the mouth with a sleepy expression. "Your breathing is actually very annoying." He said, scrunching up his nose as he pulled his hand away after a few moments.

He crawled off the man and turned around so his back was facing Nev. He huffed in a annoyed manner, surprisingly still stroking the fluffy tail despite being annoyed with the older male. He led one of Nev's arms so it was wrapped around him, holding the hand with a hum like purr of approval. It didn't take long for his eyes to feel heavy and breathing to calm into soft sighs. He muttered something to quiet for anyone to hear as he slowly fell into a dreamless sleep. His grip on the hand loosened as he softly spoke in his sleep, starting to ruthlessly kick his feet around and roll around in his sleep.
