  • Rosaline "Rosa" Flinns - Twenty-Four - Pink-Blonde Hair + Amber Eyes - Homicide Detective

All of those years of training finally paid off. Rosa was finally entering the job of her dreams. She was going to be a homicide detective. Sure, the job seemed odd for someone like her. The girl was always so cheerful, optimistic and carefree that it would be hard to even associate her with a job such as this. It's just been something she's been dreaming of since she was little. Though, it was probably a bit odd for Rosa's mother to see her daughter wanting such a job, especially in a small little town where nothing happened. Still, she pushed forward and gained scholarships to go to the academy of her dreams. From there, she graduated top of her class, soon leading her off to her new job.

Though, the big city didn't quite suit Rosa. Although, it wasn't like she could do much - her job wasn't going to work out well in her little town. Besides, the girl wanted to spread her wings and fly. She wanted more freedom here than she got earlier on in her life. Though, she was a fish out of water here. Everything was so different - the sights, the sounds, the people. Nobody was nearly as welcoming as she thought. Her optimism wasn't quite killed, though. It wasn't like she'd be seeing these people again, anyway.

It was her first day. Rosa was ecstatic. She practically had to keep herself from running straight into the department. Instead, she tried walking as calmly as she could. The girl didn't look like much of a professional. She didn't own fancy enough clothes, and this place didn't have any uniform for her. Not to mention her hair was kept in a completely messy bun. She stood out even among these people, though she didn't care. She glanced down at her paper, reading the office she was supposed to go to. Huh, this guy has an office? Interesting.

It took Rosa awhile before she found the office. She honestly got lost, having to ask around. It was actually pretty embarrassing for her. She didn't mind it too much. In fact, she figured out where some of the people kept their food, which was accompanied by a coffee pot. She'd kill for some coffee, though she knew that meeting her partner was more important. When she finally found the office, she let out a sigh of relief. Rosa moved over to the door, opening it slowly. She was quick to see a man, who looked like he was waiting in there for her.

"Heya there!" she greeted him, fully aware of how informal she sounded. She just hoped that it wouldn't be a big deal. After all, this was just her first day at work.

-before you ask, this is bxg, so you are required to make a male. If you're interested in this plot but don't like bxg/playing as a male, please feel free to shoot me a message. I don't bite-
*Just jump into the thread! No real form is required, unless you feel like filling one out. All I really ask for is an image, name and age.
*Please, post at least two paragraphs per post. I have a hard time collecting muse for anything less than that.
*Feel free to cuss. It doesn't bother me.
*I'd appreciate our characters being in a similar age range, though it is not required.
*Your grammar doesn't have to be perfect. I know mine isn't. All I really ask is that I'm able to understand you.
*Feel free to tweak a few things about Muse B. Just don't go and completely swap the character on me, alright.
*Keep this site-appropriate, alright? I'm not interested in the crap that could get us banned.

    *Have fun!

  • (Just thought I say hey first before I start. And to let you know that I'll be happy to do two paragraphs but please don't expect me to do them extremely long every time. Would four maybe five sentences per paragraph work for you?)

Kyhber "Ky" Gardner ~ 25 years old~ Russet brown eye color ~ Light brown Hair color

Kyhber, a prodigy within the police department of the city. At the tender age of fifteen, he graduated high school with honors and a 4.0 grade point average. It was only three years later when Ky completed schooling needed in order to become a homicidal detective and thus becoming the youngest known detective to join the force. Now a twenty five year old man, he has yet lost nor failed at a case. However, the department is insisting that he gets a partner or they will be forced to let him go, no matter how good of a detective he is.

And now we're here, the fated meeting between the genius of the police department and the promising newbie fresh out of college. Now Ky would've been in a better mood (although it's not much considering he didn't want a partner in the first place), had the girl been on time for their introductory meeting. But because she kept him waiting, the brunette is in a rather cranky mood. "Hmph... I don't care if this your first day on the job but I don't appreciate being kept waiting." The tall man sneered from his seat behind a rather large and well made oak desk neatly organized to his specifications. "If we're going to be partners, then I expect you to be punctual from here on out. Hell, coming in early may work in your favor Miss Flinns."

(Does this work for you for a first post?)

