Through the ice covered streets, snow falls strong enough to limit one's sight to eleven feet. Along with this white coverage the sounds of feet rapidly hitting snow travels with the wind as long pink hair waves behind. These sounds were a result of panic. Kaylyn was running not from someone, but something. Her breathing was heavy as a result puffs of mist forming from her breath. She refused to look back but she could tell it was getting closer, the sound of four feet galloped behind her.
Kaylyn was growing weak as the pursuit continued. A snow covered car was located near the side of a building, which she noticed an open window. Taking the chance she makes a route for the car jumping on top of the hood and crawling her way on top. She could hear the beast that was after her gaining after. One she reached the top of the car Kaylyn looks back. The figure of the animal slowly appears, its upper jaw snarling as it slowly approaches. Enveloped be fear she takes the chance to jump and grab onto the open window.
With a bit of luck, it's hardly pulled off, and she is caught slowing pulling herself into the 2nd story of the building as the hound below her circles. Finally able to pull herself into the room Kaylyn shuts the window. Snow had built around the general area. Looking around the room actually appear newly inhabited, mainly based on a few cans of food located on top of a table with a cloth. She slowly stands up looking around the room as it appeared abandoned like most of the buildings throughout the city. The wallpaper was slightly torn in areas and the 'furniture' seemed to have collected dust and a bit snow.
Kaylyn slides up from the floor where she had been kneeling. She strolled over to the table where the cans sat, and was quite shocked, as they seemed new. This was quite shocking to her considering the town had been frozen over for a whole year.
While she was inspecting the can, the sound of footsteps caught her ears. Worried she might have found someone hostile she ducked under the table, hoping the cloth would act as a blind. She waits underneath hearing the footsteps enter the room she was currently in. Suddenly she noticed the footsteps stopped and a match was lit, most likely for a candle. They then resume, slowly coming closer to the point she could see human and clothing walking around the table under which she hid.
