  • Bryn turned her horse toward Aradace and looked out over the men. She looked back at him, asking in a soft tone, "Where would you like me, Your Grace? Near you or with your men?" She didn't want to be away from him, incase you know, he got hurt and crap. But, the men were also likely to get hurt if the plan failed and they had to do something rash. Sighing, she licked her lips.

  • Aradace chewed on his bottom lip thoughtfully, "Most of the men will be with me during the attack, stay with me," his voice was some sort of mixture of an order and pleading. "The Demi-God can handle the front gate. The gods have sent him to us because we are doing what is right..."

  • Nomad was more toward the front of the group now. He had told all sorts of tales to Orithmae. Of course the soldier around him listened as well. But now that they were in the frosty lands of the North he had fallen silent and was preparing himself for battle. He looked to be left and walked up to the kind. Following his mount as he let The Daar and Byrn speak to each other.

He was going to enjoy this little exercise. But he was worried what they would do with him after? Exile? Priase? Execution? He frowned at the thoughts and shook his head.

  • Riding with her fellow soldiers, Ori did so in contemplation. Both the adventurer and writer in her delighted in all the stories Nomad had spoke of earlier, tales of glory and strength and perseverance. Of course, she was still unsure how to view, and hadn't quite reached the point of trust, but it still gave her much to think of. As much as she wanted to delve into the stories, however, she tucked them in a far place of her mind for later, and instead focused on her kingdom and the daar. That was what she was fighting for, and her mind could not wander in battle, She needed to let the warrior in her take over, drowning out anything else that may choose to try and win out,

  • Bryn dips her head in acceptance and she sat taller on her mare. Impatiently, she began to braid her hair to the side. Once she was done with that, she began to finger through her potions nervously.

  • Ori scanned the knights around her. Most looked forward, to the North, but Ori spotted the healer, the one she had noticed was spending time with the daar - was he injured? Or was there more to it? - and she looked a bit fidgety. Ori gently coaxed her gelding forward. "Have you ever been in a battle, lady healer?" Orithmae asked politely, hoping that talk might soothe the healer. After all, the healers were some of the most important positions here, ensuring a chance at life, should one be struck down.

  • Bryn looked at the Lady Knight, "Once M'lady. I know the horror of what could lay ahead and for that I am ever impatient and nervous. How about you, Lady Knight? And excuse my rudeness, I am Bryn. Please, refer to me as Bryn." She smiled at the Lady Knight.

  • Aradace beckoned the Nomad over, and once he reached him, he begin to speak in a low tone. "Are you sure you are capable of this?" Aradace seemed confident for the sake of his men, but inwardly he was nervous and knew if he failed a lot of people would be killed. Including his brother.

  • Orithmae smiled back at Bryn, her pale eyes soft. "Bryn is a lovely name. I'm Orithmae, but you can just call me Ori if you would like. I know how upsetting the time before the battle can make us. If you would accept a suggestion, it may help to think about what you're fighting for. It always calms me, whether it's training or true battle, to think about what it is I would lay down my life for. Of course, you are a healer, so perhaps the prospect is different, but I would still offer my aid if it would ease your mind."

  • Bryn smiled, "Thank you. Your full name is beautiful, as is your nickname. I fight for another person to live." She paused to lower her voice, "I don't fight for my home, or for my king. I fight for the people's right they have to have a longer life." Bryn smiled again and spoke, "But i occassionally fight for my king."

  • Nomad looked to the king. Eyes flaring with determination as he gave him one solid nod, "I know I can your Grace...I will open a path for your army in mere minutes. All i need is my target and your order to attack" He says and looks ahead as he continues to walk. "If they didnt have our friends hostage id destroy the whole capital..." He growls. His golden optics seeming to glow now.

  • Lennox sighed, they had been starved for a couple days now. She was beginning to lose hope. Though she felt like something big was about to happen. She stood walking around the room, pacing in circles. "I feel something..." She muttered to Zygax, her mouth dry from lack of water.