  • Upon hearing Ky's words, she could just tell how unhappy he was. She let him finish his statement before interrupting. Although, she had to think over her response for a moment. Clearly, her new partner was not nearly as friendly as she had hoped. That, or he just had some sort of obsession with being on time. She sort of hoped it was the latter; that'd be something easier for her to adjust to.

"Well, sorry. I'm not really used to this part of the city, Promise this won't happen again!" she replied, not seeming to be too bothered by what he was saying. She just hoped that he wouldn't act like this all the time. It wouldn't really be a pleasant thing to put up with. "Uh - is there anything we're working on today?" she asked, just to change the subject. She wasn't really expecting to have anything serious on the first day, but she thought that some kind of work could help her prove she was capable of doing her job.

//Hey, thanks for joining! And that's fine. I honestly get more muse from longer posts, but about four/five sentences per paragraph works for me.

  • (Thank you so much! I'm not used to writing super long posts so this a challenge for me to extend and improve my writing.)

You know how the adults in Charlie Brown sound like it's been muffled and the words were replaced with "whaw whaw whaw whaw?" That is what Ky ends up hearing most of the time when he chooses to tune out those that annoy him. He's not doing it to be an asshole (although he is one), it's just that he blocks out information he already knows and doesn't need it to be repeated. Either way, this chipper young woman was going to be a thorn in his side until proven otherwise and he's going to make sure she pulls her weight.

"Don't make promises you can't keep." The brunette huffs as he rolls a ball of some sort in his hand. "You better get used to this city fast because you will need to know every route possible like the back of your hand as part of the job." Now after her question was uttered, Ky momentarily places the ball down on the desk and pulled out a large folder of his latest case. It is a string of gruesome homicides with one major link in between them. A pair of razor sharp scissors (or quite a few of them) used to crucify the victims. It seems that the scissors is the calling card of the killer but Ky has yet put a name to a face. He dropped the extremely full folder into the woman's lap.

"This is the latest case I am working on. In that folder is the information the forensic scientists have provided me with, the pictures of the victims, the crime scenes themselves, and my own personal notes. I'll give you an hour to read all of that before we go to the scenes of the latest killing by our lovely serial killer." Yep, he's going to be an asshole about it. This is only going to be the first of many tests this man is going to his his new "partner" through.

  • Rosa was silent when he spoke again. It was mostly a sign of her trying to be respectful. Even with him seeming to be pretty negative, she just wanted to at least try and leave a good impression on her partner. So far, that didn't seem to be the case; it didn't really seem like he liked her. Or, still, he probably was just serious about his job. Rosa Honestly hoped that he was actually nice.

But when he gave her the case folder, she had to hold back a grin. Despite the fact that her job mostly dealt with gruesome and grim things, she always felt that it was a good way to prove her own skills. Maybe if she could help him out with this case, she'd actually prove herself. "Alright, I'll get working on that," she replied, looking down at the file. So she then started reading through the papers. She made sure to read through everything multiple times, and spend extra time observing any photographs that may of been provided. She wanted to get in as many details as she could before she started working.

  • "Hmph..." he huffs, setting up a timer to go off after an hour has passed. During that time, Ky went onto his computer to review his notes. Really he doesn't need to for he has an eidetic memory but it never hurts to review while he waits. His eidetic memory is a very good thing to have to remember even the smallest of details (although there's some downsides too).

When the timer beeped, indicating that the hour is up, Ky stood up. "I hope you read through everything." He said gruffly as he grabs his jacket and keys, moving to head out.

(Sorry for the shorter post! I couldn't think of what else to write for this morning.)

  • Through the hour, Rosa took a few notes. She spent the majority of the time trying to memorize everything, though she made sure to actually fill out a few pages of her notes. She lost track of time, being completely absorbed into her work. She nearly jumped when she heard the timer beep. The time was up already? That was fast.

Rosa stood up, soon after he started to head out. She made sure to put her notes in her pockets, leaving the file in the office. She doubted that they actually needed it on the case. Carrying around a bunch of files would be a bit of a problem. "Yep! I read through everything. I also took notes," she replied, mostly as a way to assure him that she could actually pay attention to these kinds of things. She would make sure to follow after him as they headed out.

    //It's fine!
