Thoughts on this?

  • Alright so I had this idea to split either the deputy or leader position into two (haven't decided which yet so if you have any thoughts about that let me know) to basically have specializations for defense/war and diplomacy. This is for two reasons:
    1.) OOCly it's really difficult for me to run both sides all the time, especially when Henry absolutely detests anything to do with conflict. I think having someone to balance him would take a bit of weight off of my shoulders in terms of trying to push his development a particular way when I don't really want to.
    2.) ICly, I want this whole experience to sort of make Henry realize that WC does need to be better prepared for conflict and that he probably isn't the best person in that department. If you guys don't like the idea of a position split, though, I plan on having him seek a mentor and learn more about strategy and whatnot.

  • I mean, this decision really has nothing to do with me or any of my characters so I'm not really sure my opinion matters all that much in this situation. You don't mecessarily need to split the job of a leader/deputy, But I've seen it in Windclan where there is two seperate characters holding leadership or deputy position. It seemed to work out alright at the time, they didn't split duties, but they all discussed matters together as a team.


    Outside of this idea entirely, why not also have an advisor that's in charge of war matters/facing conflict issues? The advisor position (or at least from what I've seen) has been very quiet. So much so that I dont even know who in the clan is an advisor or what they were assigned to do. Even before Negan took over, activity has just sort of died out in Windclan. Why not focus on having the advisors work on the duties they've been given?

  • I've been struggling a bit with the advisor position recently because Vic is advisor of operations (as in rescue raids and whatnot) but both Oliver and Blueridge stepped down (with Oliver I'm not entirely sure if e stepped down or not, as I know it was mentioned but I honestly forgot about it until I was looking at the guide today) so I really only have one. I wasn't planning on doing this until after that position is a little more well rounded but I wanted a plan in place if that doesn't go as I hope it will so I wanted to get a few opinions on this.

  • i'd contact oliver's RPer then and start thinking of picking new advisors in the meantime. you don't have to choose them right away obviously, but it can be something you mull over as times passes. advisors are very important to the clan. itd be a very good idea to find someone in charge of the clan politics and another person in charge of conflict/war matters. the deputy and leader are busy enough, so that's why its important to have advisors that are in charge of these important things.

    Well, real Vic should be around in a week or two so she can actually start helping things xD


    I don't know but it sounds like this is more of a problem ICly than OOCly since the main "issue" seems to be Henry's ideals. Basically, it's up to you.
