    Maya - Alpha Female

Maya stretched in her bed of tattered blankets, the smooth coated border colli, let off a yawn as she blinked her eyes open. Her pack was currently residing in an abandoned warehouse building, which was not hard to get into for the dogs. She settled back down as she looked around the large open space. Dogs were scattered along the edges, and no one had a particular spot to be in. There was unstairs, where she preferred to sleep, but last night she had come back from the Park exhausted from her latest scavange, and bruised up from a scuffle with a loner. Nothing major and she was debating on telling Todd, her mate, or not.

    Tuck - Male Member

The large black german shepherd had stood guard at the main entrance, which was a broken door that the dogs could squeeze through to get in and out and led into the alleyway, not the main busy street. He yawned as he was getting tired but made no move. He was to remain where he was until others were up and alert. Then he was allowed to move from his position.

  • Francis stirred from where he lay against the wall, thick fur laying flat whereas others had their fur spiked up. Since his coat was so thick, he rarely had trouble with the cold. Dark brown eyes opened as he lifted his head, massive jaws stretching wide in a yawn, long fangs glinting in the pale light. Under all the fur, Francis was still quite a big dog. With the fur, he seemed almost as big as their beta male. The mastiff got to his feet and stretched out, tongue lolling out the side of his mouth with another wide yawn.

Unlike many of the others, Bailey was awake. He sat on a large crate at the corner of the room, able to keep an eye on all the dogs. The massive dog's bright gold eyes flickered over to their alpha female as she stirred, a certain warmth lightening his gaze. Then he shook his head and looked away. He had no right to hold such affections for their alpha, especially when he was such good friends with Todd. And yet, try as he might, his eyes once again slid over to the black and white female, though his gaze was carefully neutral this time. To anyone looking, it would seem as if he were just watching over everyone, as he always did each night.

  • Todd has spent the night in his known spot. He had chose a spot with what appeared to be a flat couch(odoman?). His eyes fluttered open to light coming through a window on the top floor of the warehouse. His gaze shifted around the room. He hadn't noticed his mate at all. Where was she? And by the smell of it she hadn't joined him at all last night. The alpha male got to his paws and stretched. He would find Maya. The lean and musclular border collie made his way down the stairs and into the lower level. He looked around the room for a moment. His gaze landing on Maya. The brute made his way towards her

  • Maya looked around the warehouse, spotting Bailey, her ears perked as she went to get up and go over to say good morning when her eyes landed on Todd approaching her. She padded towards him, "Good morning." She woofed lightly. Her tail wagged as she got closer to him, and gently touched noses with him in greeting. "Sorry, got in last night and found the first available bed." Which was true, and partly because she didn't want to wake him in the middle of night.

-responses will be limited during work hours :/ really busy today-

  • (Same it is currently 6:17am where I live and I won't be on that much till after 7pm, I get on at my lunch which is at 2:00pm))

Todd watched as she made her way towards him. He wagged his tail in greeting. Todd gave Maya a warm smile. "I don't mind being woken up my love. Aside from that how did your scavenge go?" he had noticed her movement change as she made her way towards him. The alpha male didn't want his mate to be out getting herself killed.

  • Achromic pelt ruffling, Mikasa lifted her head as the pack started coming to life again. The white german shepherd stood up from her corner on a blanket. Her jaws gaped in a yawn as she rose, stretching and popping her back before padding towards the active pack. With that, she sat, gazing around and waiting for interaction to come to her.

    -Still asleep because rushed-

  • "Morning Mikasa." Tuck yawned. The large black German Shepherd, sat beside the white fae. The large jaws yawned again, being up all night was really a downer. He was only slightly taller than Mikasa. His tired dark eyes looked over at her, but his esrs were perked in hopes she would like to talk. He enjoyed the company of the others of the pack and loved talking to anyone and everyone.

Maya nodded with a smile, "I know, but I still feel bad." She thought for a moment and said, "Found a decent amount. Even an old blanket. However, I ran into a scuffle with a loner. No injuries, well bruises but nothing serious. It was a scuffle over what I found." She sat down, watching Todd as she spoke. "We should have enough for today with last night's and yesterday's afternoon scavanges, food wise, that is." She informed him. Maya was thin, but not sickly thin, well fot from the hours Of scavenging amd various things she did with the Pack, including training. She was by far not the strongest, but probably one of the top agile ones due to being light and quick on her feet.

