Seeing his crew had disband, Alexandre produced a small charcoal stick. He scribbled furiously some details onto the maps, before rolling them, and placing them within his satchel. Then, he too left the dining hall, retreating to his quarters. He stocked provisions, grabbed a few packs, and left, looking more like a pack mule than the graceful leader of the Argent Crusaders. He sullied slowly into the courtyard, noting that Pomona had already managed to gather Eshkun and Chayton to help. "Ah, wonderful. If you don't mind..." He approached the creatures cautiously, slinging with him a few saddle-bags that he had perfectly tailored to their forms. Even though he'd never wished ill on them, he aimed only to be careful. More than them being creatures he truly respected, he knew well that they were Pomona's closest family from what he'd seen. By that extension, they were his own family as well. "And thank you, Pomona, I appreciate your foresightedness in bringing these two here."

Fia sat at ease on her fine horse, the reins of the bit less bridle she preferred resting on the saddlehorn. The stallion was lightly laden, his elven rider preferred to travel light. With a few gentle words Fia urged him forward a few steps and then halted again, stroking his russet shoulder gently as she murmured to him. The sharp-tongued archer loved her horse, loved all animals to be truthful. "Alexandre, are the others nearly ready?" she asked the leader calmly, watching as he made himself busy laying loads upon Pomona's magic-born companions. "The faster we get to these rifts, the faster we get this over with and the safer the world will be."

"She says you're acting cautious," Pomona translated, her own ears flicking as she glanced at him without moving her head. A small smile was upon her lips, and when she was done fiddling with Eshkun's helmet, she allowed the doe to have her head back. "They're no different than you or me, so there's no need to be worried. In fact, Eshkun considers you family," the Faun pointed out, then pawed at the ground with her own hoof when she received the brief praise. "I bring them everywhere, when I can," she hummed in reply, then turned to Chayton, who made a brief hissing noise as his wings twitched. "Hey, we'll be having none of that," Pomona scolded, lowering her ears and frowning, knitting her eyebrows together. Then, her attention was turned to Hisla, whose comment made Genesis hiss lowly and retreat further into Eshkun's flowery antlers. "Aww, she didn't mean it," Pomona whispered to the Basillisk, who simply hissed in reply and poked his head out, 'looking' in the direction of the feline. "Please, don't call his disgusting, he doesn't like being insulted," Pomona replied nervously, climbing upon Eshkun's back with an awkward leap, and reaching into her floral antlers the Faun pulled the Basilisk out of his cover, earning a hiss of protest from the serpentine beast. "He's like family to me...do you have something against him?" Pomona asked, frowning and lowering her ears again. "Genesis is actually pretty nice..."

Hisla rolled her eyes, "Sure it is, it's kind are nice and whatnot until they backstab you and destroy your world. I'd never trust beings like that... Just keep that thing away from me..." She once more checked to see that she hadn't missed anything before warily mounting her own horse. She wasn't sure around the beasts, she's only ridden them a few times before. She wanted to be able to find a path to their destination on her own paws, but she needed to keep up with everyone else. Acting like a child for a moment, she loudly groaned, "Are we going yet?"
(Sorry for small paragraphs lately, I have a bad habit of realizing what it was I forgot to do during the day when I'm tired heh, I'm trying to fix it.)

Genesis hissed in reply and tore himself away from Pomona's grasp in order to retreat into Eshkun's floral antlers, and once he did said doe snorted quite loudly and turned her head to face Hisla, eyes narrowed and ears lowered. Pomona immediately stroked her armored neck, trying to calm the deer down before she did anything drastic. "She's has bad experiences with reptiles Eshkun, please calm down," the Faun whispered into her ear, earning a grumble from the doe as she turned to face the gate, but her eyes remained on Hisla. Turning to the feline, Pomona's ears and tail wiggled simultaneously. "Humans destroyed my home, killed and enslaved my people, but I'm fine around them," she pointed out, reaching back into Eshkun's antlers in an attempt to find Genesis again, but instead received an unpleasant surprise. Recoiling almost immediately, Pomona looked down at her hand, which was bitten by the very reptile she was looking for. He never bit her before! Maybe...he's just mad? Probably. Eshkun seemed worried: she must've smelled the blood, and was demanding to know what happened. "Nothings wrong, Eshkun, a branch just scraped me," Pomona lied, paused for a few moments, then sighed when the deer calmed herself down once again.

Hisla briefly stuck her tongue out in response to the deer's staring. Responding to what Pomona said about humans, "You say that as though every human you've come across was a monster. I assassinated some Slivea a while back, and every single one of them was a monster, them and their scaly pets," Hisla, not wanting to talk about something so sore again, rode off through the gate. She stopped a short distance down the road, waiting for everyone to get a move on.

[center][fancypost=backgground-color: none; border: none; width: 425px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9pt]That sentence caused Eshkun to rear up onto her hind legs with a loud grunt--which almost caused Pomona to fall off, but she managed to grab onto her neck just in time--and slammed her hooves back onto the ground with a snort and a shake of her head. Gritting her teeth, the doe pawed at the ground, the 'prongs' of her 'antlers' scraping lines into the soil. "Eshkun, it's fine," Pomona whispered, recieving a snort from the doe as she lifted her head into the air and trotted outside, shooting a glare at Hisla as she passed them. The annoyed Cervine stopped a few feet away, her tail whisking from left to right as she waited for Alexandre to give the 'OK' to leave. The deer trotted around in a circle as she waited, and after a few moments she emitted strange chirping noises in her throat, and a few moments after Chayton and Aspen stood by them. Flicking an ear--which hit Pomona's nose and caused the Faun to sneeze--the doe's eyes darted around. Pomona sighed quietly and slumped forward, her fingers drumming on Eshkun's armor. "You okay Genesis?" The Faun asked, receiving a hiss in reply. That caused a frown to grace her features. "That's not very nice," she scolded, pouting and crossing her arms. Eshkun agreed with Genesis, and so did the other two. That caused Pomona to knit her eyebrows together and lower her ears, grumbling softly. "Can't you just forgive and forget? Come on Genesis, you're usually numb to these sort of things..." the Basilisk simply grumbled in reply, which seemed like a docile grumble, but his words caused Pomona's fur to crawl. "N-No! Absolutely not!"
