[size=8]・゚★ ☾ the nightmare fades from your memory as your eyes sprang open. you almost reach out for it, just to see what it is, but its too late, and you're too afraid, anyway. you settle for sitting up in your nest, reciting nonsense words in your head until your breathing evens out. only then do you try to think.
a bad dream. hardly remember the last time you've had one. they used to be on a daily basis, but that was before your death, when you passed a few heart beats away only for funhaus to follow in pursuit, and then you woke up in his arms. you figured nightmares would have been even more constant after that (surely you're mind has enough ammo, witnessing that awful scene) but none ever came. and then when you ran away, alone and wandering, you had an excuse, but you hadn't gotten a single nightmare. perhaps you had been too exhausted by loner life to dream up anything horrific. why were you having them now, though...
with a heavy sigh, you put it out of your mind. you're in the terminus of rebellion now. surrounded by new, mostly friendly faces. safe, if only by the skin of your teeth. for the first time in months, you should have nothing to worry about except for being discovered, yet here you are, wide awake.
sleep is a lost cause. childish though it is, you arent going to risk the nightmare coming back. so you venture out of your living quarters, taking care not to wake your clanmates. before long, you find yourself by the ferris wheel. it looks ancient and withered to you, but it probably still works. wordlessly, you clamber up into one of the seats, the cushioning torn and the seat belt tattered. the leather feels cold beneath your body, but at least it promises to keep you awake. out here, you have solitude. but someone will find you eventually; they always do.[fancypost=border-width:0;color:#BDA0A6;font-size:12pt;letter-spacing:-2px][center]i'm a n-n-nervous wreck / [color=#fff]tags
