“You’ve done nothing wrong, guppy. I just...thought I’d be honest with you, that’s all.” Bill looked down, feeling a wave of guilt, “I’m sorry, it was weird. I shouldn’t have said anything...”

Now it was Ionette's turn to feel bad. She hadn't meant to make him upset, after all he was trying to take baby steps. Perhaps this is one of those steps. "No, no no, don't apologize you don't need to. I just, I didn't know you watching me could do that to you.. I know how much you don't like when it's happened, that's why I said I'm sorry... I don't want to accidentally set you off again, like I did before," her voice still soft and quiet as she spoke.

Ionette
“No. No, you won’t set me off. I’m...I’m trying, remember?” He tentatively grazed her hand with his, hoping she may want to hold it still. She wasn’t repulsed, maybe she would.

Ionette took Bill's hand. She didn't have to think about it when she had felt Bill's hand touch her's, no matter how light the action. "And you've already come so far, I can see that. But please, don't push yourself too hard, Love." Ionette gave Bill's hand a light squeeze of reassurance as she spoke.

Bill nodded, “it’s not really like I have much choice, but I’ll be careful.” He smiled nervously, before straitening his posture as crew mates began to flood out of doors with chests and crates. There was a hint of spice in the air, and Bill took it in, breathing deeply. “That. That’s the smell of a good haul. Spices!”

The smell of the spicies burned at Ionette's nose causing her to let out a sneeze. "Pardon me," Ionette laughed lightly, "At least this ship has a good haul. More than just the sailors, you're making yourself some good money off of these raids as well."
Bill, Crew
Ionette
Bill felt his sanity snap at how adorable her sneeze was. Had she sneezed before? He didn’t recall it being that adorable. “I... w-well, yes. It is.”

Ionette tilted her head curiously, large ears falling to the side as she took in the look on Bill's face. "You alright there, Love? You seem... baffled?"
Bill, Crew

Bill shook his head, trying to restart his head, “Ah, I think your sneeze broke my brain for a moment, love.” He grinned at her. The crew began taking the treasure, food, and supplies over to the other deck, coming back and skipping back inside to get more out on deck when they had moved a crate or two.

Ionette let out a small laugh, "That's the first time I've ever heard that before. I didn't mean to break your head, damn what kind of affect do I have on you?" She giggled.

Ionette
“It’s just...you sneeze like a kitten, love.” Bill chuckled, giving her a side glance.

Ionette's face flushed another shade of red at Bill's comment. Her ears laying flat against her head. "Oh, well I, umm.. Thank you," Ionette responded rather flustered
Bill, Crew
Ionette
Bill grinned, “well what are you all flustered for? What are you thinking in that cute little head of yours, hmm?” He cooed, scratching her ear as the crew loaded on the last of the resources. They’d worked hard tonight. Burning the ship down would cost more resources and work. Bill really didn’t feel like it.

Ionette's face only grew redder as Bill scratched at her ear. An automatic purr sounding from the bad of her throat, why does he make me purr while in sight of the crew? He must enjoy making her feel flustered, "You've got me all flustered," Ionette purred out. Her head nuzzling into his hand.

“So responsive.” Bill thought, as he led Ionette back onto the ship. When everyone was back on crack they sailed out away from the ship for a bit before Bill called out, “Alright lads. We’ve worked our fins off. Let’s drop anchor off that island over there and take a break. Get some fresh meat and sleep on land! We deserve a break!” The crew cheered, more than happy to be rewarded. Bill figured it was about time to increase morale. Land always made humans happy. “How’s that sound darling? We can sleep out on the beach.”

Ionette hummed at the thought, the idea bringing up old memories from when they had traveled to Matras' island. Granted the end of that situation ended poorly with Bill storming off into the forest and getting bitten by a snake. But this time, Ionette believes it will be a much more pleasant experience considering how far their relationship has come since that day oh so many years ago. "Sounds like it would be fun. The crew sure seems excited by it, and I'm sure this time spent sleeping on the beach will be much more pleasent than the last." Ionette grinned, her tail wiggling slightly as she spoke.

Ionette
Bill grinned, “Yeah. Definitely a better experience. Less snakes...and panthers.” He commented, walking up to the wheel and leaning on it a bit as the crew prepared to undo the sails.

Ionette laughed lightly, nodding in agreement, "and if we happens to run into any again this time around I have echoes that will willingly eat them."

Bill nodded, and kept a look out for an island. When they found one, they dropped anchor and everyone went to the shore. The mystical creatures came on deck, but never left, in order to stand guard and make sure the vessel was safe in case they were attacked. Bill kicked his boots off and ran towards the water, stopping short and just letting his feet get caught in the waves lapping the shore.

Ionette smiled fondly as she watched Bill run towards the water. Ion followed, taking off her own shoes so she could stand beside him. She leaned her head against Bill's arm as she stared out at the horizon where the stars kissed the water. It looked as if the sea itself was held the sky within it, the stars never ending. "It's beautiful," she spoke softly.
