  • In the year 2055, an desperate coalition was formed between the world's greatest powers in the wake of a shattering World War III, exhausting the planet's natural resources and placing humanity on the brink of certain collapse. Within this uneasy alliance, the Board of Interplanetary Colonial Establishment was born, intended to ensure a foothold for humanity outside its home world. Their first target, appropriately, was Earth's sister planet, Mars, which had not seen life upon its surface for millennia.

The first fleet arrived on Mars in the year 2060, beginning what would be titled the Genesis Project - the complete reconstruction of Mars to support a biosphere similar to Earth's before its crippling wars. It took approximately one hundred and fifty years for the atmospheric conditions of the planet to be considered safe for the dismantling of the life-zone shields erected around the colonies, and another fifty years for the project to reach intended culmination, in the year 2267. By this time, the settlements had grown and prospered, becoming their autonomous societies with little reliance on Earth, with whom it continued to trade resources and innovation.

Humanity might have expanded beyond Mars, had not matters at home done otherwise. The BICE organization that had held together the world powers had begun to fall apart in recent years, and it wasn't long until the Earth War, or the Last Terran War, erupted in 2310. Two years into this conflict, contact between Terra and its Mars settlements abruptly ceased, plunging the colonies into a state of confusion and panic. This would last until 2317, when the Genesis Federation of Mars finally restores order, followed by the rise of the Yan Nation.

For a while, there was peace. But then came the Red Fist - a brutal military organization bent on complete dominion over Mars. The GFM and the Yan tried to negotiate, but greed is a disease that knows no bounds. The Martian War began in the year 2343, the GFM and the Yan uniting a year later to combat this threat, and since then, battles have raged between the factions for nearly a century.

And now, a few individuals will soon find the fate of an entire world resting upon their shoulders...

  • Sarafeena growled as hot dust hit her skin, burning her once more. Her leg went backwards and extended kicking her small flying vehicle. "Work piece of junk!" She hissed. The young female knew she was not in a nice place. Her craft had taken a dump about two miles outside the nearest settlement. If she didn't do something she would either die of heat or something much worse...

Her mouth curled into an annoyed frown and her nose twitched. "This is bullshit..." Her eyes looked around at the surroundings, they orbs that offered her vision were protected by an old pair of pilots goggles. Suddenly a loud whining sound came from her vehicle as slowly started up. Sarafeena realized that dust had gotten into the cooling systems. That would have to be dealt with in the settlment. She hoped into the craft and pulled down the protective window, very slowly hovering towards the settlement.

  • Rust stood over the remains of Ancient military research station, and the now destroyed Red Fist outpost. The reds had made a camp here to help with supply routes for other firebases in the area but Rust of course had other uses for this place. He walked toward the entrance to the old base but cocks his head as another door opened. One he hadn't seen, and a tank rolled out from.it along with several more soldiers. The weapon systems on his arms rotated then locked in place with a hiss. He then crouched and blasted forward appearing behind the tank and jamming his hands between the turret and the armor, "WORTHLESS SCUM" he mechanical voice sounded over the strain of metal. Then the tanks turret came free and flew ten meters to the side and the soldiers stair in awe and fear. "All will tremble before me..." The soldiers then ran away screaming.

Rusts lens turned red and he chuckled, "You're DOOMED" He roars flying after them. Filling the old base with screams.

  • Evan watched the footage of the old outpost with a look of complete despair on his face. These were his people, his alliance. This...robot was chasing them and he sounded like he was enjoying it. He was laughing, calling the soldiers scum, chasing them and adding on one more nightmare. Evan Larkson was a coward. There was no other way to say it. He was in a flat, in Slevakia, watching carnage through the unreal filter of a screen. It could be a game, or old history vids, but it wasn't. This was happening now and Evan the bloody coward couldn't do anything. Right now, at least. One day, he would find this robot, hunt him down and shoot him dead and/or get shot dead. The first option was more appealing, but the second would at least mean he couldn't hate anymore.
"You're DOOMED!" the metallic voice screeched. Then Evan pressed mute and buried his head in his hands.
    "No need to remind me..."

  • Nahiossi watched with narrowed eyes at the plume of smoke rising slowly into the air. A battle, he surmised - however, he was too far away for his binoculars to give him any reliable view of the source. Beneath him, Buck stirred, growling uneasily. He could smell the smoke from here, and experience had taught him that usually meant trouble.

Nahiossi soothed him with a hand upon his neck, before pulling a raw, bloody cut of meat from the sack carried on his shoulder. He brought it into the Chlamydoraptor's line of vision, and the reptile accepted the offer quite willingly. They were a couple of miles from the nearest settlement just on the edge of the GFM and Red Fist territories, a supposed neutral zone. He needed to stop there for some needed supplies before going on to Point Alpha, a soldier camp that at his current pace of travel would take another day and a half to reach.

