tbh it doesn't in this clan because it's a fricken avalanche. It's giant rocks that can crash onto literally anyone no matter age or health.

Well, still, some cats would be farther away than others and others would be slower as well. Still a varying chance.

Thats why when it happens the cats that got odds go into camp and such. Thats why we make plans ahead.

Yeah, I think there should be planning ahead. Rolling before the event, so if you get an odd number you'll be more involved with the avalanche. Even numbered cats, will be further way and while they'll still be in range, they would sustain as much damage as the odd cats.
So, Odd cats will be dropped in the middle of it, and even numbered cats will be on the outer skirts.

If we do the dice thing, I like Chicken's idea where they don't necessarily die.

Maybe the lower the odd number is, the closer you are to death? 5 means you sustain damage but its recoverable, 3 is crippling damage, and 1 being death?

Idk. If everyone gets a crippling cat its pointless to rp. You can't have a clan of cats who can't do anything lol. I kinda still like either a bit injured,dead,or lives. Cause this clan needs new blood anyway its basically dead from the looks of it. XD

I see, how about this as a final compromise-
Rolling a 1 or 3 is equivalent to the death of your character,
Rolling 2 or 4 is recoverable damage - Honestly its up the player the severity
and 5 or 6 means your cat makes it out traumatized but alive.
