This place seemed like a nice one. Plenty of space to run; for Lynae, that was one of the things that was important. She wanted a place to stay that would allow the two to be healthy, and preferably live away from others. It was what Naomi wanted; the Cheetah wasn't going to decide anything without her girlfriend having a say in it. Coming to a stop near the border, she gave the area in front of her a stare, pale eyes looking for any sign of life. Heaving a quiet sight, she gave up, instead turning and waiting on Naomi to arrive. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too much longer before the tiger reached the border as well.

(Please wait on @naomi ! to post first.)

Naomi and Lynae were far from alike. The tiger was a burning fire, always angry and ready to burst. Vulgar and destructive. Lynae was calm like a trickling river, a soft rainstorm. A calming beacon. Yet, while Naomi couldn't keep calm, that didn't mean she liked the constant burning she was. But water could put out a fire, and perhaps that's why Naomi loved Lynae, and would agree to join a clan with her.

The tigress came up beside the cheetah, seemingly tired from however long the journey was. "I get you're a cheetah and all, but you don't have to go so fuggin' fast all the time," she growled out, snarl on her maw. But her red eyes were smiling, giving away the playful meaning behind the words.

  • Considering that not too long ago a joiner had came rather mangled up, Atticus was hanging around the borders much more often than usual just in case more newcomers would come by all banged up. He hated to see joiners brought up in such a way, but often times it was what had to be faced in reality. Hearing voices and foreign smells in the distance the medic's slow strides upon the grass would quicken into a bouncy trot. Double joiners? Or were they here to deliver messages from another clan. Surely they did not smell like any clan but the dalmatian refrained from assumptions. As he pushed pass some bushes, green eyes rested upon the frame of the Cheetah and the Tiger just in time to hear the tigress complain. It was a good thing she didn't fully curse for Atticus would have probably commented on it. Instead, the emdic gave the two a welcoming smile before greeting them
"Hello, are you here to join?"
The man asked with a cock of his head to enforce a questionable nature to his words.

  • [fancypost=border-width:0; width: 470px; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify;]Naomi blinked, taking her time bringing her attention to Atticus. It took her a few seconds to register the question, as she wasn't really paying him her full attention. After a moment, Naomi had to bite back a very sarcastic remark, wanting to spare the WindClanner; at least in front of Lynae, who the tiger was always subconsciously impress.

So after a small amount of thought, the fem left Atticus with a short nod and a quick, "yes."

They haven't welcomed joiners in ages, but it's beenn a while since there've been joiners who have neglected to give their names. And when there was, they weren't one of the first ones there. In truth, there were rarely there first, so this was actually a little bit surprising. But, still ... "U-Um ... Welcome. I'm Solardust." They offer, kicking at the dirt with a long leg. They're just about ready to flee or something, but that's honestly super counter productive to their recent attempts. "U-Um ... What're your names ?" They ask, shakily. They haven't had to ask that until now, despite their long time in the clans. Odd.

Lynae was right. She didn't have to wait long for the tiger, who seemed tired from all the walking the two had done. Lynae was tired as well, but they were so close to being able to rest soon. At Naomi's words, a small smile appeared on Lynae's jaw as she glanced over and took notice of the playful light. "Maybe you're just slow." Her voice was light, joking; well, as much as it could be. "We'll be able to rest soon." She promised, small smile fading into the regular, stony face that she wore most of the time. At the words, she opened her jaws to speak, but Naomi beat her to it. Another smile threatening to twitch at her jaws, she attempted to lean over so she was against Naomi. It was a sign of affection, a slight one, but still major for the fact that she was conscious around the strangers. "I'm Lynae." She stopped, allowing Naomi the chance to give her name.

