  • Seb was woken abruptly, torn suddenly from the restful sleep and warmth. He raised his head slower then he should have rubbing groggy eyes. Then Rhys was gone and Seb was up, he straightened himself up quickly the berated himself for being a fool and taking care of his looks. He could hear the other kicking out the fire. He rushed out of the tent and again was foolish as the other nights event came back to him and he blushed as soon as he lay eyes on the Rhys. He ducked his head and made his way to the horses. "Do you know who it is... what it is?" Who could tell in these woods?

He grabbed the bags and whatever else was around the camp packing it away quickly. He closed the saddle bags and started to saddle the horses, it wasn't the neatest or fastest tacking but he got it done and quickly untied them. He waited for Rhys to do whatever he felt was needed before they left. His heart was racing in the chest. What it could be was more terrifying then the idea he was getting scared over nothing. "I'll feel safer staying in that village tonight." He mumbled, but loud enough for Rhys to hear. He mounted his horse and waited for Rhys to mount his, turning in the direction they would escape towards.

  • [OK I GOT SIDETRACKED IM HERE LETS GO TOTALLY WINGING THIS SCENE I DIDNT PLAN IT AHEAD]

Rhys shook his head at the question, quickly using magic to take down the tent and strap it back up to the horse. "Humans. My barriers don't sense animals," he explained and once everything was set he mounted his horse and then got his bow out and ready just in case. There was the sound of hooves and someone coming through the brush and Rhys quickly kicked his horse into a sprint through the trees, and he glanced back to make sure Seb was with him. Once that was confirmed he continued the horse at the speed it was at, distancing themselves from whoever it was. There was a high chance it was the group Seb recognized the night before. That was what Rhys assumed and he didn't want to take any chances, so he bolted.

Rhys eventually slowed his horse down so it could relax, they were most likely far enough away now and hopefully had lost whoever it was. It also could have been anyone just passing through the path in the woods like them, but Rhys just didn't want to take any chances. The less people they ran into the better off they would be , and the quicker they would reach their destination. "We'll make it to a village tonight. Though I can't promise this is the last time we'll have to camp in the woods," he chuckled and then reached up to run a hand through his hair, letting out a small sigh of relief.

"Anyways, good morning. How did you sleep?" Rhys gave him a small, smirk, trying to tease him about how close he'd been the night before.

  • Seb was forced to race after Rhys and did so without hesitation. They dashed through the tree's and Seb was forced to duck and avoid the branch glancing blows. He didn't look back to see who was chasing them, the sound of their footsteps quickly drowned out by his own dappled stallions thundering ones. Soon they began to slows and as they did Sebastion felt himself relaxing and he sat up straighter on his horse. He let out a sigh of relief, still not used to the sudden life-or-death excitement that this journey was throwing at him. Seb watched as Rhys put his hand through his hair and forced the urge to tackle the man and pin him down, it came back to him as Rhys asked what he had done the night before. He felt his face light up crimson.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know why I, or I have a big bed back at the castle and I'm not used to limited space." He stuttered out a jumbled reply. When he was done he let a jovial smile come back to his face. "Did you mind though?" He asked smoothly and drew his horse closer to Rhys's.

    //welcome back!! haha

  • [lol thanks]

Rhys couldn't help but have a bit of a smirk on his face as Seb's face reddened at his words. His response was also quite amusing for the young magician. Although his smile dropped as Seb asked Rhys if he minded. He cleared his throats and glanced away with a small shrug. "I um-" he didn't exactly know how to explain this. "I didn't, last night," he said. "But it's probably best it doesn't happen again. I know I remind you of your lover - and I don't want to hurt you. We should keep things professional for the remainder of our journey," he smiled politely and then started his horse back up again to a trot. "We should keep going," he murmured and then continued along through the woods, heading towards their next stopping point - a small village called Hillreach.

