  • Muse A and Muse B both have powers. They both live in a complex, built to be like an indoor town, meant to house people like them. It is complete with small apartments for each individual, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The thing is, everyone has to pay in some way to work there. The most common way is to work as an agent, having to fight and recruit people to protect the complex. They go on missions, some of them being peaceful, while others are violent. Each person who goes on missions is partnered up with someone, in order to make it easier for them.
Muse A and Muse B happen to be partners. Muse A is a more peaceful person, who doesn't seem to fit in with the whole agent thing. They don't like using their powers to hurt anyone, often trying to think their way out of a situation. Muse B is a lot more of a brute, often using their powers to fight. They don't seem to care if they hurt anyone, despite them still using their powers for good. They are quickly partnered up, briefly having to know each other before they start their first missions. As their missions go on, they begin to grow close and develop feelings for each other. They don't admit it, and the most they'll do is some flirting, hugging, etc. As they grow closer, something terrible strikes.
While the two are on a mission, they're captured by a group. This group plans on using the two's powers for their own selfish reason, as they do to everyone else they've caught. If they don't comply, they're often hurt, sometimes even injured to an inch of their own life. (This possibly happening more to muse a, considering they are less likely to use their powers for bad, causing muse b to be more protective of them.) The two grow closer through this, with their feelings for each other growing. Whenever they have time alone, they either spend it just talking, comforting each other, or planning a way out. They have to get out before they get killed.

Alrighty, so I just have a few requirements before you join. You need to be able to post a minimum of two paragraphs per post, otherwise, I'll lose interest. I'd appreciate it if you were active, but I'm not going to force you to do so if you can't post often. I'll also need you to play a male muse b. Sorry if that breaks your interest at all.
Anyways, I don't really have any specific rules, other than keeping this at a pg-13 level, and cussing is allowed, whether or not you censor it.
Anyways, It'd be appreciated if you fill out a form. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, and you can just use a template if you want to. It doesn't have to be completely advanced, but at least the basic personality traits, powers, age, name, etc. of the character are appreciated.
    My character:

Just jump into roleplaying, after you fill out your form. Please post a bit before the point I left off, as well as continuing from there. Explain how your character feels about getting a partner, getting missions, etc.

So, this was it. Rei was getting a partner. She was honestly surprised that this happened so quick. She got a message from the owner of this place about this. She was given her new partner's name, as well as where she'd be meeting him. Already, she was nervous about this. Rei knew she wasn't completely fit for missions, despite her training for fighting (specifically with weapons and her powers), since she did train in order to come here. She just wasn't completely fit for this whole situation. She didn't really have any other options.

Some butterflies fluttered around her, while others were on her shoulders and the table in front of her. She always had some following her around, unless she was asleep. She originally wanted to have them in formation of a crown, since it looked like a cute addition to her outfit, but she just couldn't manage to do that with her nerves. Besides, her partner would probably find it weird if she had a bunch of real butterflies on her head! She shifted in her chair slightly while she thought.

The girl had been told to wait at a cafe nearby the apartment she lived in. She had ordered a tea while she waited. She wondered how long her partner would take to get here. She sighed, taking a quick sip of her tea before putting it down again. Sighing, she looked down at her tea. One of the butterflies fluttered on top of the mug's handle, almost as if her sight had drawn it there. She was just moving them around while she was waiting. They never seemed to move a foot away from her, even when she wasn't completely controlling them. They seemed almost drawn to her, often coming to her even when she wasn't controlling them in the slightest.

Deciding to look up, Rei took a quick glance around the room. It wasn't exactly packed, but Rei happened to be the only person sitting alone. It was a telltale sign that she was the one that she was waiting to meet her new partner. She just didn't happen to see her partner yet. She glanced back down at her tea, picking up the mug. The butterfly on there remained stationary, while she took a sip of her drink. She put it back down, just staring at it by this point. She didn't notice that someone moved into the seat in front of her, seeming to be ready to talk to her.

  • Full Name: Samuel Lockely

Nicknames: Sam, Sammy, Lock, prefers Samuel

    Gender: Male

    Age: 25
    -Born January Third

Race: American (I don't know what else to put sorry!)

Powers: Samuel has telekinesis. He can lift almost anything that isn't nailed down, although he has been known to break bolts to lift things when he's in a fit of rage, without being anywhere near the object. The objects he lifts have a red aura lined around them as long as they're under his control. Some objects he can bend or sharpen.

Personality: Samuel is rather antisocial to everyone he meets, he's convinced he either won't have to deal with the person long or just won't care regardless. He has no problems with threatening and killing anyone he's told to or just gets in his way. He seeks to do his job the best he can as it's one of the only things he cares about. Although he never gets close to anyone he tends to be protective over things and people he's grown attached to.

