The sun had rose us high over the treetops when Volkan wondered out into the woods, a clear sign that it was noon time and the heat of the day hasn't risen up yet. It gave him a good opportunity for him to go out and do some training by himself for the time being. He has still unable to control the heat that comes off from his fur whenever the sun's rays hit his black coat, absorbing as much of the solar energy as much as it could before his coat overheats itself. He needed a way to control it without burning anything.

With a reluctant sigh to himself and deep in thought, he wasn't aware of his paw tripping over a tree's root, making him fall forward. He rolled for a while and went off to an edge of a cliff that he didn't know he was so close too. To his surprise, he was expecting to hit hard ground, but he ended up in water instead. As he submerged in, he felt a sharp pain hit his head, releasing all the oxygen that he had in him out from the shock.

Kicking his paws to where ever the surface was, the black wolf felt his head push through and immediately takes a gasp of air, relieving the pressure of his lungs from his lack of oxygen. He slowly swam over to where the land was, taking a few deep breathes to calm his nerves and glances around to see he had ended up in Shimmer Lake. He didn't expect the lake being close by, but he was extremely lucky that he had landed here. Volkan pulled himself out from the lake, staggering a bit from his heavy drenched coat and shook himself. The pain on his head throbbed, thinking he must have hit his head on a rock or something.

Thinking it was best to get back home, he slowly walked back, only to realize his vision suddenly began to blur. He stopped to shake his head to remove the blur visage, only to his horror it became worse. Flattening his ears to his head, his pelt prickled and his body tensed... everything went black. All his other senses became extremely alerted by this; his hearing widening, his nose twitching, and his paws feeling the flattened grass under him.

"Shit..." he cussed to himself, feeling fearful that he was by himself and unable to find his way back...he was utterly alone. The situation was bad. He just sat on the grass and waited.

  • [center][fancypost=borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;width:550px]Funny how one of BlizzardClan's medics was the first of members to stumble upon the obviously shaken-up male. It hadn't been intentional though, as he hadn't heard any screaming that'd sent him sprinting through the territory. Benjamin had actually just been trotting through the territory, trying to keep himself awake despite his body's need to sleep. It wasn't too hard to keep his eyes open, but occasionally his pale blue eyes would grow heavy. It was nothing a quick hit across the face from the cooler wind couldn't fix. Now though, all his previous thoughts were thrown from his head as Ben let his own soft gaze flicker over the other canine who sat pretty rigidly, who looked more than just off.. The hell? Something wasn't right. Call it a doctor's intuition. The healer slowed, catching the slight metallic scent upon his tongue. It was weak, but it was there. The guy didn't seem to really realize his approach either with his eyes. Instinctively, and from past experiences — Roe was looking towards the guy's head. It looked like his head hit against some rock, maybe? Something hard, for sure. A concussion? Maybe he was just dazed? He'd known of head injuries to cause temporary blindness, or for someone to grow deaf — internal bleeding? Christ, none of that was good. Ben purposefully pressed his paws into the growing grass in order to sound loud, as the Earth crunched underneath his weight as he did so.

"Hey, you alright?" Ben didn't see the other wolf's amber eyes tracking him, still. "It's Ben." Was it Sumino? The name wasn't real familiar with him. Was he a newer member, or had the healer just been too busy with other things — other matters to notice this guy? It wasn't like he... purposefully set out to meet them all. While he was now one of their official medics alongside Iselotta and Eggpaw — the lupine wasn't poking his head around and yelling his goddamn name. As he grew even closer, the male was noticing the sudden tenseness, the prickling pelt, the the ears flattened against his skull. Roe was puffing a breath from his parted jaws as he finally stopped near the guy, his own brows furrowing as he tried to search for something in other's eyes. But, shit, he knew when he spotted blindness in someone. The other's optics weren't physically damaged either from a quick look. At least there was a chance that things could turn around? He didn't know, really. It was fucking hope he held onto. Hope, something he would've been yelled at for having when training to be a medic as a kid, but now... "Your eyes, can you see outta' them?" He was nodding his head softly. Ben was making assumptions about the blindness, but again, the medic was sure something was off. It also looked like the guy had taken a jump into some lake, but he didn't think that was the actual story.