However, it was a couple of hours later when Rhys was about to stop when an arrow whizzed by his ear. He glanced back immediately and saw a rider between the trees - black armor , but not of the group they saw before. How had they already found the two of them? Rhys started moving, having his horse go forwards while drawing his own bow and shooting in the direction. "Keep moving and keep alert!" he ordered Sebastion, motioning for him to have his horse going forwards. Rhys continued to shoot back, seeing another rider also , but with a sword in hand, riding straight for Seb while the other loaded arrows at Rhys - he chose to not use magic and instead dodge. He had a feeling if they found out he could use magic, they'd be in trouble.

  • Seb frowned as Rhys told him they shouldn't do it again. Because of Yugoutus! My fake boyfriend has done me in with the real one! "My former lover forgot me, remember, so unless you suddenly forget me then you two are going to be completely separate in my mind. But if you believe thing should remain professional for the remainder I will indulge you." Seb found himself desperately hoping the college had some way to cure this. And how had he managed to fall in love with the one person who would refuse the advances of a prince.

They continued riding and Seb began to distract himself from the slow and bland ride by braiding his horses hair. He had down quite a few when he found his hand straying to his own, the mark gave off a soft warmth at the touch and Seb looked towards Rhys curiously, only to see a red feathered arrow fly a inch from the others head. Seb yelped and spurred his horse after Rhys who was loosing arrows as fast as he could. Seb was quick to draw his sword and shift in his seat. He was just in time to see another black night striding towards him on an intimidating black horse.

Seb had trained in horse back combat and so had the other knight, luckily Seb ranked over the knight skills in several regards and in fluid movement Seb had lashed out with his sword and the black knight fell lifelessly from his horse. Seb shifted back to face forward and followed quickly by Rhys, he over took a spot beside the other and waited from him to finish off his pursuer. Regardless of whether Rhys had taken the man out or not Seb watched as three more knights came crashing out of the trees to their left, Seb hand snapped and grabbed the reins of Rhys horse so they wouldn't run into each other. They had turned away from the village.

Seb slowed his horse now, leaving Rhys to lead ahead of the knight and dropped back to engage in sword play with the armored men. It was quick to became a flurry of clashing blades and Seb was extremely glad at the strength of the sword that Rhys had made. He dismounted one knight and found himself hissing in pain as their sword cut into his leg when they fell, more an annoyance then a injury though. He turned to the next knight, there were three knight left.

  • Seb didn't seem to be happy with his request, but Rhys knew it was for the best. "You keep telling that to yourself..." he mumbled quietly, only because he saw sometimes how Seb looked at him. Something was there, and Rhys had a feeling if he let the prince start to like him, they'd be going down a road. And Rhys had an odd feeling in his gut that something was the matter and something wasn't right with his life. Until he figured out what that was, he didn't want to make any commitments to someone.

Anyways,he glanced in Seb's direction, when he grabbed his reins to keep from crashing. Then he continued on to focus on the archer loading arrows. Rhys continued to dodge the arrows until the archer stupidly ran out. He saw him reach for daggers but it was too late. Rhys got him in the neck and he went down, his horse running off into the woods with the dead body falling to the ground. Rhys turned to see Seb finish off his attacker, though saw he'd been stabbed. Seb seemed alright , so Rhys would heal him later. Three more knights were on the way and Rhys growled, putting his bow away and unsheating the dual swords he had strapped to his back and charged the three. He cut down the first one fairly easily, his rage at the inconvenience of all of this controlling him. The second knight managed to knock Rhys off his horse, but he righted himself quickly and dodged the man trying to run him over. He hoped Sebastion was coming, he had handled the other man well.

  • Seb saw Rhys go down from his saddle and his heart skipped a beat. The he was back up on his feet and Seb was already rushing to his side. He flew past Rhys and raised his sword narrowing in on the other rider. With a passionate fury he dismounted and beheaded the knight who had come so close to running Rhys over. Next he turned the surge of adrenaline on the last knight and after seeing all his comrades killed their spirit seemed a little tamer. Sadly that spilled out his demise as Seb's fury took over and the clash of their swords rang out less then the sound of steel cutting flesh. The cut he mad on Seb cheek was returned in tenfold until the man in black armor sunk down on his horse, finally collapsing to the ground.

