    Caesar had been here before, when he left RiverClan for that one month before he came back. It was peaceful and quiet here, much the opposite of what RiverClan was going through right now. The serval cub honestly preferred being in the Loner Lands at the moment, just to get rid of the drama surrounding his adoptive mother. He hadn't noticed anybody judging him because Hope adopted him, but sometimes it really felt like it; he was being watched carefully and judged from a distance. Caesar let out a sigh as he laid down on the grass, watching it blow in the wind.

    Hope, meanwhile, had been having trouble. Now she was the one watching the action, and her friend Roxanne was doing all the work. Sure, she would fight Littlestar and Ghoulian, but she didn't want to get involved in the...Taskforce or the ranks or anything. A normal member just trying to strike RiverClan. That was it.


    "Caesar." Her tone was neutral but held a slight tint of relief. She hadn't gone all out on Caesar for staying there, nor Elixir. If her adopted son wanted to stay in RiverClan, so be it. Her Exiles scent was still there, just faint. She had to leave that place, leave to go to ShadowClan with Elixir. She had to. She flicked an ear as her blue gaze landed on her son. She approached him slowly.

    Caesar quickly jumped to his paws at Hope's voice, though it was more out of surprise than it being her voice than anything else. "H-Hope!" He gasped, ears pricking for a few moments. The Minnow went forward to go and hug her, but stopped abruptly as he remembered what had been going on recently with Hope and RiverClan. Caesar's ears went back in a fearful way and he frowned. "Why are you here?"

    Caesar did flinch back from Hope's nuzzle at first, but eventually relaxed as he pressed his head against her. "No one's hurting me there," He admitted. "It's just... hard without you. I want to stay since I've made a name for myself, but I... I miss you." He really did, and it wasn't like he could get a secret alliance in The Exiles. It'd be too hard to hide.

    She blinked and nodded. "I know." she brayed sadly. "But I'm glad no one's hurting you."


    All of a sudden the plan came out. "Elixir and I are heading to ShadowClan very soon, and I'll see if I can come visit...I know you probably don't want to come but...can you do me a favor?" Her ears folded down. "Please keep Elixir safe. I know you don't like him, but...he needs to stay safe, especially with an exile as his mother. And there's no one else I trust more than you." Hope blinked her blue optics.

    "ShadowClan might end up as an enemy," Caesar replied with a frown. "I mean, I can't control where you go, but what if they suddenly attack us or something?" Ivylee certainly wouldn't call off the truce on her own, that's for sure. At the mention of Elixir, the cub frowned. "I can try. But how would I stop someone if they try to hurt them?"
