  • “Honestly? The fact that you got drunk and made out with him- and only made out with him- is quite disappointing. I mean, it’s Bennett Alexander. I mean, I guess I should be impressed that, even while drunk, you were able to stop him from f*cking you? I’ve heard that’s all he ever does, is to try and sleep with girls.” he said with a little snort.

He wasn’t a moron, he knew that Delaney was pretty, and he was pretty glad that she hadn’t let herself just be used by him. But, at the same time, he was surprised- he’d seen Delaney drunk, and he had no idea that she would be even a fraction coherent enough to do anything close to denying him. “But it’s kind of relieving. I’m glad I don’t have to go all big-brother on his *ss."

  • "Of course it was. Look at him." Leander grumbled, rolling his eyes for a moment before looking at her and giving a little huff. He just stood there for a second, unsure of what else to say, before biting his lip and nodding. He was terrible with this sort of stuff. When he said he was like her big brother, he meant it. Sort of. IT was more like a very close older cousin kind of thing. There were a few dirty details that he liked to know. but the rest she could very well keep to herself.

After a second, he snorted and shook his head. "You know who told me about all this, right? I mean, besides my super awesome romance-dar." he said, frowning when he realized that it didn't have the same ring as gaydar, but he had to go with it. "Ave and Winnie. And you know they're not going to let go of this as easily as I do..." he warned playfully. "Especially if they're egging each other on. Like usual."

  • "Well, I mean, I didn't really need to be told. But, yeah. They know. Or they suspect. But it's that weird thing they do where they suspect so hard that they basically know. They followed you this morning or something? I don't know, I try not to listen too much to anything they say when they're together because it makes me want to slap the both of them. No matter what they're talking about, it's always filled with wishful glances and sighs and... Whatever." he said, only thinking at the end that maybe he shouldn't be saying all that to someone clearly as dense as Delaney.

  • Delaney looked up at him, then pouted. "D*mn. Why the f*ck would they follow me? That's such a childish thing to do..." She grumbled, blushing deeply. "We didn't even do anything this morning. I needed his help..." she grumbled. "Nothin js going on, though..."

  • "Mm... I mean, I'm not the one you need to convince, right?" he asked after a second, looking at her with a teasing smirk. It wasn't that he didn't like her constant denial because, honestly, it was kind of funny, and when she and Bennett started dating for real, or hooking up on the regular, or wherever they were taking this relationship, he was just going to laugh.

After a second, he stood up straighter, his ears perked by the sound of a little laugh down the hallway. "Uh-oh..." he said with a massive, teasing grin across his face before taking a step away from her. "Speaking of Winnie and Avan... I think you're about to be interrogated." he finished teasingly before jogging off, immediately duckng around a corner, not about to act as the middle man between the two groups.

    --

Winnie bit her lip, trying her hardest to keep her laughter on the inside but, that last little impression of his was too good. She couldn't help herself- she giggled. It was only for a second, and it wasn't that loud, but she knew in that moment that her angry ruse from earlier was broken. She gave a huff and turned around, looking at him for a long second before shaking her head. "I'm still not happy with you." she reported before giving a huff. "I'm only talking to you right now because I want to find Delaney." she added.

And, to her luck, the girl she was looking for appeared a second later. Well, she obviously didn't just appear, but she rounded the corner fast enough that, to the fast-moving Winnie, it sort of looked like it. "Oh. There she is." she whispered conspiratorially before jogging over to the girl, smirk across her face, kind of glad to be away from Avan. He kept making her feel guilty, and she had already forgiven him, of course, but she couldn't really stop herself from blushing any time they made eye contact. Because now he thought she'd slept around with a hundred million men, and she shouldn't care, but she kind of did.

"Well, hey there, Delaney." she said with a smirk after a second, though she didn't know where else to go wit that, so she just glared at Avan over her shoulder, praying he'd come to her rescue with some snarky one-liner.

  • Avan frowned slightly, walking after her. I'm so dumb... He thought. When she shot him a glare, he winxed and ran over. "Hey, how was that early morning quickie?" he asked with a smirk. "You and Bennett must really have some
great s*x. You two were pretty fast in there."

    --

Delaney turned and groaned when she saw Winnie headed her way. She growled softly, rubbing her temples to prepare for the millions of questions that were to come. She rolled her eyes at her, crossing her arms and offering a slight smile her way. She lifted an eyebrkw when she spoke, expecting some other type if remark.

When Avan ran over and spoke, however, Delaney blushed and uncrossed her arms sk they hung by her sides. "You two are unbelievable. It's nothing. Nothing at all. I needed his help this morning, and he helped me. What else is there?"