Seb retrieved Rhys horse and quickly lead it back over to Rhys. He knew that it would be best for them to leave immediately but his worry had given him a one-track mind. He dismounted and rushed over to Rhys. "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere's? Did you get hurt from the fall, how are your legs? That archer didn't get you did he?" Seb took hold of the other shoulders as he scanned the other for injuries. He chuckled at himself, "I'm a worrier when it comes to people I care about."

Seb looked off at where the knights had arrived from and noted that they most likely knew where they were going as well. "It might be better if we change our routes. We could go through the mountain caves, more direct but also more dangerous. Whatever we do we'll need to keep moving, maybe loot the bodies to see if they have anything useful?"

  • Rhys had been about to turn and fight the man who'd nearly run him down, but Seb flew in on his horse, cutting off ones head and then overpowered the third and final knight. Sebastion was amazing - Rhys stared, impressed at his skills. He must have had some extremely great teachers at the palace. Rhys could say Seb was nearly as good as him - nearly though. The sorcerer was skilled in various types of combat and was very good at killing. Anywho, his arm hurt a bit from falling over on it , but he was fine for the most part, a little aloof as Sebastion rushed over, worrying about him. Rhys focused then, starting at the Prince in confusion.

"I'm fine. I've fallen off of horses before, I know how to land," Rhys's eyes trailed over the scratch on Seb's cheek, down to where he'd been stabbed in the leg. Rhys took one of the man's hands off of his shoulder, letting some of his magic transfer to the other man to heal the cuts for him, so that they could continue without Seb bleeding to death. Rhys then quickly dropped his hand before he could think about the feeling that had brought him, being in contact. "You've known me two days. You can't possible care for me already," he frowned, but then glanced around at the men's bodies.

"Quickly loot them for any money or medicine, even food if they've got it. Then we'll change course," Rhys said and then started looting the men's bodies. He found a flask of alcohol on one, and Rhys grinned, tucking that into his pocket, before finding a few bags of coins on them. No medicine though and the horses had run off a bit too far and were too spooked to return. "I'm all set what did you find?" he asked as he mounted his horse.

  • Seb felt his cheeks grow hot as Rhys brushed off his worry. He knew Rhys could take care of himself and as the hand lay on his shoulder and he felt the warm and familiar rush of magic go through his body and heal the small injuries he realized that Rhys took care of him too. He buried his feeling of inadequacy and listened to Rhys as he spoke. "Has it only been two day? Feels like much more to me an din the court you never see someone for long anyways. You have to make friendships fast." He said cheerfully, trying to cover up the meaning his words had actually held.

Seb looted the bodies nearest to him taking coins, a small blue vial (which was either poison or medicine and Seb wasn't going to find out anytime soon) and a blue river stone that Seb left behind. He mumbled a quick prayer for fallen soldiers more out of habit then any sort of religiousness before returning to his horse. He mounted it and showed the coin purses and the small vial to Rhys before putting them in his saddle bag. "A small sum of coin and this vial of whatever. The blue was pretty..." he trailed off not wanting to seem frivolous. "What about you, anything good?"

sunsetcurve I totally get if you drop this now (I'm sorry I disappeared on you) so if you do just pm me if you ever want to plot again you are legit that best RPer I've roleplayed with so haha don't hate me

  • [no I won't drop! I'm so bored I have like two threads on here]

Rhys kind of stared at Seb for a moment, confusion surrounding him. He just couldn't fathom how Sebastion could care for him so easily. Was it because Rhys showed him compassion? That was just how he was..good hearted and loyal for the most part. "You've got an explanation for everything, don't you?" was all he had replied at that moment before going off to collect things from the fallen men.

When Seb returned with his findings, he grew curious. "Can I see the vial before you use it mistakenly?" he asked with a chuckle. "I found some alcohol and coins. Money to replace all that you spent," he teased, though he wasn't terribly concerned about coin. They had plenty, and where they were going after they hit the mages town, they weren't really going to need money. Just luck on surviving. "I'll look at the vial later. Let's just get moving along," he said and turned his horse onto taking the long way around, falling into a bit of a silence.

