    WHERE'S MY MIND — alice — windclan — she/her — tags

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Weekly tasks... shouldn't be too difficult to host. She had signed up for it, and there was no backing out at this point. No complaining, either. It was simply giving out tasks to her clanmates. No unnecessary gossip or idle chatter. She was capable of this. Besides, her head was filled with ideas, courtesy of her books. With luck, there would be plenty of fun events being held around the clan. "Okay," Alice assured herself, a sigh escaping her lips. "Anybody want a weekly task?"

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%][color=beige]Last week Kate had been given a weekly task that involved something she already frequently did on her own, so she did not see much need to do it at the time. So she hoped this time she'd be given something a little different. She liked taking challenges and learning how to do new things, after all. Offering Alice a warm smile in greeting, she padded over and said "I'd like to take one, please."

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%] Evelyn would make her way over, a tight smile on her face. Perhaps she could do something of use. "I'd like one, if you wouldn't mind."

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Alright. So Kate liked gardening - though if the cub was correct, the femme had been given a garden-related task previously. She didn't want to repeat that. How about something... different? "Okay, Kate, could you do some baking? Either make a sweet treat or host a baking session." Alice nodded to her friend with a smile. Now, Evelyn. She didn't know much about what she liked to do. Unfortunately, the two had never really interacted. "How about you tell some stories?" the lioness suggested. There were plenty of children running around, especially with Attie's recent litter. The clan would surely be relieved if somebody could quieten them down for a while. "You don't have to use books, if you don't want to. Make it up."

  • Padding over quietly, the young two month old dalmador would make his way onto the scene. For once he was alone, a weird sight considering he never went anywhere without a close family member beside him. But he knew sooner or later he would need to break out of his comfort zone. He wasn't too sure about what he was doing though. And so far, he definitely wasn't comfortable with the actions he was taking. But this couldn't end badly, right? All he was doing was coming to get a task in which he would hopefully help out his clan for, right? "E-err.. C-could I have a t-task?" Alter would ask awkwardly, his stutter making it clear he was quite nervous about this. Oh hopefully this wouldn't go bad. Hopefully his request wouldn't get rejected. Oh dear he was even beginning to feel a bit lightheaded. Oh he just hoped this would end soon.

--Almost as if he could sense his brother's anxiety from afar, Jules trotted up to the scene-- and perhaps, for Alter, to the rescue. He halted directly beside his brother's right flank, giving him a warm glance and upward tip of his lips in greeting before turning his attention towards Alice. "I'd like one," he said, his voice gentle and melodious, despite the pitchy tone it included because of his young age.

Clara was already there when Alice called, but spent a little more time than usual paying attention to her words. So much, in fact, that she couldn't recall when she had finished speaking and other WindClanners were arriving. She twitched her ears, hearing the shaking voice of Alter, and twisted her head around to blink at him.

Ah. He was nervous. It was apparent when Jules came up to him, a reassuring air around him. There was always a reassuring air around this brother of hers, and she envied and basked in it. Clara trotted over to former brother as well, giving him a friendly bump of her side. He probably didn't want to acknowledge it, so Clara wouldn't either. She tipped her head, giving him a sunny smile. She could understand why he was nervous-- these lions were intimidating! "Me too!" she yelped, voice not as mellifluous as Jules'. "What do you think we'll get?" she asked both of her brothers, pressing her weight on her forelegs.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Oh, the Hacksaw children. Alice gazed at the three fondly. They seemed very sweet, and looked out for each other like a tightly-knit family should. Alter's anxiety was obvious, and the lioness could emphasise with the younger child. It was a tricky thing to cope with. She was lucky that with younger kids and good friends, she didn't get so nervous. Judgemental peers and adults caused her anxiety. Seeing Jules comfort him brought a smile to her face. "How about the two of you work together and build an obstacle course? Somewhere safe, and you can hold a race for everyone to take part in." Perhaps giving them a task together would help settle Alter's nerves. And then, for Clara... this pup had the most energy of the three. The optimistic one - and she still joined her siblings, showing kindness at her young age. Attie and Henry should be very proud. "Clara, can you host a flower crown - or chain - making session? I'm sure there's loads of pretty flowers to use in the forest."

Flowers sounded very nice! Though Alice was even nicer. Clara stared, wide eyed and unashamed, at the (slightly) older lioness for a little bit too long. She blinked, then glanced away, then back again. "Of course!" she emphatically exclaimed, proudly leaping to her toes. Casting one last glance at the little lion, she ran off in the wrong direction.

[align=justify]The girl had recently been looking for a chance to increase her activity. That, and the fact that the black bear had promised to help out with weekly tasks in the future. The girl trotted over with a thoughtful look on her features.
"Weekly task, please." The girl mumbled.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]"Can you hold a game of some sort, Luke? Something that can include everybody." Alice nodded to her older brother - it felt a little strange telling him what to do.

  • Since Bain was always moving around, he found the idea of weekly tasks to be quite refreshing. It meant that the canine could stay active while still helping the clan. He padded up to where the other's were, flashing them a smile before sitting down with a thump. "I'll do something!" He stated happily, tail quickly wagging as he waited for the response.

  • Waltzing in behind Sanepaw, the gigantic hoofed beast was next to enter the scene. His green eyes fixed ahead, his ears perked forward and his stance tall and proud, the long-limbed cervid stood before speaking towards Alice.
"I'd like a task, dear." The man would say with a gentle smile as he spoke to the little lioness youth.

    CAUGHT IN A DAYDREAM — alice — windclan — she/her — tags

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Alright... let's see - Alice wracked her brain for some more ideas. Perhaps some ally-related tasks? It would be great to see more interaction with their allies. "Would you be up for pulling a prank on an ally?" she asked the collie, a small, mischievous smile on her face. An odd sight from the timid girl - but sometimes it was fun to act her age. "A friendly prank. If you want, bring a gift or something to make it up to them." Alice turnes to Atticus next. He, like Kate, was a medic - but she was trying to avoid giving them medic-related tasks. They spent plenty of time with medicine as it was. What else did Attie like? His kids? Kids. Okay. "Attie, do you think you could try and organise a playdate with one or more of our allies? It can just be a mini event of sorts. For the children, mostly." A bit more challenging, but she assumed the now-moose was capable of it. If not, she was willing to switch.

  • [center]

[align=justify]Lusa nodded at Alice. A training session? Perhaps. The Guardian never lead one before; she wondered how she'd cope. While she did perfectly fine fighting in battle, Lusa wasn't exactly sure how she'd go about teaching it. Perhaps she'd start with defense first? That seemed much easier than teaching fighting moves and quizzing others on techniques she barely knew herself, techniques that only really came to her in the heat of battle and required little thought to her.
"Will do." She said before finally turning away.

  • Ooh, pranks? That was right up his alleyway. The main question was about the prank itself, since choosing the location wouldn't take long. Perhaps a gift basket with a twist of some sort. It would be a 50/50 chance game to decide whether the members picked a prank basket or not. Making and preparing the baskets shouldn't take too long. "Aye-aye captain!" He exclaimed, and gave Alice a mock salute before running off.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]The lioness turned to the next arrival, offering a warm smile to the hare, who she had only recently met. She hoped Fiver was settling well - he may not have necessarily been joining, but he was beginning to get out a bit more; getting to know people. That took, in her opinion, a bit of courage. Alice hummed lightly, pondering over the possibilities. "Fiver, could you host a little arts-and-crafts event? It doesn't have to be anything big, just a fun activity for the clan." She always found it easier to bond over a game, or a project.