  • When Avan managed to pull through and actually deliver something pretty smooth, Winnie forgot about her anger, at least for a few seconds, and shot him a pleased smile, before turning back to Delaney and giving a little huff. She crossed her arms over her chest, Avan's sweatshirt still wrapped around her despite their little spat earlier, and listened, rollin her eyes at the end. "Delaney. You can't really say there's nothing going on between the two of you!" she protested though, when she saw the look across the other girl's face, she gave a groan.

"I mean, really. You've been hanging out with him like crazy for the past few weeks. Not that that's bad, really, we're glad to see you're making more friends, but considering that you swore that you hated him with your entire being, it's kind of suspicious. And now you're all giggly all the time, and you're always smiling, and you just look better, and I think it's because of him." she reported. After a second, she bit her lip and smirked. "Besides. We heard you talking in his room today. That was something."

  • Delaney blushed with each accusation, crossing her arms tighter over her chest with each one. She rolled her eyes, glaring at them. "Nothing. And don't think I'm not angry about you guys following us. What are you, five?" she asked, though she couldn't help the amused smile that flickered over her lips. "I can't tell you what it was, but it wasn't anything s*xual..." she grumbled.

  • "Why can't you tell us if it's not sexual?" She shot back, a smirk across her face. "Come on, D. Tell us what happened. Tell us. Tell us. Tell us. Tell us!" She protested before pausing, looking st Avan for a second, and then turning back to Delaney and pouting. "Or, at least tell me. I can understand if you don't want to Avan." She added a moment later, though this time she was totally teasing- she'd forgiven him for this morning, of course.

Bennett heard the voices coming from down the hallway and he frowned, looking at the wall he was working on for just a second before putting down his tools and wiping his dirty hands on his shirt, jogging out of the room a second later. He followed the sound of Delaney's voice, grinning when he saw her friends. He walked over to her, running his hand gently over her lower back before leaving his arm around her and smirking over at her friends.

"What's going on here?" He asked with a grin, pleased that they'd given him the chance to tease her again. It was retribution for covering up all those beautiful h*ckies. And I worked hard on those, thank you very much...

  • Avan pouted. "Hey, I deserve to know. Tell both of us," he grumbled out, shooting Winnie a playful glare. "Please? we eon't tell anyone..." he murmured, smirking the tiniest bit when he saw Bennett coming over. "Sh, here comes your boy toy."

Delaney rolled her eyes slightly. "I'm not telling you guys anything," she grumbled out. When she heard Avan's words, she froze and bit at her lip. When she felt Bennett wrap his arm arohnd her, she rolled her eyes and just crossed her arms. She glanced over at him and shrugged. "Just taking a break. You want some water or something?" she asked.

  • Bennett just gave a knowing snort when he saw Delaney cross her arms. He knew that she wanted him. He knew that she was just putting on a show for her friends, even though they had kind of figured it out already. He saw that little shine in her eyes that she always got when he came close, he felt the way she leaned ever so slightly back into his arms when he wrapped his around her. She still felt it, that spark from the other night, and he'd be d*mned if he said he didn't, too. And so, when he looked over at his friends, he had a smug smirk across his face. Because he was going to get the girl, no matter how long it took.

"Mm, water would be good, yeah. I'm sweating a whole lot in there." he murmured down to her, shooting her a teasing wink, though he didn't move his hand and, when he saw her questioning look, he shrugged. "But you can wait, right?" he added before looking at Avan and Winnie and raising an eyebrow at them, then back at Delaney, smirk only growing. "So. I'm your boy toy now?" he asked with a teasing hum, having been quite close enough to have heard Avan's comment. "I feel mildly objectified."

  • Delaney shifted togo get it, but when she felt his hand gently holding her in place, she stopped. She lifted an eyebrow at him, about to ask what he was doing, but then he spoke again. She blushed deeply and lifted an eyebrow. "Where did you hear that?" she asked.

    --

Avan erupted into a fit if laughter at his words. He didn't think his comment had been heard. "I think that's rhe best name. It's. othi f right now, you know, but it will be something. Doesn't that make sense?"

  • "Nothing, but it'll become something, hm?" Bennett purred playfully, looking down at Delaney and then smirking, waggling his eyebrows teasingly for just a second before giving her a little squeeze and, with that same smirk, adding, "I didn't know you thought so highly of me." With that, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to her temple, holding the kiss for just a second before pulling away and grinning, allowing the motion to look intimate- they were in front of her friends, after all, and it was fun to mess with her. "Good to know that I stand a chance." he continued teasingly.