  • ooc// His name is Volkan.

[center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=Lucida Calligraphy][align=justify]The young obsidian wolf heard the soft movement of grass being stepped on, his senses becoming more alert. He felt the scent of another BlizzardClanner advancing towards him, sounding like he was being cautious when he came closer, asking him questions. He heard the voice of Ben, one of the medics from their clan, letting him know he was present. His ears perked, leaning forward in the direction of where he hears him moving closer. Relaxing at feeling him somewhat close to him, Volkan began to relax at the comfort that he wasn't alone.

"Ben... I accidentally tripped over a root of a tree and fell off a cliff," he began to explain, still anxious because he couldn't see at all,"I landed in the lake. I think I may have hit my head on a rock or something. The moment I climbed out and was about to head back, my eyesight became blurred...and now I can't see anything. It's all black..." He began to shake a bit, he wasn't know if it was from shock, but he had a deep gut feeling that he wasn't ok. Remaining calm was his best bet, thinking that if he began to stress anymore than he already is something else might go wrong. He had to keep still so Ben could examine him and let him know what he thinks.

  • [center][fancypost=borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;width:550px]/ oml sorry + lmao i read his name multiple times but it just went right over my head,, my bad!! this is really rushed and i'm tired rip

Tripped over a root of a tree and... what now? Fell off a fucking cliff? Immediately his eyes were narrowing further as concern splashed across is features. Benjamin though, kept his voice steady, calm, as that was all the other could seemingly base anything off of now. Sounds. Scents. Again, he hoped it was temporary. Blindness was... difficult to deal with. More for the mind than anything. "Hold on, might not be too bad — could be just some temporary blindness from hitting your head." The healer sounded reassuring to anyone who might've been listening, but in all honesty he wasn't sure. It was hard to tell with brain injuries, it always was. "All black, huh?" The medic was repeating the other's words, nodding his head gently — but soon remembered that Volkan couldn't see shit. The tension and strain of the guy came off in waves, battering Roe back himself, but the skinnier wolf kept himself still.

"Listen, I'm goin' to check that head of yours so just keep still like you are right now." He paused, shuffling his paws as he stood up to move some steps closer to the larger pitch black wolf. Benjamin was dipping his head down to push open the bag at his side, quickly eying the bundled herbs, bandages, and occasional small, glass capped bottles of disinfecting alcohol. And then, to the other's head. "Breathe in, breathe out. I ain't goin' no where." His lightly-southern accent twisted itself into his words as light flickered onto the ground and into their faces. "Closing your eyes might help, too." It was probably obvious Ben could tell that the wolf was... nervous. On-edge. Who wouldn't be? His own optics were flickering around where his head must've come in contact with a rock, or something in the lake. It definitely was looking swollen, maybe some smaller gash across the flesh — but it was really affecting actual brain functions. Like sight. Something wasn't going through. "You're eyes, they're fine. You must've hit your head hard enough so that it, uh — stopped being able to receive the pictures from what you see now. Make sense?" He was trying to explain without getting scientific about things. It didn't seem to be a result of internal bleeding either though, which was good. "You've also probably got some sort of concussion, too — from the looks of it. It's swollen, and I'll probably have to wrap it just because there's broken skin." Ben was pulling out some poppyseed, letting them fall into his paws before extending them to the BlizzardClanner, only to remember he... couldn't see. Right. "Thing is, it could clear up in just a few hours... days, weeks — or." The healer was speaking quietly, rocking back onto his haunches as he looked over his head again. "You feelin' anything else, or is it just your eyes, Volkan?" He finally asked as Ben attempted to place a paw on the other's shoulder to give him some sense of where he stood as his jaws finally went to quickly rummage around for the herbs and supplies he'd seen then.

  • //Don't worry, it's all good. I probably should let others know when this happens...because it happens a lot, lol.