  • Naomi offered a huff in response, obviously not wanting to risk a play fight in public. While she didn't care for reputations, as she always tended to ruin them with her naturally intense nature that could make most uncomfortable, Naomi didn't want to ruin Lynae and her first impression. So when Solardust introduced herself(and, unbeknownst to the tiger, Naomi's nose crinkled in slight disgust at the eccentric name) and then asked for the couple's name, Naomi tried to answer as casually as possible. "My name's Naomi," she rumbled, before rolling her shoulders, imagining how it would feel to finally lay down.
When Lynae leaned slightly against the her, the tiger's eyes went wide out of slight surprise before they relaxed again, not wanting to show that much of a reaction to what others could perceive as a simple gesture. Naomi just hoped that the only one who noticed her tail brush against the cheetah's flank was Lynae herself.

  • Green eyes resting over the frames of the two women, Attie would note that the two seemed rather close and fond of each other. The way Lynae pressed up against Naomi reminded the man of himself and Henry when they exchanged affections. The man, however, wasn't going to comment on anything, he'd only smile as the two took turns to introduce themselves.
Lynae and Naomi, mouthing the names the Dalmatian would think that those are very beautiful titles. He bowed his head over towards the couple before introducing himself and his rank.
"I'm Atticus, the medic here." The man would say, a Southern accent laying only faintly against his tongue as he spoke to the newcomers. Knowing that they were here to join he raised a paw to beckon them over as he added:
"[Would you like a tour? Or directions to camp at least?"

Lynae didn't fail to notice how Naomi's eyes went wide at the slight movement, and hoped that the others hadn't noticed it. The taller feline introduced herself calmly, and Lynae couldn't hide the small grin that went across her jaw. She noticed the tail brushing against her flank, but she only cast Naomi a stare, only to turn to the Dalmatian as he spoke. A tour? Directions to camp would be a go, she knew, but she would have to see what Naomi thought of a tour. Lowering her voice, she aimed her words toward the tigress. "What do you think of the tour?"

// my last post and this one are v mobile & ninja'd

A medic, huh? Naomi raised her fictional eyebrow, her face remaining unamused otherwise. The tiger could never be a medic, not now and not ever. Medics were soothing and calm, helpful. Naomi could never soothe anyone, only the opposite. It slightly impressed her when people had what it took to help those in need.

"Does it ever get bloody around here?" Naomi asked, the words falling out with no thought. It was a genuine question, no disgusted snarl, no hopeful glint in her eyes. She just wanted to know the answer.

To Atticus's question, Naomi turned to look at Lynae, before turning her red gaze back to the Dalmatian. After a shrug she purred out, "it's up to the pretty lady."

Naomi shrugged her broad shoulders before letting out a low mumble, something along the lines of 'tour to the nearest rest stop'.

  • Chai

half lives filled on hand written pages

    [fancypost=background: white; width: 100%; height: 1px;]

    [align=justify][center]text. "speech." thought.

Chai scurried up so that he was standing next to Atticus, the male seemed so big to the tiny chipmunk, but Chai didn't care, he liked him, he was cool, he was everything that Chai wanted in a friend... though Atticus might not consider them friends, he had not eaten Chai, and that was the first step in a good friendship! The small animal's nose wiggled cheerfully and he looked up at the two joiners, ooh more members, that was like awesome! Maybe they had shiny things that he could borrow? "Hi! I'm Chai." The chipmunk introduced itself ecstatically. His tiny tail twitched and he looked up in adoration at Atticus, before turning his attention back to Lynae and Naomi, "What's your names?" He added, having not been there to hear them introduce themselves.

  • Atticus let his gaze remain upon the frame of Lynae, however, she didn't seem to come up with a clear response. So, he would direct his attention over to Naomi and wait for her to speak. He was rather surprised to hear the comment come from the woman, it was probably obvious in his face. He blinked, wide-eyed but was quick to clear his throat and give the tigress the answer which she desired
"Bloody? Well... Uh, no? We try ta avoid combat ever since we got in a war with Shadowclan." The medic would say before looking away with a somewhat broken expression.
The war with Shadowclan, he hated to think of it. Luna had beaten him into a pulp within that combat, she had taken his husband and mangled him to the point of no return. It was so long ago but he couldn't forgive the warlord. Lifting his head he'd wipe the solemn look off his face as Chai approached. He overed the little rodent a kind smile before waiting for the two women to decide on a tour or not.

