CHASTIEFOL BELLION - step into the night, get on the stars

He was not sure what had given him such a bright idea however, before he knew what he was doing, the youth was stood in the warm, dry sand a few feet away from the greedy, lapsing ocean. He had left his pillow up the shore in a safe, hidden spot, making sure to make it as discreet as possible. It was not that he did not trust his fellow Sunclanners. However, he did take into account that any potential trespassers or rogues could been traversing the beach and find the fairy-made weapon. Of course, he was also certain that no one that was not one of his own kind would be able to wield his beloved weapon however, he knew better than taking chances and this was not the situation that he felt like risks were able to be taken unless he wanted to end up possibly losing something important to him.

Chastiefol had not really had the time to swim before which was not that big of a deal considering the fact that he was almost constantly moving around before settling in Sunclan and he also did not like doing so in front of others due to his apparent reputation of basically constantly in the air and floating. However, he had noticed that the entire beachfront had been entirely empty. Not one soul had, at the time of his arrival at least, been around and there was therefore no one to be witness to what he was doing. At least, that was what he believed. There was always a chance that someone would discover him and he knew that he would most likely be pretty embarrassed if he was to have that happen to him although there was a chance that it could happen and he would not completely rule such a thing out.

He stepped into the sea, his paw sinking slightly in the wet sand. He could feel the water dragging the sand underneath him away as the current pulled the tide out, the fluid rushing away from him before crashing back a few moments later. Sea foam rushed aggressively around his legs as he steeled himself before beginning to move out. It would have previously been unheard of for one of his species to be doing such a thing like going out to swim. After all, they were more forest creatures whereas the oceans and bodies of water in general tended to be water nymph territory. However, he had yet to encounter the chastising tones of such a being and was hopeful that one would not appear and complain about his presence. The russian blue feline had waded out further now whilst in the midst of his thoughts until the waters were gently brushing against the short but fluffy fur of his sides. It was a nice sensation and he contemplated staying where he was, churning white foam clinging desperately to his navy pelt as he briefly halted. Chastie changed his mind about remaining in place however and was quick to get moving once more in the waters. He kicked his legs, pushing himself out of the shallows and well into the warm waters. The liquid swished satisfying around him, tugging ever so lightly at his fur as he allowed the waves to push him around. His hind legs were suspended within the aquamarine fluid as he ceased any physical movements. He paddled with both his forepaws and hind legs slightly, flipping himself until he was lying with his back in the water, paws resting lightly on his stomach.

"Mmm" the youth hummed, allowing the sun to warm the exposed fur as he floated along in the water, allowing the waves to dictate his movements. This was a nice change of pace although he was still technically living up to his apparent sin. It seemed that old habits died hard and his lazy way of life was something that was most likely never going to die. But, that did not matter. At least he was enjoying himself for once.

Many would think that the fox would know how to swim and sadly that was just something Hoseok couldn't do. It wasn't like they didn't try to swim, of course they had. It was just the fear of something coming out from underneath them that consumed their inability to swim. That and the time they tried to walk on the thin ice last winter. That was rather...unfortunate accident that they could've avoided if they knew how to control they fire elemental powers but sadly they didn't know how and the strong emotion of fear managed to flicker that ability on and caused the ice to melt under their paws and for them to fall into the water and nearly drown. Again, an accident they could've avoided.

Though that was in the past and they knew if they were going to live a long life with Sunclan they were going to have to learn how to swim. Even if it caused them major paranoia and anxiety. The fox was thinking of this until they remembered...they were blind. How were they going to even learn if they can't see where they were swimming.

Hoseok then pushed this thought aside, it was something that they couldn't accomplish and will never do so now. So with that the fox was in peace. They were never going to face the water and they were never going to have to swim. Probably a blessing in disguise, really.

Deciding that they should probably go to the beach since it's been a while since they sunbathed and enjoyed the rather nice feel of the sand under their paws, they did. Using at their best ability the map they had lay out in their head to arrive on the beach.

They caught the smell of the sea and felt the sand under their paws, signaling that they arrived at their destination and soon they were happy. Though they caught the scent of someone else. Sunclanner, maybe? Yes, definitely. Hoseok let out a sigh not knowing what to really do or say. It's been a while since they've held a conversation with someone, really.

Making their way closer to the sea to where they thought the other clan member would be they spoke up hoping they wouldn't sound awkward. "Uhm, hello."

CHASTIEFOL BELLION - step into the night, get on the stars
The feline had not expected company at all, especially considering the lack of clanmates that he currently had. So, when the vaguely familiar voice called out in uncertain greeting, he panicked. He instinctively flailed in the water at the sound of a voice penetrating his apparent lonesome reverie. Water very rapidly flooded into his mouth and he found himself for a few brief moments, dipping underneath the surface of the ocean. His eyes stung as the bitter salt water invaded his senses, alarm forcing his eyes open to intake the brunt of the water. The waves rocked him gently back and forth under the water as if trying to lull him, the sea foam frothing above him peered down as if the white substance was leering at him from their vantage point, mocking him.

His vision blurred for a few moments, the shock of the event causing his brain to cease its functions for a few moments. However, the young fairy was quick to regain his composure and frantically kicked out with his legs, propelling himself upwards towards the light. Chastie resurfaced, his body immediately rising out of the water as he found himself hovering above the water, turning his head to the side to splutter out what had spilled into his mouth as his lips had been parted in surprise. He tossed his head to and fro, blinking the water from his eyes as he attempted to see through the blur, swiftly pinpointing an oddly familiar individual stood on the shore. He found his levitating form moving forwards, mind working in overdrive to keep him safe where he was unable to do so.

"Hoseok?" he called out after trying to take in a shaky breath, pausing to spit out a little bit of the salt water that he had not yet expelled from his mouth before he lowered himself back into the more shallow part of the waters. He knew that if he would have continued to float above the area that he had been relaxing in then he would have probably plummeted into the sapphire depths and doubted that the leader would have been able to retrieve him. The shock of his sudden submersion had certainly torn his strength and abilities for the time being in half however, he would be able to quickly get over it. The sensation of the water once again touching him as he descended back down into paw height waters caused his stomach to twist slightly but he showed no anxiety at the soft, seemingly forgiving caress that the sea gave him. He was quick to get out of the water

It was quick to come to his attention that the other sunclanner did not know who he was considering the fact that they had never really exchanged words before. Come to think of it, they had never actually spoken before and he felt more than a little awkward at the fact that he had just come out with their name. Then again, it was in a way logical that he knew who the leader of the place was but it still felt weird to think that he knew them but as far as he was aware of things, they did not know him. That was not comforting enough of a thought however and he was quick to introduce himself in case he was correct in his thoughts and the leader had no idea who he was. "Uh, I'm Chastiefol, just call me Chastie though, if you want to." the russian blue feline said with a swish of his dampened tail, powdered blue gaze fixed on the crisper blue orbs belonging to the vulpine before him. Sand had already started to cling irritatingly to his short yet fluffy grey fur, the damp substance clumping slightly. He would have to go and take a proper dip in one of the various freshwater spots around the tropical territory that they inhabited.

For now, he would face the fox instead and hope that it did not cause any matting. "So, how's it going? What can I do for you?" he inquired in a genuinely curious tone, trying to come across as casual despite his previous blunder. He knew that this were perhaps just a harmless interaction where the other being had just happened to stumble upon him however, there was still lingering paranoia that he could have perhaps done something wrong and was being pulled up about it. But, after thinking it through he was sure that this was the former and not the latter considering the way that he had been greeted. He flashed a smile to the unseeing eyes before him as he positioned himself directly in front of the leader, head tilted slightly as he waited for a response.