[maybe we can either skip to them getting to the town to stay in overnight or just get to the mages city]

  • Seb handed the vial to Rhys with a pout, "I wouldn't use it unless it was an emergency." He realized that depending on the type of emergency the vial would probably be really helpful or deadly, so in turn his statement made it clear he shouldn't have his hands on such a mystery. He twisted in his saddle and started to lead his horse onward. He perked when Rhys spoke about alcohol.

"Me and you should have some fun when we get to the mages city, all this killing gives me the chills." It didn't really, he just didn't like to admit that he could slaughter three men and drink happily within the same day. His indifference was what gave him the chills. "And you can't complain about me spending money and looking good with all the staring you've been doing!" Seb had no idea if Rhys had looked even once but he enjoyed the casual banter.

He turned his horse down the path towards the mages city and felt the excitement catching up to him. Each step was one closer to Rhys's memories. He hands went to the mark behind his ear and he turned in his saddle to look at Rhys. He wondered if the mark caused Rhys to feel anything, its presence was constant to Seb and he had felt its warmth more then once. He had once been told by a travelling sorcerer that it marked him and protected him from other magic users, he had also said that whoever had marked him was incredibly strong. He had always enjoyed showing off the mark and for the one hundredth time wished to cut his hair short again.

Seb realized he had been staring at Rhys for a while and opened his mouth to give an excuse. Remembering Rhys earlier statement about explanations he clamped it shut and turned around on his horse. "We're almost to Serki."

//Yeah we should skip to the mages city since most of the plot gets kickstarted there anyway

  • [okay!!! Yeah I was thinking maybe Rhys finds out the truth , bc of the Mark maybe ?? but then we said he wouldn't remember it until later on but at least we could cause some angst mwahha]

Rhys glanced at the vial briefly, and even gave it a snif. "Antidote for snake poison. Guess the men were being cautious. There are snakes around here," he said and then pocketed it. There were snakes in the mountains too, and Rhys had a feeling they'd be going there, so that meant at least the antidote would come in handy if something happened to one of them. Rhys had rolled his eyes at the comment about him staring. "In your dreams, your highness," he teased back, before following along, in a bit of a better mood than before. Sure he had just killed some men but, Rhys had killed many before that. At this point it didn't phase him anymore. He wondered if Sebastion had killed anyone before - sometimes the life of royalty was rather sheltered. He hoped Sebastion would be okay, but Rhys was coming to learn he was a fairly strong man, mentally. The Prince had been through a lot just recently and he was still able to smile and joke and be cheerful. Rhys couldn't say he'd be the same if he went through what Seb was going through.

Rhys had stolen a few looks along the way in the other man's direction, mostly checking to see if he was alright. The Prince kept touching a spot behind his ear, and it made Rhys curious, but he didn't ask. He glanced ahead when Seb announced they were almost there, and Rhys spurred his horse a bit faster until they crested a hill - and there it was. Rhys couldn't help but let out a gasp of awe....the city was the most beautiful he'd seen. The buildings were practically sparking, and everything was so colorful! Rhys could hear laughter, saw kids playing with their magic in the streets - he could even feel the magic. Rhys quickly headed down the slope and down to the gates of the city, where mage guards stood to protect it. "Greetings," he nodded to them.

"And whom wishes to enter Serki?" The guard asked, while others came to examine their horses, using magic to search for any potential threats, Rhys assumed.

"I am Rhysand Ambrose, and this is my companion. We seek knowledge to aid us on our quest," Rhys decided to leave it at that, since he was sure if they knew what they really sought, they wouldn't be allowed entry right then and wouldn't get the information they needed. Rhys hoped his name though, would be enough to spark some recognition. Ambrose were one of the oldest mage houses. He was currently one of three Ambrose mages left. The others being distant cousins he'd only met once.

The guard did recognize the name and he peeked up, blinking. "One moment please," he went into the little guard house for a moment, and then the gates swung open and the two of them were allowed into the city. Rhys glanced back at Seb with a grin before leading his horse in. They entered into a semi- busy street with vendors to the side, other people wandering and milling about. Some glanced over at the newcomers and Rhys's eyes darted over everything, taking it all in.