  • "Morning, Tuck." She greeted the brute. They were the same breed, both stout. She was smaller, of course, leaner. And they were completely opposite colors. She found it quite ironic as she nudged his shoulder with her own. "You should get some sleep. Knowing you, you were up all night." She spoke calmly. Her ears flicked. "I'll take guard tonight." She offered.

Bertholdt rose at last, leaving his corner and standing, his tail waving slowly.

  • Ooc @wild. My BF's family has a Catahoula Mix, they are so cool but really strong for their size.

"Of course. But I probably won't until later. I don't really like being asleep when everyone is awake." Being completely oppositr colors he found odd, as they were the same breed, but hey, there a lot of different color combinations of dogs out there. "You sure?" He asked about her taking Guard tonight. She didn't have to, as he really didn't mind. Yeah it stunk during the day but he never really found it boring. "Morning Bertholdt." He woofed lightly to the Catahoula.

  • Todd tilted his head as she spoke. "I'm glad your okay.... I want to take out a small group and do more scavenging. I got a tip from a loner about a group of cats gathering in an alley to the west. Enough to feed all of us.." he barked. The alpha looked around at his group. "I'm not sure who to take but I need strong dogs to help me." His eyes moved back to hers.

  • "Bertholdt, Kane, Bailey, and Francis if your looking for sheer strength. Bertholdt regardless, as he is quick on his feet and crazy strong. I was hoping to have either Bailey or Francis help me with that broken window towards the back of the house later today in getting something in front of it too keep prying eyes of Humans from snooping." Maya spoke gently, watching him. "Tuck was just on Guard, so I advise against taking him. But up to you, just be careful. Cats are terrifying as is it with how quick they can spin and catch you with their claws." She was rightfully aware the damage that cats could do in numbers, as she had been on several of those 'hunts' before. And almost every single one she ended up getting scratched in the nose, legs, or belly. Cats were slipperly little buggers.

  • Todd gave her a loving lick on her forehead. "Thank you.. As for the window you keep who ever you need. I shall take Bergndt, Kane, Bailey. Meg can also help you if you'd like?" The brute gave her one of his famous charming smiles. He turned and Called out. "Bergndt, Kane, Bailey, and anyone else who is up for a scavenge come here." He called the group together.

  • "Alright." Maya woofed lightly and gently nudged him before looking for Meg. The Smooth Coated Border Collie padded to were Meg was and feeling bad for waking her she instead went towards Francis. "Hey, Francis, do you mind helping me with making a barrier on that one broken window?" She asked, "I have an idea on how to do it, but I'll need some help." She watched the mastiff curiously, he was easily double her size if not more and her ears perked forward in hopes that he would help her out.

  • Sugar slowly padded into view of Todd slowly, her tail low and her ears back. She shook her fluff a little when a chill creeped its way beneath her coat. Her eyes stayed low as she approached the Alpha. "Are- Are you the alpha?" She had to ask, she wasn't really sure. Sugar glanced around at the other pack members but her eyes kept glancing to the ground nervously.

  • Tuck watched the Shetland Sheepdog, who he had told the night prior to come back in the morning when the Alphas were up. is large black frame, kept an eye on her, but could already tell she wasn't much of a threat. If anything the fae seemed nervous, shy, and submissive as she approached Todd.

Maya's ears perked as she heard a new voice, but waited from Francis' answer.

  • The Turkish kangal slept peacefully that night, his body was tired from his late night run. He preferred to keep in shape incase needed. The gentle taps of claws along with the muffled sounds sturred the male. Slowly he rose to a seated position. Shaking his skull to clear his vision. Peeling himself from the ground he slowly walked towards his pack mates. Yawning a tad bit he grumbled mumbled hellos and mornings. Tall curling into its loopy form as his sleepy shield was breaking down.

  • "My name's Sugar..." She looked down and whimpered a little, clearly a bit scared. "I'm a medic dog and i was just wondering if you had room for me here?" She looked up at the dog in front of her and offered a shy smile. Her eyes darted around, hoping to find a friendly smile, or anyone who looked welcoming.