Naomi's roleplayer realized that maybe she shouldn't leave such an awkward hole in the thread and maybe reply, giving something for the others to go off of. So the large tiger blinked as Atticus looked off, awfully distraught after mentioning some type of war with another clan. A war, huh? Seemed awful, especially with the way the medic reacted. Yet, Naomi couldn't help but feel satisfied that she and Lynae hadn't been there to witness it. They had joined so they'd finally be able to sit down in one place, enjoy each other's company and calm down a bit, something a war would've prevented.

"Ah," Naomi sighed, looking away from the medic. She just didn't want to see his hurt expression anymore, guilt settling in her chest. The feline was angry with herself and the insensitive question she had asked, mentally scolding herself for not think before she spoke. Yet, despite how guilty Naomi was, he thought of an apology never crossed her mind.

Instead, she turned to the small talking off-limits meal; the clanmate shocked the tiger as he asked for her name. Naomi didn't express it though, as she answered his question without missing a beat. "Naomi. My name's Naomi. The pretty lady beside me is Lynae," she explained causally, head tilted down to look at the tiny creature for only a second before moving on.

Finally, she answered the question at hand that should've been answered much earlier. "I would like directions to the nearest place to rest. I think Lynae would too, if I'm not mistaken." The tiger's red eyes glanced around at the three that had shown up, attempting to get used to the sight of them. It was more than likely that she would be seeing these three, and more, around often.

Naomi's question to the medic even caught Lynae off guard. At his words, and the broken expression, Lynae sent a glance at Naomi; just how bad had this war been? And would anything like it happen again? Naomi's next words, and the muttered ones, were enough to prompt the feline, and she was about to say that they just go rest when a rather odd creature appeared. Or, not odd, really; it was just strange, seeing a chipmunk if all things running around. Closing her jaws, she cleared her throat awkwardly, embarrassment causing her cheeks to heat up. At least the others wouldn't be able to tell she was embarrassed. At Naomi's words, she nodded. "Yeah. We can always take a tour later."

  • Hearing that the couple simply wanted to rest, Atticus was more than willing to guide them to the area which they would find such a locating. Turning on his heels the male would point his muzzle to the opposite way in which he came in, his black nose pointing by a slope in one of the distant peaks.
"Head that way and you'll find camp." The Virginian advised with a nod of his head before further explaining what the two should be looking for.
"The village is built along a cliff edge, keep headin' that way an' you'll see it."

  • [fancypost=border-width:0; width: 470px; font-size: 8.5pt; text-align: justify;]
Naomi looked in the direction that Atticus pointed his muzzle, squinting to try and get a better look at whatever she could see before nodding to herself. She was thankful that he hadn't given them a bunch of lefts and rights and 'turn this way' or 'you'll see a tree with three branches' as she would never be able to keep up. A cliff though, that was an easy thing to remember when it came to finding something. If she forgot that, well, someone might as well throw her off it. After a moment, the tiger let out a huff. "Mhm, can't wait to get lost as hell," she sighed to nobody in particular.

Naomi raised a large paw to scratch at her ear, causing the multiple piercings to clink and rattle against each other, before standing up. The big cat started to walk towards the given direction, a mix of waiting for Lynae and fatigue slowing her down.

Well, at least they knew where camp was. Pale blue gaze following where the other had pointed, she nodded. Alright, now the two could find a place to rest. As Naomi walked towards the place they were supposed to look for, Lynae gave the others a nod before following, resisting the urge to yawn. It wasn't only until she was turned away from the others that she did, pace slowing for a moment. Then when the yawn escaped her, she picked up the pace, following near Naomi, towards her side. Offering the other a smile, she spoke. "We're almost done walking, at least."