[center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=Lucida Calligraphy][align=justify]Listening to him sounded like a jumble mess, but he meeky nodded is head in understanding, bowing his head a bit to let him look at his head. He took Ben's words into consideration, closing his eyes to his suggestion. Knowing the medic was here was keeping him at ease to a certain extent.

"Nothing else is hurting. My head was hurting after I got out from the water, but there isn't anything else." Volkan spoke a little more softly, feelings overwhelming him on the side that made him want to howl, but held himself back. He just kept wondering if he was ever going to be able to see again and quit his life of being a warrior. Would he have to retire? Would he have to avoid battles to come? Is he going to be able to do anything to help others? More and more questions keep coming to his mind about his future. The more he thought, the deeper his doubts grew. So many things we wanted to do for himself, but now everything seemed to become a handicap for him and there would be nothing to acheive for himself or help him grow. This was the end.

The black wolf remained still, listening to his pondering thoughts and his mood became weak and hollowed. "I won't be able to make anymore friends," he almost muttered pathetically. "I won't be able to help anyone, nor defend in battle if I remain blind. I just wanted to be able to improve in what I was lacking...now my future, my dreams, are too far out of reach." In truth, he just doesn't want to be left out or be forgotten because of him being blind. It wouldn't know what to do with himself from now on.

  • [center][fancypost=borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;width:550px]/ omg rush ED again + sorry for the late reply </3

Benjamin found himself nodding as the other male closed his eyes. The medic was rocking back onto his haunches, though he kept himself upright — steady enough to where it was easy for him to grab what he needed. "Alright." A simple word rumbled from his parted jaws as he moved to pull out a pre-made poultice of stinging nettle, along with it a few poppy seeds, and a roll of bandages. Throughout it all, the skinnier wolf kept an eye on the blinded canine. "I'm going to bandage your eyes too — don't want you to accidentally damage them physica-..." He was clamping his jaws shut as the older wolf spoke himself. His voice was pathetic, weak, quickly snowballing into some sort of panic. Ben expected as much. He was just acting calm himself, as what good did it do when the doctor joined in on the fretting. "Hey, listen." The male was making an attempt to gently press the disinfecting herb paste along the cut from where his head had cracked against... probably a rock. "Givin' up? Just like that?" He was pressing his paws into the ground then, shifting his weight as he eyed over the wound. "Pull yourself together. You're going to be just fine, Volkan." Ben's voice rumbled from his chest, as he aimed to moved to pull the bandages around the other's skull and eyes. "Even if you don't get... your sight back — ah, that doesn't mean you can't make any friends. Adapt." He wasn't really lecturing, as his tone still twisted around a degree of softness and sympathy. "It'll take some time, if things don't recover again, but stop this shitty negative thinkin'." The medic was pulling himself to finally finish securing the bandage around him. The lanky male was dipping his head, finally bringing up the poppy seeds to the other's mouth — giving him the option to take them directly from his paw, or try to grasp them himself. "How's that bandage feeling?" There was a longer pass as the the wolf attempted to put a paw upon the other's ebony shoulder. It was a gentle motion, one to show some concern. There wasn't much more he could do. They'd just have to wait, huh? "More importantly, how do you feel?"

  • //It's all good. I didn't want this thread to disappear in the other pages. X3

[center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=Lucida Calligraphy][align=justify]He didn't know what else to think for himself. Hearing the medic's words a little more, he took a moment to ease his chaotic thoughts and focus in the present moment. "The bandage doesn't hurt or feels tight," Volkan spoke a little more calmly, feeling the timberwolf's paw on his shoulder, making him feel a little bit more calmer. "I feel a bit relaxed now. But I'm wondering how to get back when I can't see anything." With the bandages wrapped around his head and eyes, he wouldn't know the way back by himself, not even by memory. But he could already guess that Benjamin would help him with that. "But...um...would it be ok if I stayed with you for the time being, or just in the hut where the medic's stay at?" he asked rather nervously. He won't know whether or not he'll recover from his blindness or not, but he felt if he stayed close to him or any of the medics that they would help keep an eye on him, even if it's for a while.
