Midas was not this ungulate's child, but he found himself padding to where she now remained. He trotted towards her easily, clearing the landscape with easy strides with his still-growing legs. The apprentice gave a small nod as he approached, keeping things formal yet friendly. "Name and business, please?" The hellhound took a seat a few feet away from the female, making sure to face her directly, his gaze set intently on hers.

  • [center][fancypost=width: 428px; font-family: arial; font-size: 8px; text-align:justify; line-height: 95%]the one thing that had always been painfully clear in jean's memory of seamonster, or lapis, whichever she prefered, was that she had never been truly there. or at least so it had seemed to jean. lapis had always been elsewhere, whenever the two were together... for the extremely brief time that they had been together. something had drawn jean to the border this day, whether it was simply intuition or the angels had given her a little nudge she was unsure, but she was biased towards the angel's side. her intuition had never been very reliable. jean sensed her mother's presence even before the other peryton stepped into view, her heart pulsing and the blood roaring in her head. the first thing she noticed was the slight tilt of lapis' head; the second was the blank stare in her bright blue eyes. her mother was blind. honestly, she couldn't remember if that had been the case or not when she was younger; not that it mattered any.

to her disgust, jean's voice cracked. "m-mom?" she managed to choke out, in a voice far less steady and self-assured than usual. and she stuttered. jean grey did not stutter. that was something larimar would do, and larimar was dead. she had died with lapis. except, here was lapis, so maybe larimar was still in there somewhere too. jean roughly pushed the thought away. larimar was gone. permanently.

The young feline's ears twitched slightly as he drew to a slow halt Midas, his fictional brows furrowed slightly into a frown that consisted of confusion and intrigue. So, this was Jean's mother? At least, that was what it seemed like to Greek and the fact that the peryton had stated such a thing lead him to believe that his assumption was a safe, well made one. "What? This is your mum?" the youth muttered aloud, tilting his head to the right slightly as wide eyes focused initially on Jean before his attention then drifted onto the stranger who's name had yet to actually be disclosed within the situation.

The young kitten felt an immense sense of interest flood his thoughts as he gazed upwards at the larger creature through bright olive green eyes, marbled silver fur fluffed up slightly as he did so. It lead him to wondering about things that he probably should not contemplate. Will my father ever come back? Will he ever visit here? Will my mama come back too? I'd like to see them but what if they don't want to see them. I miss them. Greek blinked, averting his gaze from the mother and daughter in a feeble attempt to divert his thoughts elsewhere within his mind, attention honing into the pure white fur of the male stood besides him, keeping the curious glimmer held within his demeanour and gaze despite his focus seemingly being turned elsewhere.

  • A LITTLE REINVENTION — Destrian — The Sanctuary — He/him

Destrian had been kind of out of it the past few days, having come down with a small cold. Now he was back on his feet, and there were not only new members but new joiners too. It was good the Sanctuary was active and bustling, but he was a little confused as to who some people were. Hopefully he'd learn.

The bengal feline stood off to the side, watching Midas and the rest greet the newcomer as a quiet yawn parted his maw.
