  • Matt finished chewing the jerky, "yes I actually do have some 9mm, someone brought back a case not too long ago." He unbuttoned a double leather pouch and took out one of two mags. He thumbed the rounds out of it, and held them out to Blair "but I'm too lazy to get up right now, so here."

    He also thought he heard Hayla asking Blair about something garage related, but Matt decided to let Hayla come to him. He was enjoying the sun too much. With his hand still held out: "did Hayla mention something? If she did she'll have to come to me, unless you want to help her out."

  • Blair was a little surprised he was just giving her the rounds from his own mags - they were his, and he would still need to fix it later. They figured it wasn't that important to dwell on it too much, then went about reloading their own gun, "Thanks. Oh yeah, Hayla was asking about some wires since she's been messing with this old toy car she found. Anyways..." they just finished and reholstered the pistol, "I gotta radio a friend."

    They waved a hand in goodbye and walked past him to the radio on the desk in the old office. They held up the mic, switched the radio to the proper channel, and spoke into it, "Athena? Athena are you there? This is Blair. I found Hayla at the camp and we're both safe, don't worry. Over."

    [color=#FFFFFF]she jerked away from the wall, a grin coming to her lips as she heard Blair's voice. ahh, blair, im happy to hear you two are safe. how is the camp, over. she responded, voice a little muffled by the radio but otherwise clear. groaning lightly she leaned against the wall of the tower, holding her head. she was shaking slightly, her heart leaping. the time between intermission and their departure had felt too long. she waited patiently with her hand held, having brought the big radio set with her for better signal.

  • Jace nodded and trotted off, but stopped for a moment to go back. He put a hand on Carter's shoulder to get her attention again, "Hey, yeah since you don't have one right now, until I get back just hold onto mine. Don't wanna leave you defenseless." he handed her the hunting knife that he was in the process of sharpening before, then went off to her tent without waiting for a refusal. Carter's tent (just creatively guessing here, i can fix it if you don't like this description) was situated closer to the middle of camp and was one of the larger tents of the group - large enough to stand in as if it were maybe a tiny room. He unzipped the green door of the tent and went inside and tried to find her requested

    It didn't take long, the description was pretty accurate of the worn knife. It was nice in this moment, but when it was first made it was shinier, and the lines of damascus steel made a beautiful pattern in the blade. He picked it up and left the tent, heading back to the girl

    Wake Up

    STAY, YOU'RE NOT GONNA LEAVE ME

    carter paused for a moment and held onto the man's knife, looking around and biting her lip. she tossed her hair behind her shoulder and blinked slowly, trying to calm herself. //lowlowlowlow

  • Matt rolled the mag around in his hands before sliding it back into his holster. It had been awhile since he had used the glock 17, so he wasn't worried about giving some rounds away - he had more to refill it. He had a Mossberg 500 Tactical Tri-Rail
    which he used as a main weapon. It had a ghost ring sight, a flashlight which could be used in emergencies, a stock ammo holder and a full choke. It seemed most people preferred melee weapons and handguns. He liked the power of the 12 gauge shotgun. Seemed there was enough rounds for him, and he didn't have to go out much.

    Matt finished chewing the last of his jerky and returned to the garage. He pulled out a spool of wire, the necessary tools, and a roll of electric wire.

  • Blair sighed happily then pressed the button to talk again, "The camp is fine, albeit a little irritated with drama, but it's the same as ever. There isn't even that big of a problem with the mob, so maybe it's moving away from here, or it might come in the night. How are things over there? Over."

    Jace came back a minute or two later holding out the blade for Carter, "Hey, I found it. You didn't reun into anything out here while I was away, did you?" by the look of her, he'd say no, but he knew she could handle herself.

