My name is Dr. Ishiro Serizawa. I am head scientist of the MONARCH organization, specialized in the hunt for massive unidentified terrestrial organisms (MUTOs). Species that have lived among us in hiding for millions of years, waiting. Slumbering. Until our arrogance has awoken them, and they are now once more on the move. As members of MONARCH, your assignment is to track down these creatures, study their behavior, and, if need be, destroy them with any means possible.
Be warned, for you are not the only ones hunting. An ancient alpha predator has reawakened - Gojira. He is the last warrior, the force to restore balance. Should you encounter him, do not interfere.

With the arrival of the MUTOs and their subsequent destruction by Godzilla in 2014, the entire world now knows about the existence of Kaiju, the indisputable rulers of the Earth. MONARCH now has its hands full dealing with the new waves of MUTO activity as they awake from millions of years of hibernation underground, looking for new sources of radiation to feed on. Fortunately, their job is made slightly easier with the King of the Monsters on regular patrol duty, and ready to kick some serious Kaiju ass.
Not everyone is happy with Godzilla, however: the aftermath of Hawaii and San Francisco are just a few examples of the bad mood. There is considerable debate over how to deal with the recurring Kaiju problem, and there are those in MONARCH who feel that all MUTOs are a menace, and must be destroyed - including Godzilla himself.
It only takes a word for Operation: Destroy All Monsters to be put into effect, and the pressure is adding up. And with more and more MUTOs on the rise, it is only a matter of time before something far more sinister awakens...

This thread will be my most ambitious yet as the story takes the characters around the world and develop small but influential side plots along the way. I would like to get a few things out of the way before we begin:
1. Skull Island WILL be featured in this roleplay, which means Kong is a part of this, too (I am not referring to the Peter Jackson Kong, just so you are all aware).
2. For the purposes of this thread, Godzilla is not the last of his kind as we have probably thought. There will be three other Godzilla's: a teenager which I will be playing as, and Minya/Minilla/Baby Godzilla and a female Godzilla which are available to play (please make a reservation before roleplaying them, and I need to see their forms!)
3. Finally, the original Toho monsters will be making an entrance, of course, leading up inevitably to King Ghidorah, the sinister force I mentioned, and Mechagodzilla, MONARCH's 'final solution' to the MUTO problem.

Behavior: Manu is less of a territorial animal like Godzilla, and will try to avoid conflict with MUTOs whenever possible. However, being once a pupil of Godzilla, he knows the importance of balance and will fight to protect it.
Humans are something of a curiosity to Manu, and once interacted with them, leading to his appearance in Hindu mythology.
Sightings (history): Like Godzilla, Manu is a relic of the primordial ecosystem of the Permian era, when radiation levels in the atmosphere were much higher when they were today. His parents were killed by the parasitic MUTO species, and he was adopted and trained by Godzilla for a time until he grew large enough to fend for himself. When the radiation levels receded, he went south to the then lush continent of Antarctica, surviving by drawing energy from a geothermal hot spot underground.
He has been mentioned only once in human history in Hindu mythology, given the name Manu after the first human that survived the great flood. Since then, he's been trapped in a glacier in Antarctica, still in hibernation and feeding off the radiation from the planet's core.
Abilities: All the same as Godzilla's, but he's not quite as strong.
Current Location: Frozen in an ice sheet in the Antarctic Circle.

This Godzilla's claws are black color, and its feet are wider and more pillar-like resembling those of sauropods or elephants, with larger claws more than the other Godzilla designs do. Its skin is more reptile-like, with osteoderms similar to a crocodile and rougher than the other designs, and is a dark shade of grayish green. Behavior: "In Godzilla, Godzilla's behavior seems to be that of a territorial animal. Ishiro Serizawa theorized that this Godzilla is the driving force to restore balance to nature whenever that balance is disrupted, suggesting that he essentially considers the entire Earth to be his territory.
However, unlike previous incarnations, he doesn't blatantly attack or plow through ships at sea simply because they're there. In fact, with larger ships like aircraft carriers, he simply dives down under them. Even when he was attacked by the military, he didn't noticeably react or fight back and simply continued to hunt the MUTO, even when he was being followed in close proximity by four naval ships.
