  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Sweetophelia was standing outside her hut, a thoughtful expression etched across her colour point face. It had rained earlier that morning, but the light showering had since stopped. Now the BlizzardClan leader was considering her options. She could go hunting perhaps, call for a border patrol, or simply head out on her own and see what she could find.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;] "You planning on going somewhere?" A white turish angora asked the leader, approaching her from the side. Yuki-Onna stared out casually out to where BlizzardClan terrotories were before staring back at Sweetophelia.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"Hmm?" Hearing a voice, Sweetophelia turned around, looking surprised to see Yuki-Onna, but that surprise quickly evaporated to be replaced with a slight smile. "Not really," the Targaryen admitted, her dark ears flicking. "Just contemplating. Why? You have any plans?"

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;] "Hmm, I was just thinking about how big BlizzardClan's territory was," the Turkish angora replied honestly. "Maybe it's good to check them out since this will be my home now, but I might get lost finding my way back." She flicked her tail with a small smile on her maw, her icy-blue eyes staring into the distance before looking at Sweetophelia. "I might need a travel partner to show me around."

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Sweetophelia listened to Yuki-Onna, her dark ears pricking with interest as the Turkish angora spoke. In essence, a tour? "Yeah," the BlizzardClan leader agreed, standing up. "I'll be more than happy to take you around the territory." In fact, she appreciated Yuki-Onna's genuine interest in the BlizzardClan territory. "Anywhere you wanna see first?"

  • "We can start on one of the closest islands or we can go where you like first," Yuki-Onna purred, standing up to do a quick stretch of her legs to prepare herself for the journey. "Maybe we can learn a few things from each other while we're at it."

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"That sounds fine to me," Sweetophelia agreed, nodding softly. "Why don't we go and see the cloud forest island then? It's definitely my favourite and I think you'll come to like it too once you see it." It certainly stood out against BlizzardClan's usual snowy climate. "And yeah, that's the goal, right?" she smiled at the Turkish angora feline. "This way," the BlizzardClan leader instructed her, walking ahead with Yuki-Onna presumedly close behind. It was not a terribly far walk.

  • Smirking to herself she immediately followed her without hesitation. "I think that's the area I wondered into by accident," Yuki-Onna said with amusement. "Which makes me wonder, how did you appear to show up so quickly? What kind of powers do you have?" Even she was mildly curious about what Sweets was capable of.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"Hmm?" Sweetophelia glanced over to the other BlizzardClanner as Yuki-Onna spoke up with a question, her own pace never faltering. "Teleportation - it's a power some animals are born with or develop later in life. I've had it for so long that I can't even remember when I first used it. Of course there's an alternative too - super speed - which I don't have but it's pretty effective in terms of transportation." It was another useful power, but it was not one she had observed in BlizzardClan.

  • Super speed was cool, but teleportation sounded even better. Yuki-Onna gave a nod to herself, somehow feeling like she could trust the seal-point ragdoll with what she might say. "Actually, you're the first feline ever to know what I'm about to tell you, but you might either be surprised or not," she stated, bringing herself up in pace next to the leader, "I have another form. I don't show it in public because the last time I used it was when humans began to hunt me down and forced me to leave my homeland." She didn't have a choice but to leave at that time. The animals that were living in the mountains with her were getting killed needlessly because the humans were so terrified of her appearance that they began a man-hunt for her. So for the animals' sake, she left on her own.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"Humans are often afraid of what they don't comprehend or feel is different, be it inferior or threatening," Sweetophelia remarked simply. She was indifferent to the human species. It was not unusual for animals to possess multiple forms but Sweetophelia was currently confined to one form and could not shapeshift if she tried. She had been born as a manticore, but she had lived as a kitsune for the most of her first life and then briefly as a dragon when she was with Tsubodai. After all, a dragon was the traditional Targaryen form. "What's your second form?"

  • [center][fancypost= borderwidth=0;width:550px;text-align:justify;font-size:11pt;line-height:120%] "I'll show you." Moving away a few feet from the ragdoll feline, a cold mist swirls around the white angora shroud her appearance. Her shadowy image shifted and began to increase in size, just about getting to the right height were the undergrowth of the tree's leaves. With a flick of her long black-striped tail, the mist faded away to reveal a large white tiger with two long front fangs. Obsidian stripes were from her face, moving along the spine all the way to the tip of her tail. Her blue eyes stared down at the small leader. Bowing her head, the large cat crouched low to the ground with her small ears flatten to her head respectively.