  • Seb was amazed by the cities beauty, even though he had seen it in passing once or twice he and his father were not on good enough terms with this kingdom to visit the cities for the sake of admiration. He was caught off guard by the though of his father bringing back the familiar ache. His father wouldn't get the chance to visit these cities with him ever again.

He felt a strange tingle where the mark was as they approached the city, as if the protective magic was probing the magic that Seb guessed was in the air of the mages city. Seb couldn't feel it at all. As the approached the guard he just listened to Rhys explain everything. Vague but with the name drop there it had brought an excellent expression to the guards face.

The mark stopped whatever it had been doing by the time they reached the gates and Seb unconsciously rubbed it to try and get the feeling to fade away faster. He forgot about it as soon as they entered the streets of the city and were greeted by the hustle and bustle reminiscent of his own home. He found himself looking for his castle even as he berated himself for being foolish. His eyes did find the spiraling white towers of the collage though.

The towers were connected to a large circular building that only the top floor was visible from the city entrance. The dark purple flags with a magic design Seb didn't recognize were attached to each tower. Seb had a feeling that entering the college would not be as touch and go as he had first though? Would they even be allowed into the library to do the research they needed?

Seb was still lost in thought when the mark acted up again, this time not to the magic in the air but more sharply to a presence. The man had his eyes settled on Seb, who moved his horse as step closer to Rhys as he met the mans eyes. The man then turned to eye Rhys and seemingly surprised at what he saw turned away quickly and hurried down the street. Seb wondered if he had sensed the taste of the mark and the power of Rhys as one in the same. He hurriedly turned away himself and urged his horse just slightly faster in the busy streets.

"We should probably rent a room first to put all our stuff in before we check out the college." Seb spoke up as he turned a corner randomly. He was a little shocked to see a young child playing around with a mage light. The sight of such blatant use of magic in city streets was still unfamiliar to Seb, although he had grown used to seeing Rhys preform menial tasks with magic he was surprised at how often other doing it caught him off guard. Since Seb's father had been one of the kings who ruled during an age where magic user were hunted Sebs kingdom had become one that the gifted often avoided.

Even though the open prosecution based on the simple act of having magic had been stopped sorcerers certainly didn't flock to the testily open gates. Seb tried too quickly mask the shock at the sudden realization that he was surrounded by so many people with powers. The mark, oh so familiar and constant quickly quelled his worries. It was a gift from the old Rhys. Seb didn't look back to Rhys as he spoke this time, "so while we search for a tavern can I ask you something? Why does your family name have such weight? Ambrose."

He tested the name on his tongue and then in his head like a foolish girl, Sebastion Ambrose. He almost laughed at the thought- Rhys would have to take his name if they didn't decide to keep their own, or share.

In that moment he was pretending he wasn't aware that marrying Rhys was impossible any way, especially while Rhys memory remained in such a state/

//angst!! it could be that he sees the mark but Seb won't tell him where he got it because he is worried that Rhys will be hurt by remembering. He could start to remember little by little from then on to draw things out. He could get the memories back in dreams and flashbacks when he sees something that reminds him of the past.

and I didn't know how to fit this into my post but Seb went with his father before to experience real battle so his kill count is low but he had seen enough death to be unfazed by it in the beginning, though to many and a lot of gore still upsets him some and he isn't capable of watching an execution anymore.

  • [hmmm I can work with that. and okay!!]

Rhys wanted to hop off his horse and just wander through the streets of the beautiful city. Why had he never thought of coming here? He'd been miserable in that little village, almost as if he'd been waiting for adventure, and then Seb showed up and here he was. Maybe after this was all over, he'd come here. Live with his people. He missed the sight of people being comfortable with magic. It had been so long...his heart ached.

He glanced toward Seb to see how he was reacting to all of this, and he couldn't really tell what the prince was feeling. At one point some man came up to them, gave Rhys an odd look at the both of them before hurrying off. "Perhaps they must not be terribly fond of strangers?" he asked with a bit of a chuckle. "Ah yes we can find an inn," he agreed with a nod and then moved his horse forwards slowly, avoiding people as best as he could but most were smart and moved out of the way.