Even in neutral territory, he was wary. He didn't go anywhere without expecting to be attacked - that's why he carried his rifle with him everywhere he went. It was better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it around. Privately, he hoped he wouldn't have to use it today, but one could never be sure on Mars.

  • Her eyes shifted to her right. Smoke. She didn't know if it was some sort of campfire or perhaps total destruction. She then heard the noise of explosions and huffed. Sarafeena used her old craft to analyze the area, if it would even work. The data came back. "Red fist? Hm... good thing I don't do business with those shmucks."

Her course continued as it was towards the GFM settlement. She would do some black market trading and then head to the largest settlement around where her junk base was.

  • Rust stood over a trembling soldier and laughed. He then picked the soldier up by his best and lifted him over his head, "Now...Tell me where the server room is and I might let you live..."he says then tosses the soldier aside as he pretty much cries the answer. He then walks deeper into the now empty base to claim what was his. Of course a response force would be here sooner or later. Not that it would help. But he appreciated the effort none the less. Gave him soothing to vent on.

  • "I might let you live..." Nobody deserved to hold that power. It seemed the volume hadn't turned down after all. Evan's light green eyes stared out from behind his fingers. He couldn't carry on watching this. He was going to go somewhere, do something, anything but this. For someone born in the war, he was oddly sensitive to these kind of things. In his two years working for Red Fist, he hadn't killed a soul. Some might call him a pacifist. Anyway. Let's go. Evan turned off his laptop, put in his bag and walked to the door. He grabbed his coat and hat, putting it on as he left. Time to go...somewhere. Out of here. Time to make some different lives less crap.

  • Twins Bedda and Ari Aldini looked at each other, stationed not too far from where their friend Nahiossi was. Each could see what was happening far off in the distance, with the help of the binoculars they owned of course. The younger twin sighed. "Looks like we need to send some men out there. Grab your scouts, get to Nahi. Tell him to meet me four clicks north, the travel to Alpha will have to wait. GMS and Red Fist agreed land there is to be neutral territory, I intend to keep it as such." With a nod at the order, the older twin brother disappeared from his perch, shrugging on his cloak as he ran off to gather his scouts as ordered to go to Nashiossi whom was a few miles to the east of them.

While her twin brother did that, the young female general gathered arms and prepared the rest of her men to battle, even if her group was small since the rest were with her twin brother. She had an even amount of scouts and troopers on her battle platoon, men and women she trusted with her and her twins lives even if it didn't seem that way. After a brief word, she motioned them into the road runners, moving to get into one herself. She needed to stop the attack in the territory, it was under her jurisdiction to do so after all.

After the few minute run, Ari slowed to a jog with his handful of scouts behind him, heading straight to the white haired male he was looking for. "Nahi, Bedda said to meet her four clicks to the north. She has a plan to stop the attack, said our original trip to Alpha will have to be put on hold. We may be low on the necessary supplies, but this shouldn't take long and she sent a few scouts and troopers out to get the supplies we need," The older male said, relaying the messages he was supposed to in one quick, orderly fashion.

  • Rust found the server room and had tapped into the terminal and began to download everything. And within a minute he was done. "So..." He turns around and slowly heads toward the bases armory. He then ripped the security door off and walked in. Spotting what looked like an ancient part of some machine. He grabbed it and opened his chassis and then installed it and tossed out his old one. His shoulders opened up and revealed 5 megaton warhead micro missile launchers. He chuckled then started heading out of the base. "Onto the next one...i WILL find my upgrades...Then when im done I'll kill them all."

The white haired male lowered his specs and looked down at Ari. "Alright, then, but let's approach this carefully. I have this odd feeling that it may be more dangerous than we anticipate," he cautioned, pulling on the reins to have Buck turn. "And I'd like this to be quick. I wanted to get to Alpha as soon as possible before something bad happened - which, obviously, already has."

Beneath the server room where Rust was downloaded files, the noise and explosions of the battle prior had jostled some long buried machinery. In a dusty corner of the room, an aged automaton lay dormant, but the motion triggered its active duty response, and its electric eyes whirred to life and flashed blue. Gears whirred as it creakily uncoiled and looked around, realizing it was trapped. Its sensors told it that the surface was twenty feet directly above it, and if it wanted out, it would have to dig. It raised its tail, on the end of which was a steel drill, which slowly began to spin, but began to pick up speed and soon was blazing.

  • Sarafeena parked her small space craft in a dusty lot filled with other crafts. Some were nice, others were as crappy as hers. She needed to get a part for her craft, a new radiator compensator, and then some other things her "cheif" said their small community needed. The small Russian got out what money she had which would be spent on her craft and then other items she was told I trade in. She quietly walked to the traders station, taking off her goggles. In the towns the Mars wind wasn't as bad. Most towns had force fields to help, this place, a total dump, had old metal walls that always needed repairing.
