EVERYTHING IS GREY - HIS HAIR, HIS SMOKE, HIS DREAMS
and now he's so devoid of color, he don’t know what it means—

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxxI was actually talking to puddles/Unitedtitans when I mentioned making a private thread, but I had requested one with Wavewing (I think).

Greyscale wasn't aware of the concept of health. He ate whenever he pleased, which resulted in the demon becoming slightly chubby. He also smoked, a hobby introduced to him by Jasper, a Riverclanner. He didn't sleep much, either, though that was partially caused by insomnia. He often wandered at night, when no one else was awake and the only noises to be heard were the crickets and the rustling of the trees. In fact, that was what he was doing now - walking at night. His glowing eyes acted as a flashlight for Greyscale, who's night vision wasn't too great. Even with the dim yellow light, he often bumped into trees or fell into the random ditches in the ground. Sometimes he felt as though the forest was out to get him, though he couldn't think of why. Luckily for the demon, the combined light from the stars and full moon was enough to illuminate the forest.

Greyscale had staying near The District ever since his encounter with Windchimes. He wasn't planning to join - at least not yet - but the odd structures of the place intrigued him enough for him to stick around. For example, he had recently found a particularly interesting thing amongst the others. It was a plank of rock balancing perfectly on some sort of metal thing. When he pushed down one end, the other end went up. He had put rocks on one end and pushed the other, and they had still went up. Until they slowly fell down to his side, of course. Regardless, he was proud of his find.

  • Wavewing didn't exactly require sleep. It was a consequence of her being around half water. She was flying around doing a sort of unofficial patrol when she noticed Greyscale walking in the forest. She swooped down silently behind him and morphed into a snake just to try and scare him. She enjoyed surprising people with her shapeshifting and hopefully it wouldn't scare the demon type creature too much, she hated when that happened. She slithered up to him and instead of hissing like a normal snake, she said "Your feet sure look nice today." It was her favorite weird sentence. It creeped people out but in the end, they always laughed it off. Hopefully that would happen this time too.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxxGreyscale, however, wasn't like most others around here. He let out a yelp at the sudden noise, though the snake itself didn't frighten him. His form was dripping again, from the fright, and the demon took a few deep breathes in the hopes of calming down and not having to go through...that again. At the mention of his feet, he would tilt his head in slight confusion. That wasn't a normal question to be asked, was it?
"Th...Thanks," he replied, a slight inquisitive edge to his voice as he wondered what the snake had meant by that. "Who...are you?"

  • Wavewing formed herself back into an eagle and introduced herself. "I am Wavewing, Nurse of the District and half water. Well, sorta half. It kinda changes from moods." It was more of a personal introduction but she thought it got the point across.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxxGreyscale merely blinked, though he had heard her. He took a breath from his cigarette, deciding to model his introduction after Wavewing's.
"I am, um, Greyscale, loner and basically made of slime." He held up a paw (which was still dripping from the fright she had given him) at the mention of his physical form.

  • Wavewing did not like smoking, although if someone else did it she wouldn't try and stop them. When Greyscale let out some smoke, she waved it away with her wing and said, "I've noticed that you hang around the territory a lot. Are you ever planning on joining the District?" This gooey creature seemed nice enough to be fun to have in the clan and he always seemed to be around so he would be very active.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxxGreyscale blushed a bit, not realizing that anyone had noticed him.
"Maybe. I have been thinking about it," he replied, exhaling the smoke from his mouth. He made sure he turned away from Wavewing first, so that she didn't have to wave the smoke away again.

  • "Well, I think it would be great. It would keep up activity and you could get some great friends!" Thanking Greyscale with a nod for blowing the smoke away from her, she flipped upside down and asked, "What do you think of the leader, Windchimes? Cause if you wanna join, you'll have to be comfortable around them." This was getting a bit off topic but Wavewing didn't care. She got bored of being upside down and righted herself before landing on the dirt.

//No real reason for her being upside down but as a was writing this, I just saw her giving Greyscale an intense stare whilst being upside down and talking.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxx//Okay?? By the way, maybe you could tell Grey that smoking's bad for him? He doesn't understand the concept of health, and therefore eats whatever, sleeps little, and smokes and drinks.

Greyscale's race reddened - blackened - more as he realized she must have also seen his reaction with Windchimes. Was she stalking him or something?
"U-Uh...I mean, she's nice." he replied simply. He wasn't sure what else to say. It wasn't like he knew her that well after one interaction.

  • "I'm not a stalker, don't worry. I may be slightly telepathic though. Also, smoking is really bad for you. It messes up all your lung stuff. And you're a bit on the pudgy side, it's not bad but I would suggest being a little more food conscious. You'll feel a whole lot better, especially if you make sure you combine good sleep. I struggle with that part." She thought this speech was longwinded but Greyscale looked like he hadn't been taught 1 thing about health. She flew herself to her room and promptly tuned her telepathy into his brainwaves. She listened patiently, being sure to keep her mind clear so Greyscale didn't hear her thoughts.

[center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]xxxxxWell, that was a lot of information at once. Greyscale blinked, trying to process what he had been told. Smoking was bad for his health? Even if he was a demon made out of slime? He wasn't even sure if he had lungs, or what lungs were. And he had noticed himself getting...pudgy was the correct word for it? Regardless, he hadn't known that was because of food. Well, that was probably useful information. And sleep...Greyscale had come to notice, from experience, that he was sadder the less sleep he got. How much sleep was he supposed to get? Well, Wavewing mentioned she had telepathy, so he wondered if she could hear him now.

Although Greyscale expected Wavewing to hear him, she hadn't expected her to respond in his mind. The demon let out a small yelp, then nodded quickly to acknowledge that he heard her.

What was Wavewing doing now? She must be able to hear him, so he saw no point in voicing his thoughts. What was her reason for approaching him, anyway. Oh, right. Trespassing.

  • "I wasn't poking at you for trespassing, I just wanted to say hi." She replied. She still thought she was being very stalkerish so she flew down to the slime creature to talk out loud.

Greyscale sighed, happy that Wavewing had decided to speak out loud instead. The thought communication scared him, to be honest.

  • //I'm in the middle of English with AJ behind me

Wavewing could easily tell he was creeped out by the thought communication so she decided that they could just speak for a little while.
