  • As he was being carried back, his tail wagged a few times, extremely relieved to be out of the situation and appreciative of the male's help. He was very impressed by the way Askaban took down the stalker, and looked up to the dog even more than he did before. But as soon as they got back to the tunnel, the German shepherd pup's ears flattened against his skull, tail going between his legs and he tucked his paws closer to his body, trying to seem as small as possible. He hadn't tried to make a commotion, he just wanted to try to train his stalking and hunting so he could be useful. He kept his gaze downcast even after he was set down, but did dare to quickly turn his head to nudge it against Askaban's leg as a sign of appreciation.

"I'm sorry..." Felix murmured quietly to Aura, pawing at the ground nervously as he stood in front of her, feeling smaller than ever. The usually playful pup had become cautious, the fear he had experienced outside and the guilt and embarrassment over having caused a commotion causing him to draw in on himself, the pup trying unconsciously to make himself seem smaller than he already was.

The pack is settled in a subway station that they call home. It is almost daylight now and the young pup Felix had wondered out of the subway and was almost killed by a walker. Askaban had been hunting and saved the pup. Everyone is now trying to board holes and are waiting for the next hunt to begin..))

Aura sighed as she watched Felix's body language. She lowered herself to the ground and put her paws around him. She rubbed her cheek to his. "You just worried me to bits... I'm sorry I yelled... the outside is no place for a pup by himself.. Go and thank Askaban. And we will go and find something for you to do that is here in the subway..." she licked his forehead. Her chocolate eyes soft.
Aura stood up and dipped her head to Askaban. She nuzzled the male, "Thank you so much.." she whispered before stepping back and started to walk to join Rolph. Her gaze turning back as she waited for Felix.

  • Felix brightened up a little bit from Aura's change of tone, but she still felt guilty and rather shaken up. He padded over to Azkaban after Aura did, looking up at him with wide chocolate brown eyes. "Thank you, Azkaban" The pup said, giving him a grateful smile, before giving him a friendly nip at his front leg, then catching up with Aura, weaving in between her legs to stay impossibly close. He kept his gaze away from others though, as he feared they were annoyed with the trouble he had unintentionally caused. It would take some time for him to recover, but he would, and he learnt an important lesson.

  • Leah/Mate:Open/1 and half
Leah quietly glanced at the rest of the pack. The short she dog shook out her creamy fur her golden eyes. She lowly was helping the rest board up holes, before her eyes shifted to Sadie who was fumbling and bouncing on her paws. Leah giggled softly before continuing to work.

    Sadie/Crush:Open/6 months
The brown and white pup bounced as she watched everyone working. She wagged her tail quickly and bounced forward as if she was catching something. Then her brown nose scrunched at she let out a fairly distinct sneeze.. Most dogs in the pack would just call her by her nickname.. Sneezy. All the little pup did was sneeze, and bounce. Yipping happily Saide lied down pounding her paws on the ground boredly.

    Mimi/Mate:Open/3 years old
The wise female looked sternly to Sadie. "Enough with the noise pup." She said her voice soft, and quick as she concentrated back on her work before glaring at Leah who laughed at her. "Knock it off. Your almost as bad as Sadie." Mimi muttered.

    Lucy/Mate:None/6 years
The elderly dog sat quietly staring angrily at everyone. She personally was tired of all this running. Her legs ached, and her chest burned..She wished everything was fine again, and that she could be laying on a couch getting free doritos.

  • Moving to the walls, Rolph reared up and began to force at them with his forepaws to test their strength. Most seemed pretty good and as he leaned an ear close they mostly seemed pretty solid too. He wished he had a bit more girth to him- he knew he was of a middling size and a bigger dog might be able to check more accurately. Goliath for example. Still, for now, the sound of it was helping him be sure. Around when he was listening for the sounds of a thin or cracking or infested wall, he heard approaching from down the tunnel from the central area. The scent that came drifting in was Aura's and the extra set of paws had to be Felix's. No way Sadie was following around the Alpha. He did not speak once she came in, allowing her to do her own inspection and make her own descisions or at least ask for his before he spoke.

Honey yawned. Felix was taken care of and she had nothing to do with him. She wasn't mad, nor particularly put out by his choices because in all honestly, it wasn't her job to be. He wasn't hers, and though he was a valued member of the pack and someone she'd defend with her life, so was everyone else here. She headed off to find one of the others who maybe needed a job done. Her husky blood demanded that she be working and lazing around didn't suit her anyway. Maybe Ulnova needed something as the beta female.

"Ulnova?" She called, looking for her.

Goliath wished he could get a haircut. He was fairly meticulous about upkeep mostly because he had to be, but things being what they were, there were still times when matts happened. A bath would be the next best thing, but somehow warm and soapy water seemed even more impossible than a cut. Then again... He was sure last time he was out he'd seen a carwash. If he could find the pipe that shot out the soapy water... Oh man, a bath... he'd smell clean and then could start layering on the smells he wanted again instead of just being an amalgam of all the ones he'd come across. No one else need worry about this, so he informed no one as he headed out, closing the barricade behind him so that not even a pup could slip through, and heading off silently.

