Revived! The young buccaneer was back on the beaches of his home. The hot coastal sun warmed the sand and the air was salty with ocean spray. He swiveled his single eye to view the beach. The old great pirate ship bobbed in passing waves by the shore and the jungles loomed in the distance beyond the beach. Wolfgate was surely gone now and a new captain would be in charge. Kidd would miss the grumpy tortie leader- as well as his old friends like…Aolani. Sigh, he would just have to make new ones. The short statured tom began to pad towards the pirate ship. With a powerful leap the trainee aimed to land upon the wooden side railing of the beauty, but the inexperienced youth aimed poorly.

With a startled grunt he flailed his forepaws frantically and managed to grab hold of a rope net hanging over the side of the vessel. A breath of relief left him and he climbed up the rope net with his claws until he reached his original destination. Sitting tall upon the side railing of the trainee called out to his crewmates in his high-pitched and scratchy voice. ”Ahoy! Skulls, it is I, Kidd. I have returned.” He waited for the crew to stir. To meet his new crewmates was exciting and to meet the new captain was exciting too.

The sound of an unfamiliar voice stirred Sel from her slumber, and she climbed to her paws and headed to the deck to see who was boarding her boat without prior permission. It seemed to be a returning member though, so she didn't bother getting worked up about it. "Welcome aboard, Kidd." She purred. "I'm Sel, mind if I ask your favorite color?" As she always did.
