    Season: Early New-leaf
    Current Leader: Baystar
    Current Deputy: Undecided

    Current medicine cats: Midnightsong, Firepool
Current medicine cat apprentices: Newtpaw, Deerpaw

    1/9/17
A full moon is placed above the clearing tonight, the smell of New-leaf is in the air, now all the snow is gone and the grass begins to turn green again. Leaf-bare was harsh, especially on those who grew weak with old bones, but no one had passed to the cold. Birds begin to sing their gently melodies once more, and the cats of MonarchClan can celebrate happily with warm paws again. All is quiet in MonarchClan camp, except for the few eager whispers that were coated in excitement. The clan had been gifted with new lives, kits.

    Riverspin

A soft wave of moonlight washed into the nursery, uncovering the newly made mother and her kits from the shadows. The kits only a few moments old, the she-cat tired. Although every time she looked down adoringly at her two young kits, her energy was replenished. The she-cat was Riverspin, a warrior of MonarchClan. The she-cat began grooming her little bundles of joy gently, she never had cared for kits, although now that she had her own, she learned what it was like to love like a mother. The she-cat was tired, yes, but she was tensed and ready to fight if her kits were threatened in anyway, but she knew in MonarchClan's camp, they were safe. "I'll name you Mothkit, and you Ospreykit," she whispered silently to herself, and really anyone close enough to hear her. Eagerness flooded up inside of her, and she curled her tail lightly under her kits.

    Baystar

The older leader stood by his den, the camp was quiet now besides from the whispers, he found it funny, he remembered when Riverspin herself was born, and now here she was with her own litter. Riverspin had grew to be a lot like her mentor, it was funny how much he had influenced her. The leader was tired, and understood the she-cat was in need of her own space, he gave his clan a proud nod and lurked into his den, from there the moonlight did not reach him, he was submerged into the shadows and curled up on his grassy nest. He closed his eyes and slowly began to fall asleep.

  • FoxStep awoke from her slumber and yawned as she pushed her body up. She yawned again after she finished pushing herself up, and walked out of the warrior's den sluggishly, on her way to the fresh kill pile.

    ≥Kestrelflight≤
Kestrelflight laid next to the pile prey, eying it but never showing any intention of touching it. His hazel eyes shifted towards the approaching she cat tiredly. With a heavy sigh, he nodded his head at her as a simple greeting and then glanced back down at the pile next to him.

    ≥Hallowpaw≤

The young pale golden cat inched towards the nursery, watching what was happening inside. New kits were always exiting news and these were no exception. He playfully crouched outside, smiling at the new mother innocently.

  • Female -- 36 moons -- Warrior -- 100% Health -- Apprentice: Lonepaw

The dew was what woke her up from her pleasant slumber. Not the sun. The moisture clung to her fur uncomfortably, forcing her to groan in displeasure and stand, leaving her comfy nest behind. She stepped outside, listening to the sound of rumors. Rolling her eyes, she decided it would be better to hurry up and get started on Lonepaw. She poked her head into the apprentice den. "Hey. Lonepaw, let's get rolling. We've got a busy day ahead of us." She hissed before stepping away to wait for said apprentice.

  • // im on mobile so no fancy post!! Sorry for any typos too :P

It had been a long night. With the birth of Riverspin's kits a few hours prior had the medicine cats awake late into the night. Newtpaw had concluded that he wasn't a fan of dilivering kits. Not only was he forced into the nursery-- which he had loathed since he was a kit-- but everything was also extremely confusing. His mentor, Midnightsong, had assured him that this skill takes time but that hadn't made it any more infuriating.

Newtpaw had just awoken, the sun barely grazing the horizon. The air was heavy and cold, the dew that had formed overnight clung to his short fur and sent a shiver down his spine. He could vaguely hear the voices of warriors and apprentices milling throughout the camp in the early morning. Newtpaw stretched his legs and lashed his tail before rising to his paws. The ginger tom padded towards the exit of the medicine den, his tail touching the walls of the abandoned rabbit den.

The air was fresh and smelled clean-- a stark contrast to the medicine den (which Newtpaw claimed smelled of dust and musty herbs). The apprentice took a seat outside the entrance of the den. Birds' chirps could be heard throughout the camp and comforted the thin tom. As per usual Newtpaw decided to skip the freshkill pile and instead relaxed while the camp was still quiet and peaceful. Once more cats would step outside their dens, MonarchClan would be filled with chaos-- at least in his opinion.

