He gave Ruben a tired smile. "I'm trying."

"Your doin fine..what's wrong?"he asked as he sat beside him watching his godchildren

His smile was faltering but he pulled it back up. "Nothing."

"I know you to well Sebastian. Tell me"he ordered as he glanced a him.

He let out a deep, anxious breath. "Is Beck alright?"

"He's..his human side is dying..Miah doesn't know the full extent. He was shift to a wolf..but how long he remains a wolf is another question. Why do you ask dear boy?"he said calmly

Sebastian stares hard at the ground before finally looking back up to Ruben. "I want to find a cure."

"I've tried..your scared how this will affect Miah aren't you?"he realised "listen if ou found a cure tomorrkw it wouldn't save beck"he said honestly

He looked angry. "Why not?"

"Because his wolf genes are already mutating and multiplying inside his blood."he said simply "I'm sorry seb"

He looked defeated. "You've got to be wrong," he mumbled under his breath.

Ruben shook his head "maybe if this was a few months ago..we could of saved him or slow it down..but it's too morphed now"he explained "is Miah ok?"

"I don't know." His attention turned back to the kids.

They were calmly snuggled up together as Ruben sighed "what makes you say that?"

"Can you... watch Alluna and Aiden for a minute?" Without waiting for an answer, he stood and walked upstairs. "Miah?"

He nodded as he joined them on the sofa. Miah was dressed and turned "yeah? What is it?"

"Are you alright?"

"No I'm a little confused...I can't believe I thought they were twins..what's wrong with me"she sighed hugging Sebastian.

He hugged her back, tight enough to be comforting but not tight enough to seem aggressive. "It's alright," he tells her, stroking her hair with one hand.
