  • SPIRIT

    my head's above the water

(hey so um, i'm new here but have stalked this site for months lmao, please let me know if i do anything wrong!)

He hated being the only one of his brothers to be born white. He hated how his mom disowned him because he had white fur even though she had black fur.

The spirit bear let out a growl as he climbed the stairs. He wanted to get away from his family. He had no one to get his back. He had to fend for himself.

As he reached the top and made his way to the border, he huffed. He could smell so many scents...and he was getting hungry. Normally he was nice, but now he was just hangry.

For now though, the bear would wait at the border, kicking the dirt with his paw and muttering bitterly to himself about his family.

[size=8](welcome to feralfront + welcome to blizzardclan!)

Blake had never met a bear, so seeing one was shocking to the caracal. He had been a little bit hesitant as he stopped on his journey forward, eyes studying the unfamiliar animal. However he'd quickly continue to go towards the other, his grey-green eyes fixated on him. Blake had heard of the beasts from one of his sister's, who had been more of an enthusiast about nature then Blake was. She said they had stout legs in comparison to their actual body, that they were huge, and had little rounded ears. Was this what she had described? With a friendly smile though inwardly he was a little wary, he'd speak up. "Hello sir! I haven't seen you around here! What's your name and business here?" Blake would question, keeping his distance. He wasn't really portraying the uncertainty he felt - in fact, he looked just as darned jolly as he always did. Blake could probably figure out a way to kill the bear should he become a threat, it just wouldn't be with his claws and teeth.

Huh? Spirit took a step back, shaking his head. "S-sorry, sorry." he mumbled. His name and business, this...creature asked? "Um...I'm Spirit. And..." What did he want here? "I, um, was just looking for some food. Maybe a warm place to stay too, if there is one around here."

This island, though...it felt familiar. "Is this Bear Island?" he uttered aloud, though more to himself than the caracal in front of him.

  • [center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 440px;][align=justify]"Bear Island?" A long sleek white angora questioned the bear, stepping out from the woods to come greet him. The feline never heard of such a place, but the name sounds like a place where there could be many bears populated all in one place. It would probably be crowded there if that were true.

"We don't have an island named Bear Island. BlizzardClan's main camp is in an enchanted forest. If you think this place looks like the island you mentioned, then I suppose it might make you feel right at home?" The angora tilts her head and smiles kindly at the bear. When she saw the mountain island she even thought that there was a possibility that her home became a part of the clan's territory, however it wasn't the same mountain she was raised on as a kit, but it still felt like she was at home.

Hearing him ask for food and a place to stay, she gave a polite nod of her head, taking a step forward to him. "Would you like to join BlizzardClan? We have plenty of food we can share and I think you would fit right in." she purrs at him. Oh right, she almost forgot. "Excuse me, where are my manners. My name is Yuki-Onna. You can call me Yuki of you like." Yuki-Onna smiles at Spirit, wanting him to feel comfortable knowing her name.

Pierce had known bears in the past. In fact, there had been one a few months ago, during Tama's reign over Blizzardclan, that had been really nice to him. She had scared him a bit, though. It was no surprise, since back then he was a lot smaller and wasn't used to the many differing species that dwelled in the clans. Now, though, he had dealt with far more frightening and intimidating than bears - hellhounds, dragons, "demons", and the like. Still, he supposed anyone could be scary. Arriving at the scene soon after Yuki-Onna, he smiled up at Spirit. "Nice to meet you, Spirit! I'm Pierce, the vice-leader around here," he greeted, deciding it was safe to start talking about other things, since Yuki had explained that they were in Blizzardclan. "Would you like to join BlizzardClan? We have plenty of food we can share and I think you would fit right in." He nodded enthusiastically to the stranger, smile broadening.

"Yeah, we'd love to welcome you into our ranks!" he added, tail swishing behind him. "Or, if you'd just like to stay for a little while, that's fine too." Not everyone was prepared to be committed to a clan, but he was pretty sure they were safe from this guy becoming or being an enemy. They had more than enough food, and many empty huts the newcomer could stay in.

In her time in the clan, Luna had yet to see a bear on the border, but her face remained still as she walked over to sit near Pierce. There wasn't much else she could do besides stare at the large creature, mild curiosity dancing in her eyes but nothing else showing in her expression. Yuki-Onna and Pierce had beat her to the punch with introductions and offerings, and they'd phrased them way better than she ever could. Now all there was to do was to see if the bear would take their offer to join their ranks temporarily or permanently (or were any of their stays permanent?) She would introduce herself if he did.

// welcome to blizzardclan! and spirit bear is an amazing book, if that's what spirit is based off of!

    my head's above the water

(thanks! spirit actually was gonna be a cub like in a show my little sis watches, but i decided to make him into the bear from spirit bear since i read that book in middle school and loved it aaaa, so it's basically a mix of both :3)

He turned to the next creature to arrive, a...well, he didn't know what it was. It seemed to have similar features as the caracal, just smaller and with white fur. And her name was...Yuki? What a strange name. And...this wasn't Bear Island, but rather this was...BlizzardClan? What was that? It seemed...peaceful. Maybe even better than Bear Island if those two humans were going to come back and pave it into a "mega storage".

The next one was also similar to the caracal and Angora, just with larger ears and spots. He introduced himself as Pierce, and he was the vice-leader. Spirit had never heard of such a rank, but as he pieced the puzzles together he came to the conclusion that a vice-leader was an assistant to a leader. So this "BlizzardClan" had hierarchy. Interesting.

He shifted his gaze to Luna as he made his decision. "I...suppose I'll stay. I've never been in "BlizzardClan" before." A small smile spread across his features. "My name is Spirit. It's wonderful to meet you all. Would you all mind maybe...telling me more about your group?" He wondered if this was all that was here, or if there were more creatures that inhabited this island with...an enchanted forest as a camp.

  • JESTERTRAP PRAELIUM
2 months old - male - child of blizzardclan

    [center]

    (Welcome!)

Jes had never met a bear before; he was too young to have experienced such a creature yet and having literally fallen to Earth but a week ago, there was still plenty for him to discover. With a cloud of hazy blue fog and cosmic dust trailing behind the midnight-hued starborn kitten, each pawstep emitting the faint sound of twinkling bells, he bounded over to the powerful stranger with a jovial energy, grinning from ear to ear. By the stars, he was amazing! Bears were amazing! Truthfully when he heard the word, with his naivety he imagined exactly what he saw in front of him; giant, furry, though a little less canine-like than he expected. His mind was far too occupied with the knowledge that a bear was joining for pulling his infamous trick (as Jestertrap would normally do upon meeting a new member of his clan).

"Hi!" he squeaked contently in youthful enthusiasm, staring up at Spirit with a pair of azure circular visionaries resembling that of two full moons. "I'm Jestertrap, but call me Jes instead! Or Jesse, if you like, I-I don't really mind" Really, Jes didn't mind any nickname. "This is BlizzardClan! I fell here not too long ago, but my mom lived here! We're all very friendly here and we fight bad guys. Uh..." Well then, he really had to research his own clan, the birthplace of his reincarnation. "That's all I know...what's Bear Island?"