"I believe I told you I come from very powerful parents," Rhys said. "My fathers side, the Ambrose's, were involved with politics and wars years and years ago. They had some of the strongest magic out of the sorcerers. My mother was from a powerful line too - the Archer's. So my family's just well known for both political status and power. Most of us were killed off during well, the last war with humans," he frowned, thinking of his mom and dad. "There are only few Archer's and Ambrose's left," he explained as best he could.

Rhys was about to motion to an inn above when he heard someone calling his name. From a fancy looking building emerged an old lady, dressed in fancy fancy robes. "Rhysand!" she hurried over excitedly. Rhys blinked before grinning and slipping off his horse, meeting the old lady as she came over and hugged him fiercely. "I almost didn't know if it was you, oh my how you've grown. You look just like your father," the old lady said as she held his face to look at him. Rhys looked sad for a moment but then regained himself. "It's good to see you too Greta. I had no idea you were alive..." he murmured, trailing off. He'd had no idea who lived through the massacare in his town. Greta was a family friend, like a grandma to him all his life. Greta turned and glanced to Seb, finally noticing him. She sensed the mark as well and glanced back and forth but said nothing, "Who've you got here?" she asked, squinting her eyes.

Rhysand nodded and glanced over. "My traveling companion," he still wasn't sure if he should say his name, he didn't want to scare the people of the village and think badly of him. But Seb was not how his father was regarding magic. Rhys could tell. "We're here for some research, we'd like to visit the library at the college," he explained.

Greta raised an eyebrow. "I don't know if I like the sound of that...but I happen to be one of the old hags running this place, I'm sure I can pull a few strings. But come! Come along I'm sure you're both exhausted from your travels, and I've got plenty of room in the castle for you," she motioned straight ahead to a very big and shiny structure white with gold domes. The "castle" though it was more of a town hall, as no king ruled here, just a handful of council members. Rhys nodded and turned to Seb. "Found our inn for the night!" he said cheerfully and then grabbed his horses reigns to follow Greta to where they would stay.

  • Seb felt a pang of loneliness when Rhys mentioned that there wee only a few of his family left. Seb himself had a large extended family and was close enough with several nobles houses to consider them as such. Though he was one of a few royalty left he was considered dead so it held little power anymore. He knew that he had Rhys and wondered when or if Rhys would realize what Seb was to him again. He wanted Rhys to know that he would always stay by his side.

Sebastion jumped a little in his saddle when an older woman shouted out Rhys full name. He prepared for some sort of attack knowing that with Rhys old job he probably left enemies wherever he went. His worries were subsided as soon as he saw the smile on Rhys face. He waited on his horse as they greeted and reminisced for a solemn minute. Then he was introduced, again, as a companion. He offered his own pleasant smile and slipped from his horse. He knew that people in this area, especially magic users, probably weren't aware of what exactly he looked like. The only thing was he was unsure of how common his name was. Probably quite common though.

He didn't want to chance people putting two and two together though. And he wondered how good his ability to appear as a commoner was so he played it safe choosing a more common name from a separate country. "I am Dorian, a pleasure to meet you Greta." He said and offered his hand, twisting it slowly out from an extended hand to take and bow to and turning it to the side to shake.

They were lucky that Rhys knew someone who worked in the library and would help them get access. Although Seb was a little hesitant to stay in the castle .As she would have knowledge of Rhys past and of his mark and he didn't want to her to find out that he knew about both as well. He followed behind Rhys and lead his horse towards the castle.

He jogged a little so that he could walk beside Rhys as they approached the large white castle. Seb was well aware of the inner workings of their council and knew that they wouldn't need to be cautious of upsetting a king during their stay. He nudged Rhys slightly, "I don't think we should tell people my real name just in case." As they approached the hall Seb grew excited at the prospect of finally sleeping in a fit room Though he doubted that the room they would be placed in would be very good if they were only relying on the help of a librarian.

"We could go to the library tomorrow, it might be nice to take a short break today and visit the city. I wonder if there are any happenings this time of year? Or we could go out for drinks?" Seb added the last idea as he remembered the flask that Rhys had found that day after killing the men. He wasn't sure if Rhys had drank it but they could stop at a small tavern, lose their wits and still have enough gold for their travels.

