The day was peaceful and quiet for Samuel, mostly spending time with his parents while they were home. Suddenly there was a knock on Anna's door.

Anna hadn't been doing much, mostly lazing around. She made the quick move to get up a moment after hearing the knock. Placing her phone down to the side as she made her way to the door. She moved to pull it open a couple moments after she'd gotten there.
-
(Just a warning I made this guy up with every stereotypical jerk I could think of.)
Outside the door stood a man with combed back blonde hair, green eyes that were covered by sunglasses, and a smug grin on his face. David, Anna's ex, opened his arms as of expecting a hug. "Hey babe!"
-
//m'kay.
It didn't take Anna long at all to recognize him, he was kind of hard to forget really. For a moment, her face would fall. Rather than hugging him, she pressed her lips together and instead took a step back, not bothering to greet him in return as she'd only make a reach for the handle of her door to close it.
-
Catching onto her intentions David put his foot in the doorway and his hand on the door. "Hey! Come on, don't be like this babe!" He almost sounded like he was whining about it, which in a way he was. "I missed you you know, did you miss me?"
-
Anna was quick to become frustrated despite her usually calm manor when she failed to close the door, dropping her arm at her side then. "Oh, I was just dying without you." She was quick to spit out, the sarcasm heavily lacing her tone. All she felt toward him was spite at the moment.
-
"Babe seriously, it was just one time alright! I couldn't help it, she came onto me and no offense but it wasn't like you were going to do anything fun with me anytime soon." David only rolled his eyes in response, a small sigh escaping him as if he was the annoyed one.
-
Anna noticed that much, and it only added onto her frustrations, just as what he was saying did. She just wanted him to go... she thought she had seen him for the last time awhile back, yet here he was with his bullsh-t 'excuse'... trying to justify his actions.
-
""You're gonna be really proud of me though Anna, I thought about everything I did and I'm ready to be a better person. I knew I had to come here now too because I heard rumors of you hanging around with some guy so I thought, well I can't just let my girl get stolen!" David explained, seeming sincere. Keyword 'seeming.'
-
Anna only glared at him in return. "Your girl?" She repeated, quickly followed by a scoff. She wasn't buying it. "That's bullsh-t! I stopped being 'your girl' the moment you made that decision!" Part of her wanted to believe him, to allow him back into her life... but she knew she had to let go and she was helping herself to do that by letting her pent up frustrations out.
-
David was rather taken aback by her remark, blinking in surprise for a moment before a frown grew on his face. "Don't be like that, it was a mistake okay? We all make one...a couple of mistakes! So I'm sorry for not being up to your perfect standards." He crossed his arms as he leaned against the doorway, giving Anna a small glare.
-
"A mistake..." Anna repeated in a mutter, tone somewhat disbelieving still. She'd begun to think he was the type that would make that supposed 'mistake' over and over again if he got the chance. She'd practically given up everything for him without asking for much in return.
-
"Yeah there you go! Just a mistake, now how about I treat you a nice dinner to celebrate us getting back together then?" David suggested, one arm going to loop around Anna's shoulders. He was rather intent on getting back together again, for whatever reason.
-
Anna hesitated, tensing as he placed his arm over her shoulders. Despite the side of her not wanting to get back together, she didn't disagree to the dinner, or bother to say anything else for that matter, shrugging his arm off.
-
"I'm not hearing a no." David smirked for a moment, heading back to his car. "Where do you want to go eat at Anna? You get to pick since I'm the one apologizing."
-
Anna was silent a good few moments, before she'd only half-heartedly pick out a place, not bothering to go through many options.
-
David unlocked his car and walked around to the driver's side before slipping in the seat and starting it up. He had a grin on his face. 'Ah, it's good to be back.'
-
Anna stood at her door another few seconds, a light frown playing at her lips. She didn't want to get caught up with him again, yet she wasn't exactly denying him at the moment.
-
"Come on babe, just dinner? I'll take you right back here if you don't like it." David offered when he noticed she was still at the door. He silently cursed himself for being too confident again.
-
Anna hesitated, before she reluctantly agreed, as much as she was trying to convince herself it wasn't the best idea. With that, she only silently got into his car.
