Foreststar gazed out onto LucentClan's camp, blinking sleep out her evergreen-tinted hues. She saw Meadowpaw grabbing a piece of prey to share with the queens in the nursery. She treasured the young medicine cat apprentice. After all, she was the only living memory she had of Aurorabreeze, her former apprentice. The brown tabby stretched her legs out as she looked over at the cats she shared a home with - the cats in the Clan she lead.

  • Leafshine watched as Meadowpaw cared for her clanmates, she smiled, she was so much like her mother, Leafshine still missed her friend, but she had gotten over the worst of the grief, she would wait for her apprentice to finish before calling over to her "Meadowpaw! I need you to sort these herbs over here" she gestured to the freshly picked plants.

Sharp woke up from his makeshift nest, he grumbled in disdain and the stench of tar, for he was right by the thunderpath, streatching for a few heartbeats before getting up, the large tom padded out of the tunnel he was sleeping in, daylight scorched his pelt and his belly grumbled. grunting he went to look for food- hopefully the forest scent would wash the thunderpath stink of his fur.

would it be alright if he joined the clan to be closer to his daughter?? ^^

  • Wasppaw padded out of the apprentices den and slightly yawned before looking around camp to see who else was up. She noticed that Foreststar was up and so was Meadowpaw, she slightly smiled as she stretched her legs and sat down near the apprentices den to shortly bask in the morning sun before she got on with her daily duties.

  • OOC : Yes, that's fine! Meadowpaw has her own way of sorting herbs - She sorts them by type, and the puts herbs that have a similar function by each other.

    IC :
"Ah, yes! " Meadowpaw scrambled over the herbs. "Let's see, goldenrod treats stiffness and severe injury...."

  • Two green irises were revealed in the darkness, widening to accommodate for the low-light conditions. A tortoiseshell coat arose with them, muscles showing under the thin, uneven coat. She slowly padded out of her nest, reveling in post sleep haze. Softclaw then lowered down to the vegetated floor, sitting down to clean her pelt, a trait she inherited from her vain mother. She carefully began to extract the bits of moss that were invading her otherwise smooth pelt, eyeing the rest of the clan in the process.

A couple deep blue orbs followed the figure leaving the nest nearby, still in a sleepy haze. The body of which they belonged to staggered up, shaking his pelt a couple times to stretch out. He closed his eyes and let out a silent opera of a yawn, with only the nearby trees as an audience. He snapped his jaws shut, then walked out to the freshkill pile, counting how many pieces of food they had, and estimating how long it would last them.

Shiverpaw, who was currently next to his brother, was currently occupied by Scorchedfeather's lasing tail. The older cat let out a soft growl, "You're a pain." Shiverpaw merely purred back, "Not as bad as you!"

  • Leafshine purred at the apprentice, she was doing so well in her training. SHe padded over to sit next to her apprentice, as she listed the herbs and sorted them Leafshines shone.

Sharp finished his meal, the tom then looked for a puddle or stream nearby. His mouth was dry, he scented the air for any signs of water nearby, he then began to wander, until he finally found a small, clear stream. he bent down to lap at the water- ah, that was refreshing. after his quick drink he followed the path he usually took to meet Meadowpaw, he was doing something he should have done long ago, for Aurorabreeze, he was joining his daughters and lost mates clan.

  • "Hmm, that should work." Meadowpaw blinked. "And finally, marigold for healing infections and sores!" Meadowpaw was proud of her work. She used to have trouble remembering everything. Her sorting system had helped her remember the uses of herbs.

Foreststar hopped off of the high rock, passing by the apprentice den. "Hello Wasppaw." The leader turned to the young apprentice. "How are you doing?"

  • "Great job Meadowpaw!'' Leafshine praised, giving her apprentice a friendly nuzzle. "Could you put all of them away now? I'll go get us something to eat" she mewed, getting up she padded over to the fresh-kill pile, picking out a plump vole she turned back to the medicine den.

Sharp finally reached the territory, sniffing the borders he hissed- the scent was fresh, a patrol wouldn't be coming by anytime soon. being the impatient tom he was, he crossed the border and broke into a run, following the scents until he finally reached the entrance to the camp. taking a deep breath he went in. In a heartbeat he found himself in the middle of Lucentclans camp, he gulped, he should have brought a piece of prey or something!

  • "Okay," Meadowpaw began to put the herbs away.

Foreststar turned to the unfamiliar cat and narrowed her eyes. "Just who are you?" She couldn't help noticing that he looked strikingly similar to Meadowpaw.

  • Leafshine looked out the medicine den to see Sharp, her eyes narrowed as she padded out beside her leader.

Sharp felt hisckles raise at her hostility, but he forced them down, he was a strange cat to them.. well most of them, his eyes searched for Meadowpaw "My name is Sharp" he said, wondering is he should tell them about his relations to this clan. "I-i'm meadowpaws father" he mewed.

  • Leafshine turned to look at the medicine den, she hurried back in "check if we have enough poppy seeds" she mewed to her apprentice.

Sharp shook his head "I have come in hopes to... join my daughter" he said, if only he had done this when he me Arurorapaw, she might not be dead. His eyes met FOreststars steadily, challenge was no where to be found in his gaze.

  • Meadowpaw nodded. "Let's see.... It's by the chamomile. I believe we have a few, but we might need some more soon."

Foreststar glanced at him. "I see." She thought a moment. "Very well. As long as Meadowpaw proves your claim, you will be allowed to join."

  • Meadowpaw nodded. Could it be that her father had come to see her? She dashed out into the clearing. "Father!" She nuzzled against Sharp.

"Well, it seems the rumor is true. Will you be taking on a warrior name?" Foreststar asked Sharp, glad to see Meadowpaw so overjoyed.

  • Leafshine watched the apprentice, sadness tugging at her heart, she was happy to see the apprentice happy though. Leafshine padded up to the group once more.

Sharp purred as he saw his daughter, he nuzzled her back affectionately. Looking at the leader he nodded "yes" he mewed, he wanted to blend in over time, and without a name like the rest of the clan cats, he wouldn't be able to do so.

  • "Alright." Foreststar leaped up onto the high rock and yowled, "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath he High Rock for a Clan meeting!"

The brother watched with weary eyes. Scorchedfeather looked rather unsettled, but Shiverpaw seemed more excited. When their leader called the meeting, the heterochromia eye cat sat near the back, but Shiverpaw sat close up, excited.

  • Leafshine padded to her spot as the medicine cat, her eyes narrowed at Sharp, she didn't trust him.

Sharp felt his heart beating, maybe the whole of lucent clan heard it. He had never been this nervous, he knew how the apprentices around here must feel.