Now that everyone was accounted for, Wayland began in on his daily chores. First he went to go check on Lucy,

"How ya doin', Lucy? Got anything to eat yet?" He asked, making sure the elder was taken care of. She seemed sour today, but that didn't especially matter. She still needed food just like anybody else and if she didn't want to, didn't need to get it on her own. A lot of the others had eaten already and seeing as the stock had been running low for a while now, Lucy, Sadie and Felix needed to be sure to get nutrients while they still had them.

  • Askaban nodded, smiling briefly. "No problem, I'm glad I heard him." Felix thanked him once more before running after Aura, that poor pup... Askaban sighed, looking around briefly before walking back up to the surface, just sitting on top of a car.

  • With the sun just about up, the world, as bleak as it was, was beginning to light up. Though he only had one eye from which to take it in, Goliath panted with a smile as he looked around. It wasn't so bad. It could be a lot worse- he could be all by himself out here day after day. He could be living in fear that he'd be eaten. He could have watched his family be taken from him. There were perks to eye injuries. For now though, his large, non-stealthy paws led him down what had once been a city street. Where traffic and horns and the smells of shops and exhaust had once filled the atmosphere now was the buzzing and cries of bugs, the smells of plants and decay, and debris and rubble everywhere. Goliath jumped over, wound around, squeezed under, and otherwise navigated around. He kept his ears, eye, and nose trained for danger, while he looked for that gas station- the one with the tiger paintings that could still sort of be seen. Trotting with a bit of pep in his step he saw the old green crowned woman- he was close. There were actually dozens of those green crowned ladies but the level of decrepicy led him to believe this was the right direction.

  • (I'm thinking about drawing the group but not sure how I'd load it into here, maybe off my diviantart?)

Aura stopped in front of Rolph. "Okay so where should we start?" Though she was alpha, she sometimes seemed help from Rolph.

  • Turning to look at Aura as she spoke, looking over from where he had been working on taking stock of the situation in more detail, he tilted his head huffing a little bit, wondering if what he'd managed to come up with really was the best plan. Still, it was all he had so far, so he offered his project plans up for her consideration,

"I'm thinking this tunnel is too tall for us to brace well. We'd have to get things big enough to go floor to ceiling, that were strong, and somehow get them through the barricade and dragged over here somehow. I imagine it'd be too heavy and bulky or weak to do the job. I believe it might be best to go outside and collapse this in a controlled manner. Mark out a very specific area, snap this rusted pipe, and bring this part down. We could pack it in with any additional rubble that might be needed to seal the entry from the outside and if needed, we could find a way to tunnel through or just leave it as a wall. I just don't want it coming down on anyone, or for a group of stalkers to collapse it and make their way inside."

  • Lucy snorted at Wayland. "Ah no?! What do you think food falls from the sky just for me!" She snapped angrily before baring her teeth halfway and huffing flopping onto her side. The elderly she dog could feel the pain surge through her body..

Mimi listened to Wayland as he spoke with Lucy glancing over. "Don't bother to much with her. She's just going to snap at you no matter what you do." Mimi insisted wagging her tail slightly at Lucy's soft smirk to the younger dog.

Leah finished up her duty padded towards Mason a slight spring in her step. "Heyo Maso!" The still puppy like dog barked her eyes glimmering. "Whatcha up to?"

Sadie got back to her paws barking sharply before bounding to where Felix was. She padded over clumsily and tried peering between the Alpha's legs where Felix hid. "Hey!" She whispered urgently as if Aura and Ralph wouldn't see or here her. "You wanna play?!"

  • Goliath got distratcted for a minute, having found a fat pidgeon that appeared to be hurt and hopping around after it. It didn't fly but it would flap in a panic to try and gain more height or distance. The big, hungry dog caught up. With a prize in hand, Goliath held his head high looking around until he finally saw it. He began bounding- oh what a joy it was to be able to open up like this, to use his legs, spread wide and long and push his muscles. Sometimes he forgot how cramped it could get underground. A dog was meant to bask in the sun. And the suds. Here it was, that old car wash. He could smell the soap, though the water had long been shut off. Getting a better grip on his bird, the one-eyed dog moved to the sweet smelling pipe and pushed it. It was a bit uprooted so when he did, a gurgling glob pushed itself up thanks to the change in pressure and he began rolling around on it, the debris of the car rollers making a semi-effective scrub brush as he began to just coat himself in the slime.

Wayland heaved a little sigh and a lazy smile, but his tail stayed confident behind him even as he pulled down his ears. She was an elder so he owed her a level of respect but not submission. He moved over to grab the smaller dog something out of the fresher stock, perking his ear toward Mimi as she spoke. Shrugging, he found one he liked- a young rabbit- and picked it up, standing up and swinging his proud but mellow head around,

"Still gotta eat." He responded placing the animal before the black and white greying female, speaking once again to Mimi when he was done,

"Maybe wanna have her looked at though. Might need some medicatin'- ya get old, ya get creaky, ya get sour. Ain't no shame in that." he smiled at her as he headed off to find out if anything needed doing.
