  • Coolio I'll start.

"But Tyrin I want to go! Surely one day won't hurt anything!" Kitura argued as an older man with tanned skin, a white robe and blue eyes sighed and turned away. "You need to complete your training, until then you must stay on the island." "But!" A slab of ice appeared over Kituras mouth. "No buts, you are under our protection and therefore we order you to stay on this island." The man waterbended a path of ice to the shore, as Kitura stared at his retreating figure. She hadn't fully mastered making ice in the hot weather of the fire nation where she lived but she wanted so badly to be freed from the island.

She quickly melted the ice on her mouth and then held out her hands, picturing the ice path the older man made, the coldness of the ice that she just melted, she imagined a long path of just cold ice, and she took a deep breath and stepped off the island, onto cold...ice! "I did it!" Kitura cheered then the ice started melting as she lost focused. "Cripes!" She muttered as she focused again, each step the water below her feet formed into solid ice, she didn't open her eyes as she walked, the ice forming below her her main focus, until she felt sand below her feet, and she looked back, the little island she called home in the distance.

She was free! She let out a little woop, the old man gone, but Kitura knew that ice path probably took longer then she thought it did for her. She raced down the path, hearing sounds of a village below. She couldn't wait to be back among the people. She was their Avatar, at least thats what the Fire Lotus made her believe. How wrong she was she'd soon have to find out.

  • //If your unsure where to start, maybe have her visiting the small Fire Nation village on like a school trip or something? I mean I see no reason to have this pre-war where the Fire Nation is a bad nation that wants to kill everyone ^^//

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;] Keliani ran her fingers through her slightly tangled hair, having not brushed it since this morning. After all, she was excited for a trip that her specific tribes' schools were taking their yearly 'academic' trip to another nation, and she, of course had to come. Had she been more interested in bending rather than just going out, she'd actually be more concentrated on the instructions her supervisor was explaining to her and the other younger benders. But oh, how beautiful the scenery was as they neared their destination.

After all, why be concerned with learning like she did almost every day, when she already pretty much knew how to control her water bending. It was almost more like a talent rather than just a born ability. Even as a child. It wasn't until earlier that year, when the green would peek through the ice and signs of life erupted from the icy shambles of cold snow that many noticed a greater peek to the extent of Keliani's ability. It was an incident, a little one, in which she was tending to something outside, and spotted an old man nearly fall as he tripped on a small stone, when the ground dipped in order to give him a step of sorts, a traction, anything to save him from landing face first and getting hurt or his knees scraped. It was a sudden, miniscule thing, but not something a normal water bender could do. And then the occurance of more instances, not for a regular waterbender. Of course, there was something non-human that have her something that a teacher couldn't, but it was helped.
And thus, there was the inevitable test that the Lotus provided. Then came the attention, and with that attention, responsibility, and now, here she was, facing a trainer of sorts. Almost like a nagging parent, more like it. Speaking of which, was calling for her attention once again. "You can't go off daydreaming now, we're here!" He exclaimed. Keliani lit up, and could only grin. [fancypost=border-width:0; font-size: 8pt; text-align: center; line-height: 95%; width:400px;] ✧ — idealism sits in prison — ✧ /[color=#897E98] OOC;; Thanks! I'm so tired I cant even type up a proper reply- Ive been typing and deleting my drafts for who knows how long- hope this is fine

  • The firebender was so excited to be free she first headed to the center of town, a change of clothes would be nice and perhaps a haircut as well. As she was musing to herself she didn't notice the Waterbenders milling about, or well she noticed but didn't stop in time to avoid running into a girl who seemed like she just returned from a day dream. "Oof!" Kitura said letting out a huff and she shook her head. "S-sorry there!" she said scratching the back of her head nervously.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]Keliani strolled around the town, along with the group of waterbenders from her home village and their chaperone. Interestingly enough, the town wasn't as different as she thought it'd be; in fact, she felt almost as if she hadn't gone so far, despite the fact the trip took a while. Anyhow, she did find the trip interesting. Not only were the element explained to her at every small stop, but was present in the people around her, what with their clothes full of hues of brown and red.
As the 'tour' continued, she was met with kind people who'd even ask her the occasional question- it was nice, and she kinda liked it. BUt doing so made her stray a bit from the group, as well as her milling thoughts- which she was pulled from when a girl ran in to her.
"Oh!" She exclaimed as she fell back on to her bottom. Aside from the tiny ache, it hadn't hurt, but she still looked at the girl with a worried expression."Don't say sorry- I should've been watching where I was going- I should be the one saying sorry!" She insisted. • Kitura held out her hand to help the other girl up. "No the fault was mine I apologize, I was...eager to get somewhere." She said to the waterbender. "I just didn't pay any attention to the walk ways. My name's Kitura, you must be from one of the water Tribes." she said noting the outfit the other had on.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;] Kaliani took the other girls' hand, and smiled in appreciation. "Oh, well thanks! Um, sorry anyway." She paused before nodding. "Nice bumping in to you, Kitura. I'm Keliani, and uh... yeah, I'm with them" She confirmed. Well, not exactly. Yes, she was a part of the tribe, but she wasn't exactly a waterbender, or at least not only a waterbender, she had begun to suspect. So had others, although it hasn't been fully confirmed. She looked around, trying to find her group again, but alas, she could only see the garments of firebenders. "Speaking of which, I think they might have moved on.." She said. Damn. she thought to herself, biting her lip. • "I didn't mean to make you loose your group!" Kitura said looking around nervously. "C'mon maybe if we head to the center of town they'll be there? Or at least some point in time they'd have to pass through the square so you could meet up with them then?" Kitura asked. She looked around and her nervousness didn't help anything as she bounced on the balls of her feet.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;]Keliani looked around, continuing to bite on her bottom lip as she thought. Then she looked back at the girl, and seeing she was nervous gave her a reassuring, albeit awkward smile. "Don't worry, it's not your fault! I was being kinda an airhead anyway. But um, I think I need help me get to the square and such. Don't really know my way around, if you couldn't tell." She stated, giving a nervous chuckle. The girl seemed nice enough, friendly, too, so she thought it'd be best to get help from someone like that. Especially considering her lack of knowledge of the area. • "Right, right, come on! I'll show you!" Kitura said biting the inside of her cheek, she hadn't been off the island in years so she actually had never been in this town so finding the square herself was just going to be the luck of the draw. "This way!" She said heading down a side street.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt;line-height:1.4;] Keliani nodded, following the girl- Kitura- down the street she had taken. She found it kinda... different that she'd take a side street, and not a bigger main one, but hey, what did she know? She was just as lost as a kitten. As they walked, she decided to strike a conversation to appear friendly."So, do you live by the square?" She decided to ask. The question seemed open enough, so even if the girl wasn't up for conversation, she could end it quickly."[fancypost=border-width:0; font-size: 8pt; text-align: center; line-height: 95%; width:400px;] ✧ — idealism sits in prison — ✧ /[color=#897E98] TAGS

  • Kitura mentally froze. "I live close by to the town." She said avoiding the exact location of her home. "Are you from the Northern or Southern tribe?" She asked as she continued walking the end of the road in sight and it just led to another street.
