  • After the catastrophe that was her return back to the Rift, what with falling from the sky engulfed in flames and whatnot, Noelani felt that it was time to take some sort of trip. It was getting too stuffy in her forge, and she had nothing to do. Well, besides the half-melted necklace, but that could wait. She was about ready to go when she paused, taking her newly redone spear. It wasn't fancy or anything, just practical. Who knew what she would encounter out there?

Off she went. This time she picked the direction opposite of BlizzardClan, not against the clan itself, but the memories that had surfaced there. They were decidedly unpleasant. Her claws were wrapped around the length of the spear as she flew, saddlebags strapped over her lower back as to not interfere with the new burned-on marks on her spine. The rhythmic beat of her own wings was soothing as the water flashed below, turning to a landscape she didn't bother to study. The border lines were too far below to extinguish, and nobody would mind her, all the way up here, alone and not really wanting to attack... oh, but she did have a spear, didn't she? The avian frowned at it, but it was too lathe to strap it on now. She sighed, glancing back down and finding herself above a deep green forest. Well, why not? One could find the most interesting metals being retaken by nature; once she had found an entire chestplate, though she had to steal it from the skeletal remains of some poor beast.

Noelani's shadow grew as she came closer, slowing as she maneuvered carefully through the thick canopy. When her claws touched down on the forest floor she looked around, awed by the sounds of life all around her and the dark green expanse on all sides. In the Rift, the trees with glowing sap didn't have much living around there, but you could find some spots of normal flora where animals resided. Of course she was in no hurry to find any. Despite her size, about that of a draft horse, she was a mostly vegetarian, only straying from that path to eat a fish or two. To eat a bird seemed like cannibalism.

Her nostrils flared as she dipped her head towards the ground, scenting something distant - a border? - but it was too far away to tell. The creature began to amble along, her spear now strapped to her back, the faceted blue diamond head reflecting light everywhere and making it seem as if it were snowing light.
