He laughed and popped the pills in his mouth before drinking the juice. He then turned his attention to Jonah as he was told where he was. "Thank you.. this must've been a huge pain in the ass for you.." He sighed scratching the back of his head sheepishly and then smiled a little at him. Dylan soon got the impression that he was looking for something as he patted his pockets. Watching him as he left the room, He took the pizza from the nightstand and slid it onto his lap carefully before starting to eat.
When Jonah came back moments later, he looked up at him and noticed he had his phone with him. His eyes widened as he mentioned his roommate. 'Crap! I completely forgot about him... I hope he didn't freak out when he didn't come home...' He thought with a pang of guilt at the thought of making Connor worry about him, though he doubt that he freaked out too much over him. He was a very stoic boy after all, not the type to freak out easily.
As he reached out to take his phone, he jumped as well as it suddenly started to ring. Laughing a tiny bit after being scared of nothing, he went silent and nodded respectively as Jonah answered it. As he listened to the conversation, he perked up when he assumed the 'Boss' wanted to speak to him. Immediately, he felt nervous about talking to him and thankfully Jonah made an excuse for him. He mouthed a Thank You to him with an appreciative look.
As Jonah finished the phone call, he smiled a bit. "Thank you for everything, Jonah... once I get better I'll leave. I don't want to over stay my welcome. Besides you're gonna want your bed back soon." He laughed softly looking at him. As he left, Dylan tapped in the phone number of his roommate into the phone and waited patiently for him to pick up.
"Hello?" Came the confused voice of Connor as he picked up. "Hey Connor, It's Dylan." He responded with a small laugh. "I'm at my cousins house. My uncle had to go to the hospital so I probably won't be back for a while.... No, He fell off a ladder so its nothing serious." He lied nonchalantly leaning back against the pillows. "Can you do me a huge favor and get my teachers to email my assignments to me?... Thank you. Talk to you later." Dylan said his goodbye before hanging up.
He noticed Jonah come back and held his phone out to him. "Thank you, I'm done." He said with a smile.