  • Riverspin

As the moon began to plummet back down to get swallowed by the moon, Riverspin's slumber began to end. The mother opened her eyes into slits, her body ached and her lower muscles stiff. She picked her head up and yawned, with that a unfamiliar yet welcoming scent hit her nose. She looked down and instantly her soreness was put off her mind, and the mothers eyes began to glow with love when she looked at her kits. She was eager for them to open their tiny little eyes, for them to start walking, playing, and talking. She would need the company. The queen had been placed in the nursery half a moon before her kits actually arrived, only when her mate or friend was willing and not busy to take her out in the forest was she able to roam freely. The last half moon being locked in the nursery and camp made her feel like a kit again. But now, she was able to do her job, she was a mother now, and she wouldn't be leaving the nursery for another six moons.
The she-cat continued to admire her kits, until from out of the corner of her eye she spotted Hallowpaw, relief flooded over her and she gave him a small smile back before slightly flicking her tail beckoning him over.
"You can come in if you'd like." , She said, inviting the apprentice over kindly.

    Baystar

Baystar got up onto his paws with a stretch, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling of the bark. He grumpily glared up before making his way out side. He padded to the center of the clearing, slightly opened his mouth and tasted the air. New-leaf was here, and the tom was going to treat it as his last. He'd enjoy every warm nuzzle of the sun, every cooling breeze, every melody the birds sang, everything. He looked around the camp and noticed everyone was starting to wake. He stretched before giving a quick order.
"A hunting patrol should go out at once! New-leaf has gifted us with plenty of prey. Animals are out from their long slumber. A border patrol would be wise too. Make sure the fox pair spotted last Leaf-fall didn't breed, we don't want foxes sneaking into our camp at night causing ciaos."

  • CROOKEDFOOT--HE/HIM--WARRIOR

Crookedfoot was settled just outside the warriors' den, watching the camp with idle eyes. His ear flicked as he picked up on small conversations, finding himself once again looking over at the nursery. Two new lives had been introduced to the clan, and the warrior had found himself caught up in the joy of it all. The birth of kits was always something to rejoice over, and Crookedfoot was more than glad to know the clan was going to continue to grow, even now.
The warrior glanced up at the sound of his leader's voice, climbing to his paws and moving over to see if he could find any other cats that planned to head out. He'd go hunting, he always enjoyed the peace that came with finding prey to bring back to the clan.

    CHERRYPAW--SHE/HER--APPRENTICE

Cherrypaw lifted her head from her paws as she hear the voice of Baystar carrying out over the camp. The she-cat had been up since much earlier that morning, thoughts running through her head at a mile a minute. Needless to say she was a little tired, but the prospect of helping the clan always seemed to drive her into action.
As she climbed to her feet, the apprentice glanced back towards the den to see who else was up before she moved forward. She felt a small swell of happiness flutter through her as she glanced at the nursery where Riverspin was nursing her two new kits. The new lives seemed to have excited everyone in the camp, and Cherrypaw was glad to see the improvement in clan morale.

    OSPREYKIT--HE/HIM--KIT

Ospreykit, small thing as he was, proved himself to be very much alive and awake as his mother began shifting. His tiny body squirmed closer to her as he let out a high-pitched squeal, as if to remind her that he was there. The kit unintentionally clambered over his sibling as he looked for a nice spot to settle down, burying a small face into his mother's belly fur upon finding the right place to sleep. It would be a little while yet before his eyes opened, but at least he was already bossing around his family members.

  • OOC: I'll get a fancy post at some point I promise. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad for the help.

    Stormstream
The birth of kits always made Stormstream nervous. It wasn't that she didn't like kits, in fact she thought they were adorable, she just didn't know how to act with them. After leaving the nursery as an apprentice, she'd made it a point to never step foot in there again. She didn't want to risk messing up with such tiny creatures. So she gave the nursery a wide berth as she walked towards Baystar, eager to get out of camp and start patrolling.

    Mothkit

Consciousness is a strange thing for a new born kit. He was aware of temperature, oh quite aware. He'd been in such a nice warm, quiet place, but now he was cold. Well, colder. He felt a warmth next to him, instinctivily knowing that warmth was his mother. So, he wiggled next to her taking in as much warmth as he could in this strange new cold.

  • //I'll get a fancy soon but I want to squeeze in my first post!

It seems it was the start of a new day for the young apprentice. The sun shining in from the outside made the Apprentices' Den feel too stuffy for Revivalpaw's liking. Dull green eyes slowly fluttered opened as the apprentice blinked away all the fuzziness from sleep. Quietly, she stretched out in her nest while trying hard not to accidentally bump into any other cat in case they were still sleeping. With small steps, Revivalpaw went outside into the main camp. She was already a moon's worth into apprenticeship, but it still felt like it was her first day again. Revivalpaw remained besides the den. Her ears perked at the order from Baystar, but she couldn't do much about it unless she got picked to go.

  • Firepool rolled onto his side, back to the entrance of the den. He kept trying to sleep longer, kept up from Riverspin's birthing. Not that it was a bother. He felt proud and pleased that the queen had little complications in the wee hours of night. Yet he still roused when the leader's voice echoed through the camp. Sat up in his bedding, he took in his surroundings. Today would be tiring, he thought.

Mistystep awoke early that day. Nothing to surprising for her though. She stretched her sore muscles. Then the elder was on her feet. She wandered across the clearing, towards the smell of milk. It brought nostalgia, reminders of her litters. A soft, aging voice called into the nursery. "Morning, Riverspin. May I come in?"

