  • [center][fancypost=text-align:justify; width:400px]He was a newcomer to ThunderClan. A newcomer who would prove to be important in their little community, eventually stepping up one day and becoming their leader. But, of course, he wouldn't be able to earn their trust if he didn't even know their names! Names, faces, personalities - all were important to learn if you wanted to get close to a group of people. That was something he had learned during his moons of living. Now, on his first day of living in ThunderClan, he would act on what he had learned and would try to make an effort to learn about his clanmates. "Alright! I don't think I've met most of ya, so c'mon over here for a little meet an' greet."

  • Hearing about him talk about being a Medicine cat she perked up a bit. um, sur. Could you tell us a liil bit about your time as medicine cat?" she asked as she sat down beside Whitepaw

  • ooc: as the pokemon named rper in TC, I cannot avoid this thread.

Ic: Whitepaw walked up to the new deputy "We've met before but as a refresher I'm Whitepaw. Named after my white fur. I'm one of the elder apprentices". He was excited to become a warrior very soon. He wondered what his warrior name will be. His orange eyes looked around for more warriors.

  • Drywind sat at the edge of the clearing, holding his statuesque form high and burning holes in the new "deputy" with his narrowed yellow green stare. To say the warrior was unhappy was an understatement-frankly he was disgusted. What was Stonestar thinking? It was unheard of to choose a deputy from an enemy clan, and to do so without consulting a soul in the clan? Drywind was disgusted. Not to mention the fact that Audenine was a medicine cat, and Thinderclan was without a proper healer. It seemed a shame to waste his knowledge when he could be made useful to them, especially while there were many fine warriors right here in Thunderclan who would have made loyal, devoted deputies and wise leaders one day. He spat and turned away, his pelt hot. He had no hard feeling against the skyclanner personally- he was just angry at their leader and refused to acknowledge the outsider as his deputy.

  • Tanglefoot padded over warily with wide, concerned eyes. She glanced at Drywind- she knew the warrior could very well have expected himself to be chosen as deputy; this must have stung. She sat beside Whitepaw and gave him a friendly lick on the cheek, but her expression remained pensive. She felt sympathetic for the ex Skyclanner- he seemed a decent enough cat, but she couldn't help but feel her leader had made a poor decision. Audenine was about to have a very rough time. "Hello," The usually vivacious young she cat meowed hesitantly, again glancing at the sandy tom sulking in the shadows. [color=palegoldenrod] "I'm Tanglefoot."

  • [center][fancypost=text-align:justify; width:400px]Already a group had arrived, with several apprentices and warriors gathering around. The apprentices he had met before, but it was nice to see them show up anyways. "Hey, Palepaw, Whitepaw." Already he was starting to learn bits and pieces about his new clanmates. Palepaw showed interest in becoming a medicine cat and was more than willing to learn despite her hyperactivity. Whitepaw was one of the more mature apprentices in both mind and age and eagerly awaited the day he became a warrior.

Drywind and Tanglefoot, however, were new faces. He didn't even know Drywind's name, but yet Audenine could already tell that they probably wouldn't get along. Drywind seemed to be quite unhappy with Aud's sudden joining and promotion. The negative attitude rubbed off on the tom, the urge to become defensive rising up again. So what if he was from another clan? Warriors always talked so highly of their beloved StarClan until it actually came to believing in and trusting their decisions. Which was it? Was he, too, supposed to question them? No, no, if he were to do so, he would be considered unloyal because of his past. So why was this tom allowed to act all high and mighty? Why was he allowed to get all huffy over a situation that he had no say in otherwise?

The large tom would simply bite his tongue, letting his mouth tighten into a frown as his tufted ears flicked back against his head. Drywind would come around. He would have to, sooner or later, because the future was already set in stone. There was no changing what was happening.

As Tanglefoot approached as introduced herself, he loosened up. A scowl turned into a soft, friendly smile. "Hey. Nice t' meetcha." He would glance around at the group, waiting to see if anyone else would arrive before continuing. "I s'pose I should talk 'bout m'self a little too. I was born a kittypet, hence m' name. Joined SkyClan when I was eleven moons old and became their medicine cat shortly after. Now I'm here." Of course, he left out the part about joining BloodClan, seeing Dapplestar get her eye ripped out and die from blood loss, joining ShadowClan... Some major events in his life that wouldn't matter as much to them as it did to him. Or stuff that did matter, but would make them hate him.

  • "Over there is Drywind" Whitepaw said pointing his tail to the warrior. "He maybe cold to you at first but he is a good honest cat. He may seem disrespectful and rude but his heart is in the right place. If he believes in something not even StarClan can change his mind. He has been wanting to be deputy for some time. He is a really hardworking cat". He did not want the new deputy to be angry with Drywind. Drywind has been in enough trouble with Thornstar. Whitepaw knew Drywind quite well. Drywind was his most trusted male cat who was not related to him in the clan.

