[center][fancypost=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify][size=8]Ayeo, Vend here and recently @Copper!, @tea, and @mercurial and I have worked hard together to revamp a backboard. To our relief and surprise after getting the group, The Sanctum, up and running it has taken off! We're actively gaining members and are doing about 250+ posts currently despite only being up for 4 days, 2 if you count when we opened to roleplaying. We've got badges, a title system, a header, a board name change, and an $10 advertisement all underway currently as you're reading this and after some thought I wanted to see if anyone has an inactive/dying board that they'd like to merger with us? I've conjured up a ton of plots and think it'd be great for not only furthering the Sanctum but character development as well!
I've listed a good deal of the plots below but 90% of everything it totally up for discussion here or over pm/conversation or skype. My muse if off the walls right now so expect a pretty quick response! If you'd like to know more about the Sanctum hmu or check out our guide here!
PLOT IDEAS
[size=8]The Sanctum rose to power from the ashes of the Kismet Union swiftly and under the leadership of Duchess acquired a camp and order just as fast, but they've got another factor to attribute to their success. When they moved into the mansion and surrounding gardens that they now call their home they awoke something ancient and powerful, the goddess Herthe. It took very little for her to become the Sanctum's religion and patron god and though worshiping her is optional she's a big part of their culture. This is where your group comes in, through some means or another (distaste of organized religion, a territory dispute, etc.) your group and the Sanctum form a distinct tension between one another. This leads to hostilities rising and physical fights to break out. This does not please Herthe, and so the goddess encourages Duchess in her own faceless and indirect ways to make a move. This is where a takeover merger occurs, now this can go one of many ways. Herthe herself can cause plague, famine, and natural disasters to ravage your group's territory leaving them only to the mercy of the Sanctum who takes them in under the set rules that they join them in peace and the rivalry is left behind them or perhaps the Sanctum can even force a merger with their numbers feign being merciful by saying they can join together and leave the past behind them for a prosperous future.
When the merger does go through however, no matter the plot, it's super welcome for some aspect of your group's culture, etc. to become a part of Sanctum!
[size=8]This merger is much more simple that the hostile merger, essentially your group is wreaked by lack of members/etc. (they could encounter a plague/famine/natural disaster caused secretly by Herthe, the Sanctum's goddess that leads them to the Sanctum which could be hella plotty bc it's technically their fault but Duchess would never say so ayeo plots) and slowly dying out. Duchess takes notice of this and offers a mutual benefit merger where they can come live and become a part of the Sanctum and in turn they'll adopt some degree of your group's culture, etc. and everyone gets to prosper and succeed.
[size=8]A quiet merger where Duchess notices the failing state of your group and offers them sanctuary in the Sanctum or a natural disaster/famine/plague/etc. may or maybe not caused by Herthe drives them out leaving them to merge with the Sanctum to save the remaining members. When the merger does go through however, no matter the plot, it's super welcome for some aspect of your group's culture, etc. to become a part of Sanctum!