    --

When Winnie realized that Bennett had heard the end of their conversation, she blushed bright red and hid behind the sleeves of her sweatshirt, embarrassed and delighted at the same time. His cavalier response made her laugh, and she peeked out just in time to see the kiss to Delaney's temple, and then she just gave a playful gasp. Oh my god he kissed her. I mean, it was just a temple kiss, but that was more than friendly... she thought, briefly wondering what it'd feel like to have Avan's lips on her like that, though she dismissed the thought a moment later.

"Delaney, I think you were being a little mean when you said that nothing was going on, earlier." she announced with a little pout a second later. "You barely even let me hug you. And he gets to kiss you? That's not fair." she whined playfully, more just trying to get her to blush than anything. Although more hugs would be nice. Delaney hated hugging, so they felt like such a prize.

  • Delaney blushed deeply, about to deny his words that he had a chance. But then, his lips were on her temple. She blushed even more, she froze, shoving him away a moment later. When Winnie mentioned the touch, she griwled and rolled her eyes. "I didn't ask for that. He just did it!"

    --

Avan laughed softly, amused by the two. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. No need to be embarrassed. We all know you two are a thing. No need to deny it, Delaney."

  • Bennett laughed slightly at her reaction, pleased by the bright red glow on her face. He let her shove him away, though, not wanting to push her too far and too quickly or, even worse, do something that she actually didn’t want. Because she was definitely digging that kiss… he thought smugly, though he turned back to her friends a second alter and shrugged.

“No, no… If the lady doesn’t want me, I’m not going to push. And she clearly does’t want me.” he announced with a chivalrous tone, though he sounded entirely serious. So, he just looked at her and nodded, muttering a quick, “I apologize for the kiss, should it have been unwanted,” and then grinned at her friends, shooting them a quick win before starting off towards the kitchen, actually pretty thirsty now and determined to get that water bottle from earlier. And now we’ll see just how hooked she is on me… he thought, a little irritated to find that he was hoping she was quite hooked, though he was intrigued all the same. There always was something different about her…

When Bennett walked off, Winnie’s eyes widened slightly, and her heart missed a beat when she noticed his wink. Sure, she was pretty sure that he was chasing Delaney, and Delaney was chasing him right back, and whatever was going on between her and Avan, if there was anything at all, was confusing her to no end, but still. He was an attractive guy, and his voice was like honey. She couldn’t help but get a little woozy when he paid her a bit too much attention.

By the time she was able to pul herself back to earth, though, he was gone, and she just stared at his back for a long moment before turning back to Delaney with a little smirk. “I don’t know what game you’re playing, Delaney, but if you’re seriously not getting with that boy yet, you definitely need to. He is fine as all h*ll.” she announced before giving a huff and turning back to Avan, deciding that their interrogation was over- it was noticably less fun without Bennett there to stir the pot. “Lets go, you."

  • Delaney looked up at Bennett, cheeks still red, eyebrow lifted at his words. She rolled her eyes and let out the softest laugh as he turned snd headed off. She lookedback at Avan and Winnie, biting her lip when Winnie spoke. she rubbed the back of her neck, stopping wuickly when she remembered the h*ckies, then shot her a glare. "Will you guys just give up?" she asked, though her tone was a bit playful.

    --

was there anything else yo wanted to do?

  • “Mm… No. Because you’re blushing, which means that you like him…” Winnie cooed playfully, giving one of Delaney’s cheeks a little tug before smirking and winking at her. “Which is honestly relieving. I was nervous that you were about to swear off men altogether. And that would be a problem, because then we wouldn’t have anything to gossip about.” she announced before turning back to Avan and raising an eyebrow.

“Well? Are you coming, or not?” she asked after a moment, giving his hand a little tug in an attempt to take him with her down the hallway, wanting him to leave Delaney alone, at least for a bit. it was good for the other girl to stew in her own speculation for a little bit, it always made things better. And Avan was only going to ask another stupid question, anyways. However, when she realized what she was doing, she quickly dropped his hand and blushed.

“Whatever. Come on…” she grumbled under her breath a moment later before crossing her arms over her chest and taking off down the hallway, embarrassed that the action was instinctual. However, the massive blush across her face was caused more by the fact that she had felt something when their hands had touched, ad she LIKED it, and she realized that that stupid crush she’d had for years in high school was starting to come back, and that it was about to ruin her life all over again.

ooc: not really! what do you think?