  • AS LONG AS I'M BY YOUR SIDE — branchpaw — trad. thunderclan — he/him

And over padded Branchpaw, his expression curious and ears perked forward to catch anything that was said by the newcomer. While Branchpaw didn't exactly agree with the decision to make Audenine the deputy, he was incredibly interested in the tom. He was trusted enough to not only become medicine cat, but also deputy, while he was only a little bit older than Branchpaw himself. Not to mention that he had started off as a kittypet. To the blue point, it seemed like the other tom was probably serious when it came to clan stuff, as well a quick learner.

Of course, because he was still new to the clan, Branchpaw had some questions. "Why didn't you take on a warrior name after joining Skyclan?" That was the first thing he said upon joining the group, not really bothering with a hello due to the fact that he didn't believe it to be needed. He had already introduced himself to the deputy when he had first arrived, he didn't see any reason to do so again. "And you were a kittypet? What was that like? I've heard stories that twolegs are these vile creatures, but if they are so disgusting then why do so many cats chose to continue living that kind of life? And where did you learn about herbs? From the twolegs?" The more questions that had been asked, the more questions he thought up to be answered, causing his tone to get a bit faster, excitement ringing clear. He really wanted to know more about the world outside Thunderclan, and to know about the tom that held such power over Thunderclan.

  • Hearing the commotion, Bluekit's interest peaked. The child scuttled over to the small group of felines with hesitation, careful not to draw any attention to herself. She wouldn't want to interrupt their conversation or anything. Once she found a long enough pause for her to interject, the child began speaking. "Uhm, hi, sir. My name's Bluekit. I'm sorry for asking, but what's a kittypet? I've only been alive for a short time, I'm still not sure what everything means, you see." The kid spoke with a meek voice, feeling rather stupid for not knowing what twolegs or kittypets were. The child shuffled her paws, immediately feeling the need to make up for her silly question. "Erm, I really like your long fur, sir. It's super nice."

  • [center][fancypost=text-align:justify; width:400px]Drywind, huh. The way Whitepaw described the tom, is was as if he really trusted him. Audenine didn't doubt it - the two were clanmates, after all. Considering his age, Whitepaw probably grew up knowing Drywind and most likely knew how the tom's thoughts worked better than the deputy did. He would have to take the apprentice's word for it. "...I hope yer right."

His time as a medicine cat? It wasn't all that different from being a warrior. He still went on patrols, still went hunting and fought alongside SkyClan during the BloodClan raid... The only change was that he had more responsibility. "Well, depends on what ya wanna know. Learnin' was kinda difficult, at first. Lots o' stuff t' remember. Once ya know it, though, it sticks with ya. Otherwise, it was like bein' a warrior - 'cept maybe that was just me bein' stubborn an' still goin' on patrols an' such."

Why didn't he take on a warrior name? The tom hadn't thought about it that often, but he could see why the apprentice would ask. Quite frankly, he had expected Thrushstar to give him one upon his joining, but she had never gotten around to it. "Honestly? I'm not sure m'self. I thought Thrushstar would go an' give me one, but I guess she never thought it was that important. I didn't know too much about the structure of clan names at the time of my joinin', so I didn't give m'self one either."

Yes, he was a kittypet. It was only for a short time, being three moons old when he was dropped off on BloodClan's doorstep, but he was still born a kittypet nonetheless. "Some of 'em can be vile. I've heard stories 'bout people who's twolegs were just nasty towards 'em. Mine were pretty nice though. Fed me, kept me warm an' all that. Life was pretty easy - it was just my mum, my siblings an' I then."

"I learned 'bout herbs from SkyClan's former medicine cats. Mintyblossom taught me a few basic things 'bout preventing infection and stoppin' a pre-existing infection, but Sparrowheart taught me th' rest of it." Of course, when Mintyblossom taught him, he had actually assisted two other BloodClanners in capturing her and SkyClan's deputy at the time, Pollenfrost. That was when Sheogorath promoted his very first Elite Healer. Audenine wondered where Spear was nowadays - he hadn't seen her during the raid. Not like it mattered anymore. He had liked the molly, but they couldn't be friends. Not now.

As Bluekit piped up, the massive tom found himself peering down at the molly's small form. His expression softened, as to not intimidate her. He ot that his large, scarred form could intimidate kits - and had succeeded in doing so in the past. "Hey, Bluekit, 's'alright.. A kittypet's a cat who lives in the Twolegplace. They got twolegs that take care of 'em so they don't fight or anythin' like clan cats do. They often don't get to have as much freedom, though, an' they certainly don't have the same sense of community th' clans do." As she complimented his fur, he would let out a warm laugh, mood lightening. "Thanks, kit. I like yers too."