  • Zygax was at ease despite the situation, he knew what was about to happen. "Aradace is here," he said, in a somewhat delighted tone. He could also feel something in the air.

Aradace nodded, admiring the determination. He sounded as confident as Zygax. "Once everyone is prepared," he said as he glanced around, "March into the city and kill anything that dare raises a hand to you." He clenched his fist as if he were crushing the entire North with it, "The troops that are not going with you will raid the dungeon and we shall free those captured, pray they are not dead, so we can attack from the inside as well." He looked up towards the sky, "This is the day where the entire realm will bow to one crown."

  • Ori felt her chest warm at Bryn's compliment, the second one recently to her name, but the way Bryn explained her drives make Ori fall silent for a moment to think. "Thank you," she paused, turning to consider Bryn again. "That's a very honorable thing to fight for, To fight for the people's chance at life...that is something I've never heard anyone fight for." Ori glanced over at the daar as he spoke, and feels many emotions at once. Can they take a city? Ori knew better than to question so much before a battle, but she can't help the doubt in the back of her mind. "I suppose all we can do is fight for what we believe in."

  • Bryn sighed, mumbling, "Not everything must be figured out through fighting." She looked up as her Daar spoke, and she couldn't help but allow a smile to form across her face. I'll fight for you. she thought to herself.

  • Nomad nodded to the Kings word and sighed as he let some stress run from his body. He was ready for this. The North would experience something theyd only had nightmares of. He then trudged forward and walked up a permafrosted hill. Once at the top he was able to see the capital some distance off. He then ploped onto the ground and began to clear his mind. Meditating and focusing so he was fully prepared for the battle to come. He would show the Daar and his men how Travelers won the war.

  • Myvillion had heard about the impending army. A few guards had been talking about it as they passed him in the hall. The young prince knew that if the army were to succeed, his father, and most likely the rest of the royal family, would be killed. So what else would a person that Zygax has dubbed a coward would do but cut his losses and run?

He knew his sister was alive. Where she was, he didn't know. Myvillion had not seen her, since he had tried avoiding any family contact, but he was determined to find her.

Currently in the kitchen, Myvillion was gathering thing he would need on the long trip to his house in southern Shivaria. He had to be quick- this was the one time there was absolutely no one here to stop him. Hopefully he would be quick enough to return to his room.

    ~

Malsvir had gotten reports of an approaching army, which he knew was Arlneth's without any context. Who else had the guts, or the man power, to take on the North?

    It didn't faze him.

The two generals he had were working their tails off getting their men ready- armor, weapons, mounts, everything would be prepared before they arrived. They would not take the kingdom for themselves.

    ~

And once the Daar and his army marched into the capital, they would find empty streets. Not even rats or stray dogs would roam around. They too had heard the rumors. They wanted to keep what little they had, staying away from the fight.

  • Myvillion should be running, since he knows the power of the Nomad.

A few minutes, or maybe an eternity, had passed and everything and everyone was prepared for war. Aradace was looking within himself, he hadn't been in a fight in a very long time. Then again, he would be surrounded by the elitist Royal Guard, hand-selected by Zygax, that would die multiple times over for him. He gave the order for a slow march until they were within sight of the city.

  • Malsvir looked at one of the men currently putting on his armor.

"Find my sons. I want to talk to them before the battle.."

A pair of the soldiers left to go do as he ordered, leaving only three people in the room.

"The southern kingdom will not win this war.. a realm ruled under one man is chaos. Even if he were to 'win', there will be people who rebel, there always are.. There were always two kingdoms, and changing that could cause disaster throughout the realm."

    ~

Myvillion soon enough had gathered what he needed and snuck out once more. He stole one of the Shivi dogs, a particularly large one, and set out at a slightly slow pace.

I wish I knew were my sister was.. I would have taken her with me.. Or perhaps Isamae..

    He shook off the thought.

No.. She forgot about me.. She's happier here. She probably already has a nice man courting her.