Milkheart stretched in her bedding. To her despair, she had awoken, but not to Baystar's voice. A section of the den wall, unfortunately placed overher spot, allowed the brightness of the sun to shine in. Someone would need to fix that, she thought with a grumble. And so she was awake, smoothing out her ruffled fur. At the call, she followed it out, glancing to the leader. She decided to approach him, her voice quiet. "Um, Baystar? May I talk to you? About Cherrypaw, I mean." She didn't seem nervous but more so worried as well as excited about the subject.

Featherpaw laid outside the apprentices den. He peered up as Baystar made an announcement. Then he turned to Cherrypaw who had seem to be awake now. "Morning," He meowed. "Sleep well?"

  • --im on mobile so no fancypost rip, not to mention i might not post too much right now due to a lot of drama at my school and trying to help my girlfriend with her personal issues

badgerwood, as usual, slept peacefully on a messy piece of moss, with small pieces of dark bicolored fur peaking out of the green. for now, he remained calm and still, resting his sore limbs. yesterday he had been pushing himself, resulting in some strained muscles. but he had little care for that. even though he had both of his eyes closed, his ears swiveled to each and every sound made. he could hear it all, every rustle and every breath. it was rather calming for him.

swallow hadn't slept, no one did. her stomach growled and had been clawing at her insides, begging for some nutrients. but they were all going hungry, she had to take care of the others before her. they had reached their destination, the lead rouge had somehow found out a location that carried prey and water. but would it be enough to feed the starving kits? what about the mothers and others? the group wasn't excatly small. her ears pricked at the sounds made, her nose picking up the rich smell of clan cats and a certain one that she hadn't found for a long time. for a split second, her heart had jumped and lifted, but she had forced it to retreat. only a fool would think it was kestrel. he was now long gone, forgot that he had once had a sister.

  • [image='396','large'][/image]

    ≥Kestrelflight≤
The slender tom immediatlly jumped up as he heard the leader's voice boom across the camp grounds, shaken up from surprise. His ears perked up and his tail waved as he padded closer to Baystar. While the tom's expression laid grim, somewhat twisting his face's actual shape, he stayed perfectly quiet. He gave a quick glance towards the other gathered cats, particularly Badgerwood, who had become Hallowpaw's mentor. His ear flicked as he stared at the black and white tom, but his gaze quickly shifted back to Baystar. He shouldn't think about that topic right now. He surely had duties more important than that right now..

    [image='397','large'][/image]

    ≥Hallowpaw≤

With a happy grin, Hallowpaw padded over to Riverspin, looking down at the new members of the clan with exitement. "They are gorgeous, Riverspin!", he chirped, hardly containing his exitement in a low volume voice not to disturb the kits. His big green eyes gleamed happily. With a flick of an ear, he turned toward the elder who called down to the new mother of the clan. "Hello, Mistystep!", he waved his tail as a greeting, smiling at the other she cat brightly.

  • Quailflight perked from where she sat. She had been meaning to step out of the drafty old camp. Her bones cracked as she rose and stretched, tail lashing. Quailflight was engulfed with boredom which she often suffered from. She had been awake all the while Riverspin was birthing her kits. It was good to have new additions to the clan. She purred and padded over. Listening to Baystar got her thinking about the foxes and a wave of anxiety flooded her sense. She did not want to deal with that at all.

Melancholypaw woke, his eyes shifted around and he crinkled his nose. Blinking he pried himself from his bedding and slithered out of the den. His ears drooped and bobbed tail twitching behind him. He heard that Riverspin had gone into labor and he wondered if she was alright. Birthing kits was a pain, so he heard.

  • FoxStep
FoxStep finished her fresh kill and went away from the fresh kill pile to wash her paws. She gently washed her paws with her tongue. After she did that, she yawned and walked into the forest to hunt by herself.

  • Female -- 36 moons -- Warrior -- 100% Health -- Apprentice: Lonepaw

Ear's flicking to Baystar, the quiet warrior yawned, approaching Kestrelflight. "I plan to go to the border and check for the foxes with Lonepaw, when they get up. Would you like to accompany us?" She asked quietly, fluffy tail lashing as she continued to hold her fabulous bitch-face. Her green eyes studied the tom as she retreated to her haunches, lightly licking her chops.

  • The small apprentice continued to listen on to all the other conversations happening from within the camp. Though, there was none that she could really "squeeze" into at the moment. Revivalpaw looked towards the fresh-kill pile and delicately padded her way over. Her belly had begun to rumble and the noise it was making made the apprentice embarrassed. She picked out something small, just to quiet the rumbling. The fatter prey could be left for those who really needed it, like Riverspin and her kits now. Revivalpaw didn't want to seem greedy with picking out something plump.
Silently, she began to nibble on her small-sized meal. She chewed slowly as she listened to everything else.
