being an apprentice was cool, she guessed. there was more open-ness in the dens and... the other apprentices were cool? eh, she could care less. she really didn't know anyone around the clans, and probably only really trusted her siblings- which even they weren't around as much (other than swiftpaw). although there were ups to being an apprentice now rather than some annoying kit, there was one large downside about having the suffix of '-paw' now: her height. she was born with awfully short legs, labeling her as a munchkin. as a kit there really was no difference in height. it was until she was 6 moons old and all those foxdung clanmates that were her age hit their growth spurts that everyone really noticed her height difference. everyone always called her out on it and some elders even were worried about her potential of being a good warrior. one would be quite brought down over all these teasing remarks but she could handle it. or at least translate it to anger that is.

as of now the shortened apprentice was tossing a rock between her paws in boredom outside of the apprentices' den, having no task or... anything to do at all.

  • "Hello Sheeppaw" the white tom greeted "I suppose you are still getting used to the apprentice den". Whitepaw noticed Sheeppaw's height but never said anything. After all every cat has their flaws whether it be physical, emotional or mental. Whitepaw was one of the elder apprentices the others being Oatpaw, Branchpaw and some others he can't name at the moment.

the feline looked up at whitepaw with a snort. "yeah, still am. sucks we're next to the nursery. never realized how annoyingly loud kits are." she said with a small sigh at the end, placing the rock back down on the ground. it was quite hypocritical of her to say it, since she was quite the rambunctious kit herself not even a few moons ago. but she didn't want to admit it. it would be pretty embarrassing if she ever did. sheep rubbed a darkened paw over her nose. "how're you, whitepaw? fine? sad? indifferent? c'mon, i wanna know."

  • Foxpaw had been promoted to apprentice at the same time as sheeppaw. The munchkin had always been a tad small, but he had always been a tad too tall as well. He was a red silver tabby, with thick curly fur and a long feather tail. His face was beginning to become more angled and sharp, almost like a fox. Unlike a fox, however, he was kind.

And like sheeppaw, he had been poked and prodded by the other apprentices as well- despite being son to their new leader. It was either his height or his appearance that earned him these teasings.

"Hey guys." He mewed in greeting, tottering out of the apprentice den. There was bits of moss stuck in his curls, but he didn't seem to care. "What's going on?"

  • Loudly giggling, a small bundle of mostly white fur would come tumbling out of the warriors den, npc complaints drifting out after her. As Antkit skidded to a halt near the group, it was evident that she had been attempting yet another of her pranks. Sure, they didnt do much harm since they were mostly just burrs stuck in others nests or sneak attacks when cats were busy; but the annoyances were still enough to cause bickering. Pelt flattening as her chest fluffed up proudly, the tiny kitten would scramble over to the group, a cheerful grin on her face. "Hi there! I'm Antkit, don't think we ever talked much, but hi anyways! what 'chu guys doin'?" Her mismatched gaze was glowing with happiness, and it was clear she wasn't going to leave without an answer. She would sit beside her brother, decidedly ignoring the fact that he had already had her apprenticeship and she hadn't. So what if she always got in trouble? why'd she have to be the odd one out?
