    [fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Spring had always been Kenji's favorite season- aside from Summer of couse. It meant that warmer months were ahead and it represented new beginnings.

    The wolfdog had just arrived in camp when it began to rain, causing him to break into a run and take shelter in the closest empty hut. Once inside, he would shake himself off, letting his bag gently drop to the floor. He would then move back to the doorway, sitting down to watch the rain fall. He loved rain... just the smell of it put him at ease... but only for a minute. It didn't take long for his thoughts drifted back to the horrid memories of finding his master collapsed on the floor, the light in his eyes already fading...

    A pain in his chest caused him to squeeze his eyes shut, stretching out his neck and raising head to the sky so the rain would fall on him. This calmed him down again... but he wondered... would he ever be able to forget?

  • [center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=times new roman][align=justify]Unlike Kenji, Pierce didn't have a favorite season - he couldn't, really, since he had been born in mid-summer, and only experienced fall, winter, and part of spring since then. So, although he had lived through all seasons, he could barely remember summer. All he knew was that summer was warm, and he really liked when it was warm, so he was looking forward to that season. So far, though, he'd say spring was his favorite - there were lots of flowers, and it wasn't frigid anymore, but it wasn't hot either.

    Similarly to Kenji, however, the vice-leader had been raised in a human residence as well. There had been a mother and a father, and two children - a young girl and a little boy. He had thought he would live with them forever, thought they were his true family, but this had been proven wrong when they moved out of their home and left him, a defenseless five month old serval, in their empty house. He was lucky in this way, he supposed; he didn't miss his owners, as they hadn't ever truly cared for him.

    Pierce hummed to himself as he ambled through Blizzardcclan's camp, though flattened his ear against his head as it was pelted with a raindrop. Following that was multiple more raindrops, falling from the sky in a sudden downpour. Wrapping a spare scarf around his satchel - he didn't want the leather ruined - he hurried off in hopes of finding shelter, which he soon did, though the male inside was someone he had never seen before. "Hey there. Mind if I wait here with you for the rain to stop?" he asked with a smile, tail swishing happily until he realized Kenji didn't look very happy. "You okay, friend?"

    [fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Barely hearing the serval, he would jump at the other's sudden appearence. Turning to look nervously at the vice leader, he nodded. "O-Oh! Hi... err, no, I don't mind. G-Go ahead..." Kenji stammered. He paused when Pierce asked if he was ok, blinking his brown eyes. "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine... uh, thanks for asking..." The wolfdog decided to answer, turning away for a moment. No need to lay down his life story on someone he barely knew. Then, realizing he hadn't introduced himself, he would look back at the serval. "Um, I don't think we've met yet- I'm K-Kenji Koiso... who are you?"

  • [center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=times new roman][align=justify]The tom quirked a brow at his clanmate's shock, a small frown pressing against his maw. Had he done something wrong? Though, when the canine nodded to him, his smile returned, albeit fainter than before. "Thanks," he replied, placing himself a foot or so away from Kenji. He didn't know this boy well, in fact, he had never seen him before, but he was a bit concerned - he didn't like when the other Blizzardclanners looked upset.

    Pierce didn't push any further at Kenji's reply, seeing as he didn't even know the guy and he was probably just imagining it, and instead settled on flatting some of the now-ruffled - and slightly wet - fur on his body. He set to combing down a patch on his chest, which was sticking up at odd angles. Water was strange like that - while in some cases it could clean someone and make them look a lot nicer, in other cases it made people all messy. "Um, I don't think we've met yet- I'm K-Kenji Koiso... who are you?" Oh yeah, Pierce forgot he was supposed to introduce himself. The vice-leader sat up, ears perking toward the larger male as he spoke.

    "Kenji," he echoed, cocking his head. He had met someone with a similar name in the past - Genji, he was pretty sure it was. "Nice to meet you, Kenji! I'm Pierce, the vice-leader." Truthfully, he was a bit surprised the wolfdog hadn't seen him around camp. "You're new to the clan, I assume? How long have you been living here?" Or maybe he just kept to himself. A lot.

    [fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]/sorry for the short responses, my muse is dying ;w;

    Nodding in response to the other's word of gratitude, he briefly watched out of the corner of his eye as the other groomed himself, looking back at the rain after only a few seconds. Kenji didn't speak again until the serval introduced himself, turning his head to look at him once more. "It's nice to meet you too, Pierce." The wolfdog said, smiling nervously. Then, at Pierce's question, he would nod. "Yup! I just got here today." He answered, pausing for a moment. "Erm... what about you? I'm assuming you've been here a while- seeing as you're the vice leader and everything." Kenji asked, attempting a joke, but failing miserably.

    Pierce, despite being a serval who was meant to live in the heat and sun, absolutely adored when it rained - the temperature dropped and the fresh water made everything brighter, prettier. It made things smell better, too; like it freshened everything up. The speckled male could easily sense the nerves coming off of the larger Blizzardclanner, though said nothing, instead waiting for him to answer his question. When the canine spoke once more, his own smile broadened. "Oh, welcome to the clan, then!" he exclaimed with a friendly nod. He was a bit surprised to hear that Kenji was that new, but he supposed everyone had "just joined today" once too - as had he. As Kenji returned the inquiry, he spoke once more. "I've been here for, uh..." he trailed off. How old was he? He had been five months when he joined, so - "Almost seven months. Six months," he replied before nodding slowly. He was almost twelve months - one year - old now, so it'd be nearly seven months ago. He briefly wondered if he should mention where he was from, but it was a bit embarrassing; that he had been "owned" by humans. Instead, he asked, a bit randomly, "Do you like the rain?"
