[center][fancypost=bgcolor=;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;color:black;]//just to clear up any potential confusion (although i doubt that there'll be any), chase has reunited with his old raven companion, link, and it's all nice and stuff because he missed his bird friendo
Chase had been taking a peaceful stroll in the rightly dubbed, flame fields. Even before, he had adored the various biomes that they inhabited but this one had at some point been his favourite and he was starting to feel that way about it once more. His head was lowered slightly, nose twitching as he focused on the lush vegetation surrounding him when he felt that something was off. It felt almost as if he was forgetting something. Something important. And, with almost impeccable timing, he caught the sound of a bird cawing a little way off. His gaze immediately snapped skywards, stomach churning as he felt a sense of familiarity flooding him. The feline broke into a light jog, silver triforce necklace thumping against his chest as he moved, the metal glimmering in the light and reflecting the scene before him. His eyes were fixed on the bird circling above him, ears angled against his head as he peered upwards. There was something oddly familiar about the avian creature flying above the scarlet landscape.
"Link!" the melanistic serval cried, delight dancing vibrantly within his icy crystalline gaze as he halted in his tracks. He turned his body slightly, allowing the avian being the space to be able to perch on his shoulder, turning his head to peer at the raven with a bright grin painted across his features. He had not expected to see such an old companion still around but it seemed that despite the time that had passed, the bird had still waited around for him. Chase felt a pang of guilt grip his heart at that thought though. What would have happened to the dark feathered bird if he would have died or never returned, be that a choice to not come back or a forced avoidance. The bird could have waited around for months and moths and potentially died without ever seeing Chase once more. Chase could have lost his feathered friend and the thought caused regret to seep icily into his veins, thinning his blood into a freezing stream.
"It's nice to see you still buddy. I missed you" he hummed, closing his eyes in an attempt to suppress the raging thoughts surfacing within his mind as the raven moved forwards and rubbed his beak against his forehead, the familiar interaction melting his concerns and worries away almost instantly. Of course, along with such a being, he knew that darker memories were sure to soon resurface but he knew better than to let the current bliss pass him by without even trying to move forwards. He tried his best to be positive at most, if not all, times and was not about to break that any time soon.