History: Samuel's mother raised him single-handedly until he was eighteen years old. She kept his power secret for fear he would be taken away from her. His mother had to run errands for a local gang to support him and the gang decided to threaten her when she failed to work due to sickness. When Samuel arrived home after school to find his mother dead and the gang looting his house he went ballistic. After he had gotten rid of the gang he ran from the police for five years until they caught him and submitted him to an academy for "special" people like him.

Romance Preferences: Although he's never dated anyone before he prefers women. He's always felt attracted to people that are...softer than him. He secretly likes seeing a smile light up an adorable face and a light laugh that warms his heart that will be loyal to him.

Looks: Samuel is rather tall and pale yet slender and fills his form comfortably. At 6'0 his short black hair compliments his dark red eyes. He always seems to be thinking about something else, never really paying attention too much.

Samuel sighed as he headed down the street to the meeting location. Really, a partner?! He hated working with people! He didn't even need a partner, he had been training for years now all alone. He had completed missions without flaws or questions forever now!

He took a deep breath as he opened the door to the cafe. He quickly scanned the cafe until his gaze landed on a girl surrounded by...wait were those butterflies?! She seemed to fit the description he was given. 'Great...a girl with butterflies.' Samuel though, inwardly groaning as he walked towards her.

He sat down in the seat across from her, mentally preparing himself. Today was already going bad. "Rei Seung I presume?" He asked curiously, silently kicking himself for not just leaving.

  • Rei seemed pretty surprised to see Samuel - she hadn't really been paying attention to any of her surroundings. She wasn't expecting him to be here so soon. She looked up at him, the butterflies around her twitching a small bit - a sign of her being nervous.

"Uh, yeah - yes!" she replied, speaking rather quickly. "And you're Samuel?" she asked, just to check. It wasn't like he could possibly be anyone else, but it was always good to just ask. It was also pretty obvious she was nervous, due to her voice. She was just hoping that this wouldn't make her seem like she'd be a weak partner - she already knew she looked out of place among the agents.

  • 'Very nervous isn't she? Hm, cute.' Samuel thought to himself before nodding. "Samuel Lockely, in the flesh." He said, deciding to play nice for now. They would be working together for awhile. She didn't look too impressive.

"I apologize if I kept you waiting Rei, I had to finish up a mission last night and I didn't get much sleep since then." He said, hoping to calm the girl down. It wasn't necessarily a lie but it wasn't the whole truth either. Not that she'd ever know.

  • "Oh - it's fine," Rei replied, doing her best to calm down. It'd probably take her a few minutes before she'd stop being as nervous as she was. She just decided to give him a friendly smile, as if to just reassure that she was alright. The butterflies around her still betrayed the emotions that she was showing.

"I think I got here early anyway," she added. Rei, in fact, did get here around twenty or thirty minutes than she planned. She just got ready so quick that she rushed over. She partially blamed her nerves - they always made her rush when she had to do something.

  • "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Rei. I've read a little about you from your file. Your animal control is very unique." Samuel said, hoping to get to know Rei better. He didn't think getting along with her would be too bad based on the meeting so far.

He noticed that the butterflies still seemed nervous, meaning Rei might be too. An interesting bond they had. "What's it like to be connected to animals like you are?" He asked curiously.

  • "Well, it's nice to meet you too!" she responded. Although the butterflies around her still fidgeted, she showed some signs of calming down slightly. So far, her partner didn't seem too bad. Hopefully she'd be able to get along with him in the future. She kinda feared having to put up with a partner that she wouldn't get along with. It'd only make her job harder than it already was.

"Uh, well, it's pretty nice. I don't really know how to put it into words. It's just... relaxing. I feel safe... and happy with animals - I can even feel some of their emotions, too. It's kind of like getting to know a person," she replied, relaxing slightly. Not a lot of people actually asked Rei about her abilities or how she felt about them. Rei honestly loved her abilities. They made her feel so connected with everything, even if she spent most of the time just having butterflies around her. Even at this point, animals would just come up to her without her having to control them. Nature just seemed drawn to her and she loved it.

//Hey, I'm really sorry for the late reply. I kinda lost muse for this, but I finally got it back up for the most part. Sorry again about that!

  • ooc: It's alright, trust me I know how you feel! ;)

"Fascinating. You certainly have very interesting powers Rei." Samuel said, a slight smile edging it's way onto his face. Maybe he'd like this partnership more than he thought. "I posses the ability of telekinesis. Things move however I want them to, even people sometimes."

He was only half joking about that last part. Things did tend to get...messy when it came to extracting information. It's not like it was his fault! "So, what's your story then? You don't seem like the type that enjoys missions. Well, if your missions are anything like mine anyway." Samuel asked curiously. Rei seemed much too...innocent for a life like this.