    [color=#FFFFFF]she barely hid the pleased purr in her voice as she murmured gently, no trouble here. we're safe and out of reach unless we have flying zombies. glad to hear you two are safe. given the chance please change, I can't lose you. Over. she rumbled, eyes at half mast as she rubbed an itch on her arm, a warm giddy feeling spreading through her body head to toe

  • Jace smiled slightly as he took the knife from her, "Ahh, it's no prob. I like knowing you're safe." as he looked up a zombie was coming out of the trees, and he could hear more of them coming. It might be thr horde, but it didn't seem like quite that many. Quickly he went over to the one zombie and jabbed it through the eye so it slumped to the floor. Then he went back to Carter and gently put his hand on the small of her back and led them toward the guarded entrance of the fence, "C'mon, let's get inside and wait this out. Maybe we could just stab at them through the chain-link."

    Blair smiled both inwardly and outwardly. Even though the radio muffled their voices, Blair could hear the general tone in Athena's voice, "I'm so happy to hear that . . . And Athena? I don't wanna lose you either. Over" a heavy blush grew in their cheeks and partially down their neck

    [color=#FFFFFF]her heart stuttered, giving her a bit of issue for breath. collecting herself she smiled, glad to hear that, babe. she spoke softly, we'll discuss some more things when you come back, and take a little privacy to do so. keep safe for the kids and me or we will have to kick some ass. over. she purred, free arm hugging herself as she smiled pleasantly, warm head to toe

Maybe we could just stab at them through the chain-link."

    carter grinned and nodded, "sounds good." she made her way toward camp, slipping through the entrance. she swayed her hips as she walked (more than they normally would) to hopefully get jace's attention. yes, it was a hoe move but, she liked the attention.

  • Blair's heart and stomach fluttered, their whole focus was just on Athena. Babe. It was such a corny little piet name but it meant the world to them. At the mention of privacy the illusion of seclusion was lost for a moment, and they shot a glance over to Matt, hoping just a little bit that he wasn't paying any attention while simultaneously not caring, "Don't worry about me, we'll be fine. The guards are good shots and the fences will hold. Stay safe up in your little nest. Over."

    ~~~~~~
    Chivalry wasn't dead when men let women walk in front of them, but it was a perfect excuse for them to stare at women's @sses. Jace was no exception. When Carter exaggerated her walk he grinned, and didn't really ficus on what he was doing. Only when he tripped and stumbled forward a step did he stop, and the guard at the fence shot him a knowing look.
  • Matt finally found the box of 9mm he was thinking of earlier. Usually it would be in the and ammo bank, but it must not have been put away. He started reloading a mag, missing what Blair was saying. He was used to private conversations going on at the radio, he had decided it wasn't his business. He also didn't really care.
    "Everything working fine over there, Blair?"
  • Wake Up
    STAY, YOU'RE NOT GONNA LEAVE ME
    carter smiled and shot him a look, licking her lips a bit before continuing to walk towards her tent. she bent over to unzip the opening of her tent, arching her back slightly before stepping into her tent and sitting down on her cot.
  • Blair all but had a miniature heart attack when Matt finally spoke up again, the mic fumbled in their hands and they needed to set it down again and catch a breath. With a frustrated sigh at their own stupidity, they poked their head back and looked back at Matt, "Yeah, everything's fine, no worries. I'm almost done back here anyway."
    ~~~~~~

    Jace straightened and his smile turned sideways into a smirk, but faltered a bit when Carter disappeared into her tent. Jace might have been familiar with flirting but he was far from a womanizer, Should I just ... follow her in there, or some sh*t? His dumb @ss really didn't know. Most people didn't like being around him, so he wasn't sure how to react to any woman that did want to be around him

    OOC: i'm still trying to get a feeling for Jace. I have a better feeling and ability for playing female and nonbinary characters. the male mind can be an enigma to me

  • Ahh //

    Athena grinned, we're flying high. Over. she purred, voice thick and soft at the same time, grinning like a madman, knowing what the little name did to blair without needing to be there to witness it.

  • (( I'd have to read it myself to give a recap. I have been skimming so I forgot what is going on if it doesn't involve my character. I apologize.

    Matt chuckled, "everything fine after that little fumble?" He joked, trying to brighten his somewhat boring life. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything, but how're the people who went outside?," he said as he slid the mag back into its pouch. He walked over to his shotgun and set it on his worktable.