Her appearance may not be as scary as a dragon, or as swift-footed as a kitsune, but she was stronger, faster, and had better stamina in this form. Her strength alone was already scary enough as it is, but she will not use it unless she has too.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Her pale lilac eyes narrowed, growing more serious as Yuki-Onna spoke, taking a few steps back before shifting forms in a cloud of mist. Sweetophelia shook her head as the wildcat lowered herself, "There's no need to bow." But she did appreciate the gesture - there was nothing the BlizzardClan leader hated more than shows of intimidation, either by show of rank or size - although she usually saw such attempts from enemy groups or neutrals. It never garnered her respect, and for good reason too.

"So you have a sabre-toothed tiger form," she observed. Sweetophelia had seen one or two before, but they weren't common. "Do you use this form in combat?" Most animals tended to navigate the world in their original, birth form but switched to a more formidable body in fights.

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; text-align:justify; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; font-size:8; line-height:110%;][center][fancypost=width: 400px;text-align:justify;]The white saber tooth tiger sat up and nods to Sweetophelia's question. "I only use this form if I don't have any other choice. I don't use my form for selfish reasons and use it to protect others," Yuki-Onna tells her. There may be times when she will feel uncertain of what to do in this form, but she believes she can rely on others for support when the time comes. "That's why for you, not as my leader, but as my friend that I will use this form when you ask me to. Showing this secondary form to you means a lot to me." She didn't know how else to express herself to Sweets, but this was all she could do.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Selfish reasons? Sweetophelia blinked, wondering what would have fitted Yuki-Oona's standards of a "selfish" reason. But she didn't ask, instead simply watching the sabre toothed tiger. It was a moment before the Targaryen spoke, her voice even. "It's admirable that you should seek to protect your clanmates - the safety and greater good of the clan should always be paramount," the BlizzardClan leader remarked. "I appreciate your loyalty." However it was only likely that Yuki-Oona would have to resort to violence in defence, seeing as BlizzardClan was more isolationist than a conqueror, and even then with their immense size, it was rare that an enemy would challenge them.

  • [center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=Lucida Calligraphy][align=justify]Nodding from her words, the white saber tooth tiger slowly began to shrink in size, reverting back to her small feline form. She took a moment and shook her fluffy white coat, staring at Sweets with a smile. "I never once thought myself as a being that was born in order to protect myself," she meowed softly, "I think my own purpose in this life was to protect others. Maybe that's why I was given the powers I was born with. So in my opinions of what a selfish person is is the type that would save themselves first or think of themselves as a higher being than those weaker than them." She wanted to explain her standards of being a selfish person. But it's normal to think of yourself first before anything, however that wasn't the case for her. She felt even with the power she has, she never once thought of herself being stronger or almighty. Deep down, she was just a normal being with a lonely heart.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]But Yuki-Onna's beliefs went against the natural instincts of an animal, didn't it? Survival of the fittest - to fight and compete, to live long enough to reproduce and continue one's lineage. But most animals sought to suppress their natural instincts, to portray themselves a higher being capable of great self-sacrifice. Of course, that was true in the cases of some individuals, but one could never truly know whether or not that exception actually pplied to oneself until they were actually placed in such a situation. For now, Sweetophelia knew that her loyalty was to BlizzardClan first and foremost, and she was content with leading her clan. "I see," the BlizzardClan leader remarked simply. "Perhaps you should discuss the purpose of life with Luna sometimes," she suggested more lightheartedly. "I know that she particularly enjoys philosophy."

  • [center][fancypost= bgcolor= opacity: 0.5; borderwidth=0px; width: 450px;][font=Lucida Calligraphy][align=justify]Yuki-Onna smiles in amusement, nodding to Sweet's words. "I'll try speaking with her on that next time," she purrs to her. "Right now, I'm just going to hang around with you and check on the other islands. Maybe we might be able to get to the tundra one sooner or later."

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"We can drop by tundra island," Sweetophelia agreed, nodding softly. Stepping off the bridge, she nodded towards the misty jungle that stood before them. "But this is cloud forest island - the climate already feels a lot different, huh?" Most of BlizzardClan vast territory was frigid or temperate, but this particular floating island remained tropical all year 'round, no matter the seasons shifting around it.