  • Greta had shaken Seb's hand and murmured a greeting when he introduced himself as Dorian. Rhys talked with her a bit on the way there, but then quieted after a while, and Seb started to talk to him. He nodded at what he said. "Alright. I wasn't sure how to introduce you but I agree. Dorian it is," he spoke quietly and gave the prince a wink before continuing along the path, maneuvering around people as he followed Greta.

"I was going to suggest the same, enjoying today," Rhys admitted. "I agreed with what you said before, I think we deserve at least one night of entertainment before things get ... well, not so fun," Rhys spoke gently and quietly to him. Greta glanced back at them to make sure they were still following and smiled. "I'm sure we can find something around the area. There's so much to see...so much magic..." he trailed off in awe as he looked around. There were less people as they approached the castle. "First, I'd like to take a bath," he motioned to the both of them, whom were dirty and had some dried blood caked here and there.

Greta nodded. "You'll have access to the baths once we get inside," she explained and at the gates to the castle, she spoke to the guards and then shortly after there were others taking the reigns of the horses from Sebastion and Rhys. Rhys grabbed his bag from the horse and then pat the creature before Greta led them inside and down some hallways, then up a staircase. "Now will you be sharing a room or would you like separate...?" she asked, glancing back and forth between them. Greta had assumed since there seemed to be a magical bond between them that there also might be something else so they'd want one room.

Rhys shook his head. "Two is acceptable," he replied. Only because sometimes, privacy was nice. Greta nodded and then headed over to a wing of the castle with many doors close together. It wasn't as extravagant as the rest of the halls but, it was still nicer than an inn. "This is our guest wing. These two rooms are available," keys appeared in her palms and she handed one each to the men. "These rooms do have a door in between them, if you need it," she said with a small smile. "The baths are all the way down the hall. You're free to come and go as you wish, and I'll speak with the council about the library. Enjoy yourselves, there are some festivities here and there about the village! If you need me just ask," Greta grabbed Rhys's hands. "It's so good to see you again," she said and then headed down the hall.

Rhys turned to Sebastion and then glanced at his key. "Well. I say we get cleaned up and go!" he opened his door quickly and then once inside found a towel, and he headed down to the baths. No one was there now, it was evening time, everyone was most likely out for dinner. The baths were a series of pools, steaming. He lowered himself into one and hurriedly cleaned off, getting as much of the dirt off as he could.

  • Separate rooms huh? Seb knew that it had it's benefits but even after a week of traveling together he still didn't want Rhys to leave his sight. He was worried he might just disappear again, though he also knew that he shouldn't doubt Rhys. Seb found himself liking Greta, she seemed more open to the idea of them having a relationship then Rhys did. The door thing was a great bonus and as she said it Seb turned to Rhys and whispered, "if you plan to sneak in for a late night calling don't bother knocking, I'll leave it unlocked." He gave a smile that let Rhys know he was joking. But it wasn't enough to convince himself.

Seb just nodded vigorously when Rhys said to get cleaned up to go and went to his room to drop off his stuff and grab a towel. He was a little slow as he got distracted and stopped to clean the sides of his boots in a water basin in his room. He finished it quickly and grabbed some clean clothes, hurrying off to find Rhys and the baths.

He saw Rhys and smiled, then hid it in embarrassment as he realized where they were. He hurried into his own pool and melted in the warm embrace of the waters. He almost immediately forgot Rhys was there as he worked to scrub himself free of the grit and blood their journey had stained him with. He was lathering soap in his hands to wash his hair when he turned to Rhys.

"Does your family have a seal or something. Something you would recognize immediately if you saw it." He asked because his patience was wearing thin with the length of his hair. He washed his hair after that and rinsed it with the warm water until he finally felt princely. When he was finished he left the bath and wrapped himself in his towel, the air outside seemed much colder now compared to the bath. He dried off and put on his clothes again, tousling his hair and drying it with the towel.

"So what should we do first," He said when he was finally dressed and dry. "I'm thinking food." They had only eaten their small travel ration at lunch that day and now it was well into evening. "But let's splurge and get something good too."
