  • [center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 465px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8.4pt; line-height: 1.4;]The typical warrior in your everyday life. He wore his heart on his shoulder, was justly, kind, and loyal. He was the ideal riverclanner. -Is what he'd like to say. But none of those were true. He kept his feelings to himself, buried under piles of bricks. He wasnt fair or kind, he was stubborn and done with everyone. So done to the point that he'd tell them what they wanted to hear then ignore everything else. The only thing he could agree with is his loyalty. Riverclan was his birthplace, his home. He grew up here, serving his life as a warrior peacefully. Of course he was loyal! He even hid his sexuality and got a mate to help the clan. However, his mate died during childbirth, along with his sole daughter.

He'd taken two moons to heal from the heartbreak, not of his mate but from his daughter. Truthfully, he pitied Littlebird, who had generously loved him and taken him as a mate despite the idea he'd never love her. But his real sadness was for his daughter, who was born due to the need to prove his loyalty and died without a single inch of love. By the time he got over their deaths, Smokestar had apparently ran away and left Cougar-star in charge. Since he never truly met the she-cat or any of his new clanmates, he'd only find it appropriate to greet maybe her and his clanmates sometime. Aka, today.

He wasnt attractive nor important but he prayed to starclan that some cat would greet him. After all, he was eating by himself out in camp for the first time in a while. Perhaps someone payed even the slightest bit of attention to him to even know that.

//rushed + random ass backstory lmao, didnt think this through ><

They hadn't seen this cat within the clan, but they scented Rabbitfoot from time to time. Normally he would follow the scent, but it was either when he had to go out and train, or it was inside the warriors den. Apprentices weren't allowed to go into the warriors den, considering that was a sign of disrespect. I mean, he could, but he got into enough trouble on a daily basis. Entering the Warrior's den would only add more problems to the one's he already had.

However, today the scent was out in camp, near the freshkill pile. Yes! Let's find out who the mysterious person is! Given the fact that Rabbitfoot was a senior warrior, he probably did not meet Mistpaw. Seeing as he was only six moons old, and starclan knows how much time Rabbitfoot spent holed up.

The small chubby apprentice made his way to the scent, considering he didn't know what the other looked like. That's when he saw him. A black and white feline. Mistpaw approached the warrior, sitting down next to him. "My name is Mistpaw. I haven't seen you around, who are you? I just know you have a lovely scent, and now I know that lovely scent belongs to you!"

// I saw a heathers ref, this is before mist is sick no one treated him yet

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; text-align:justify; borderwidth=0px; width: 500px; font-size:8; line-height:120%;]Adderpaw, as always, wouldn't bother speaking, but observing. The peppered apprentice would only use a headnod as a greeting to the both of them, and especially to the unfamiliar face.

  • Wrenbreeze was very much in denial about his own sexuality. He felt an attraction to both males and females, but he always played it off like he only enjoyed the she-cats of the clan. He wasn't against same-sex mates or whatever, but he just felt...odd about the whole thing. It was just so normal to see males and females together, so he naturally adjusted to it, the whole traditional custom of it. That's why he never gave his preferences a second glance.

He had seen Rabbitfoot around himself, since he slept in the same den as him, unlike Mistpaw. He'd never interacted with the tom before, since he wasn't very friendly-looking in the first place. But he guessed now was as good a time as ever. The apprentice had already beat him to it, though his introduction was a bit weird sounding. "Ey, Mistpaw, cut that out. That just sounds creepy," he says to him with an uncomfortable look on his face, mouth twisted into a frown.

Standing beside his apprentice, he nodded to the tom, a smirk now on his face. "I'm Wrenbreeze. Nice to finally meet ya," he greeted, turning to Adderpaw before adding. "And this is my apprentice, Adderpaw. He, uh, doesn't speak much," he was already fond of flaunting off the fact he had an apprentice, even though he was still a little nervous about the whole ordeal.

rainwatcher wouldn't even bother talking about his preferences. what was the point? he was a medicine cat now and medicine cats were prohibited from having mates. he guessed it just helped him out, in the long run. no one would ever bother him about his sexuality.

"it looks like wrenbreeze already said it for me." he frowned at mistpaw after this. of course, the minute rabbitfoot comes out of his shell mistpaw has to go and say that.

