Evangeline nodded, tossing her phone back into the room before he closed the window. "There's a way to track me on it." She explained silently, in case he was wondering why she was leaving it. She was relieved that when he picked her up, the blanket was still trapped around her, due to the lack of coverage of her legs.

  • 'Good thinking, now let's go!' Death sprinted towards the forest, it seemed the police didn't notice that they had left yet. He hoped they wouldn't know until it was too late. 'I'm sorry for your apartment, we may not be able to return.'

Evangeline shook her head very slightly, "It's fine. As long as we're away from them..." She thought to him, shuddering slightly as her thoughts went back to the hospital.

  • 'Don't worry Evangeline. They will never touch you my dear. You have me reason to fear anything.' Death smiled when they reached the forest and he opened up the library. The doors closed behind them as they headed down the stairs.

Evangeline glanced up at Death as he spoke, although he did calm her down. "Thank you..." Her voice was soft again, as it had been after he had first saved it. She found it odd, how she had went from defiant towards him to get him to bring her back to life, to being comforted by him telling her that nobody would touch her. It was then that she realised he had called her 'my dear'. But after him keeping her safe for a second time, she didn't say anything.

  • "It's nothing, it's the least I can do." Death set Evangeline down once he reached the shelves. "We may have to stay down here for some time." He said, leading her over to a small lounge area in front of a fireplace. He sat on the couch and sighed. Atleast they were safe.

Evangeline followed him carefully, sitting next to him and pulling her blanket further around herself. "Alright." She agreed easily, something she was used to doing.

  • Death glanced over at Evangeline, finally realizing why she had a blanket. He looked away turning a little red. "I apologize, I didn't think about your state of dress." He muttered, finding the wall suddenly interesting.

Evangeline gained a bit of a blush as well, fiddling with the corner of her blanket. "I-it's fine... I should've gotten more dressed earlier. There wasn't time right now." She stuttered a bit, silently cursing as she did so, pulling her blanket tighter.

  • "I'll help you find some clothes when it's safe. You shouldn't have changed anyway if you were comfortable." Death replied, his face blush growing as Evangeline stuttered. Why was that so adorable to him?

"Thank you..." Her blush grew as she stuttered again, hating how embarrassed and shy it seemed to make her that he had realised she wasn't fully clothed. She didn't understand why his blush had made her blush so much.

Evangeline shrugged slightly, running a hand through her hair as a subtle way to make it cover her blush. "Maybe the doctors told them?" She asked, glancing a bit hesitantly at him.

Evangeline barely managed to keep her blush under control at that. "Oh... thank you..." She murmured softly, peering at him through her hair.

Evangeline did hear him, but she just assumed she was imagining it, which made her blush darken. She was beyond confused, and was really hoping their connection wasn't open due to the mix of thoughts going through her mind.

Evangeline bit her lip, brushing her hair out of her face once she was satisfied that her blush had faded enough. "I'm not sure." She admitted, looking at him curiously. "I've never talked to anyone who wasn't a human before you." She joked lightly.