"anyway, hello," he greeted politely. "rabbitfoot, right?" he tilted his head at the tom. "i haven't seen you for some time ever since..." his tail drooped but quickly perked back up. "well, it's good to see you."

The empress was next to approach from the caverns of tightly knit shadows in which coated her frame like silk sheets before they were withdrawn as the chausie made her presence known. The delicacy of sweet light coming to concocted against a gaze of liquidated emerald gems sustained with hints of hardy gold. A long tail of severed origin coming to lash softly from right to left upon sinking forward with the ease bestowed within a shadow itself.

Ears of notched origin shifting gently as she observed the nature of the situation in silence, darkly striped limbs of lean poise coming to propel the tyrantess forward just as though she was a viper of sheer elegance and danger, in which she was.

Fangs of ivory coming to glint against the light just as whiskers of soft webbing caught the sun's reflectivity. Slinking beside Mistpaw, an apprentice whom she lacked conversation with, though- found him just as interesting. His comment calling for a brow of amusement to escape her maw. Taking a moment of silence before the amusement faded as her features snaked upon the familiar features of a Manx. "Rabbitfoot," Cougarstar greeted bluntly, her vocals were dry and just as sharp as a knife. Almost as if her voice alone could drive away her enemies, though, the goddess's narrow-eyed gaze held an unfound warmth for the tom within shadowed pupils. However so, she lacked any such empathy for the tom, nor would she show sympathy. She rarely showed such traits- it was nearly impossible for the Leader to do so.

Despite his lack of presence recently, Cougarstar knew everyone within her camp and nobody would go uncalled for. She was a figure of manipulation and observation, she knew everyone and everything that happened within the walls of the camp. Well, she liked to think she knew everything that went on in her borders. But unfortunately for all, that was a task of impossibility and she knew that. "How are you, really?"

  • [center][fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 465px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8.4pt; line-height: 1.4;]Living proof Starclan was real. No way not to believe it. After all, it only took mere seconds for an apprentice to come bouncing over. And, well, apprentices werent exactly his first choice of someone he'd like to share tongue with, it was better than no one.

The senior warrior couldnt help but chuckle lightly at the apprentice's words. So full of life, no restraints. If only things carried like that forever, no worries to be found in the world. "Rabbitfoot, nice to meet you," he greeted with a small smile that didnt part his lips. "Im the kermit who lives in the warrior den, but thats about it. And, um, thanks."

Apparently, he wasnt too good at keeping his eyes on anything other than the one he was talking too, because when he looked up - a party had gathered. Instantly, he grew flustered by the sudden interest in him. He was expecting one, maybe two people to say hello but not a crowd. Embarrassed, his ears drooped slightly and, under his bicolored pelt, he grew red.

"Hello Adderpaw," he rushingly greeted the quiet apprentice, giving them a curt nod. Then turned to Wrenbreeze, pulling off a small smile. "Good luck on training Adderpaw, apprentices can be quite a paw-full. And nice to meet you," he managed before giving the younger warrior a small dip of his head. Then turned to Rainwatcher as Cougarstar arrived. He felt his ears drop more as Rainwatcher almost mentioned his mate's death, but push any thoughts of the event away. "You too, Rainwatcher. Glad to be out of that den for once. Good morning, Cougarstar." His gaze turned cold, only to be replaced by a cloud, hiding his true thoughts. "Im good, thanks for inquiring. My back could do better but I guess thats just 'cause Im getting older."

// we've all been there before bud lol

rainwatcher felt a little bad for rabbitfoot. usually everyone left him alone, but now he was practically being bombarded by 'how are you's' and greetings...and mistpaw. he trailed his tail along the side of his brother's, a silent signal to tone it down. "i'm glad to hear you're doing well, rabbitfoot." the tom blinked warmly. he could almost hear the other's spirit droop at the almost-mention of his mate and daughter's death. it was relieving to see that he quickly took it in stride and kept on, ignoring rainwatcher's slip up.

he leaned forward and peered closely at rabbitfoot. "if you want, i could give you something to ease your back pain." he offered, tilting his head at him. it was true that the senior warrior was getting older. 32 moons wasn't a small age. "it wouldn't be too much. just stop by the medicine cat den later if it starts hurting really bad."
