    roleplay - adoption - plot/chat

    PROLOGUE ⎯

    It's dark and stormy. You've never been this frightened in your life. After just exiting a territory of fog, you oddly move straight into one currently under the wrath of a vicious storm. The rain pounds down on your pelt, and you have to squint so as not to get the stinging raindrops in your eyes. You trudge through the wet, muddy ground, until you hear voices. Your ears twitch and you dive behind a bush as two she-cats walk past. They are both tabbies, however you catch a glimpse of one of them with blue eyes and the other with green. "This can't be true." the green-eyed she-cat murmurs. She seems concerned about something, but the blue-eyed one only laughs. "Lighten up, Oakstar. It's only a joke." Just by the aura of this 'Oakstar', you can tell she wouldn't be happy about being played a prank on. Then she stops dead in her tracks, and you freeze. It should be impossible for her to scent you, right? It's raining hard. But if these cats live here, and are used to storms, they must be accustomed to tracking cats in a different way. Noses useless, you watch as Oakstar turns, and you are struck by how attractive her face is. It doesn't look old at all, and she when she spoke she sounded a lot wiser than she should be for a cat her age. Said face was suddenly gone, and, as you looked around in a panic, something grabs your scruff and drags you out of the bush. You lay before the two sisters, yelping. "Well, well, well. It's not every day a cat makes it through the other Clan territories to get here." When she speaks, her voice is kinder than expected. "I-I mean you no harm." you stammer, but Oakstar's sister only laughs. "What harm could a scrawny thing like yourself do to us? C'mon, let's get you cleaned up!"


    LORE & CULTURE ⎯

    HISTORY
    StormClan has not existed for as long as other Clans, however it has one generation of history before Oakstar's rule. Tempest, a smoky grey tom, was wandering lonely through other Clan territories. He got attacked and chased out plenty times when he refused to join the Clans for disliking of their rules, and one day he wandered so far he came to an abandoned woods with an almost everlasting storm. He rested up in an underground cave, the entrance to it a mere hole in the ground. The cave was huge, and had tunnels shooting off in different directions. Then one day, an exiled she-cat by the name of Thrushwind came by. She had been exiled once the blame of a killing had been thrown wrongly onto her, and was all too happy to join Tempest. Tempest renamed himself Tempeststar, and the two accepted wandering loners and wrongly exiled Clan cats, until one day Tempeststar was corrupted. An enemy Clan leader convinced him that Thrushwind truly was the killer and was just trying to worm her way into his heart so she may destroy him and take control of her own Clan in the future, and all hell broke loose. It was an all out war of infighting within StormClan. Oakstep and her sister, Bramblesky, were torn apart. Half the Clan sided with Thrushwind (Oakstep included), and half the Clan with Tempeststar (Bramblesky included). Finally, Oakstep, being the current deputy, broke up the fight. During an actual bloody battle, Tempeststar lost his last life and suddenly everyone realised what had happened. Oakstep broke up the fighting by clearing Thrushwind's name, however, since Thrushwind had been the one to strike Tempeststar down, she was exiled anyway. With the problem resolved, Oakstep has been ruling for only three moons.


    TRADITIONS
    When a kit is born, the warriors and hunters both hunt for prey all day, while the designers will prepare the camp with decorations for a feast when nightfall comes.
    When a kit is made an apprentice, they and their family (or close friends if they happen to be an orphan) will go on a trip to the sacred Star Rock and rest in the blessing of their ancestors, TempestClan.
    When an apprentice is made a warrior, hunter, designer or healer, the whole Clan will do nothing more than congratulate them. However, they will be free of work for the first day.
    StormClan's ancestors are known as TempestClan, named by Oakstar in respect for their lost leader, Tempeststar, who ruled for a mere fifteen moons, much unlike other leaders might lead. Their evil ancestors - the place where cats with no good intentions go when they die - are named Shadow Spirits. They are not to be spoken lightly of.

    OOC RULES;


    1. No swearing or cursing - warriors curses only.
    2. One HP per person please. You cannot have a HP on your main and a HP on your subaccount, also.
    3. NO OOC drama. That gets on my nerves. IC drama is highly encouraged!
    4. If you're absent for a week without telling me, your cat goes missing. Then you have three days- if not, I kill your cat.
    5. Your HP cat has only five days of absence, then I demote them.
    6. Rules 4 & 5 are subject to change - you just have to tell me you're going to be inactive and how long for!
    7. No being your own mate or crush. That's just boring, c'mon.
    8. All plot ideas must be run by me or the co-owner.
    9. I can reject or accept your form and you can't argue.
    10. Put whether you like rain or not in the 'other' section of your form if you read all the rules. ALL.
    11. Realistic characters please. I'll go a little loose on non-realistic names (because Tempeststar) however don't go too overboard.
    12. Two homosexual/pan/bi characters per person, but if you're only making two characters, then you can only have one.
    13. Try to keep genders even please! Look at how many females & males there are, then make your characters to balance that out.
    14. Fade in/out with inappropriate seems e.g. mating and birth.
    15. This is a semi-advanced thread! 4+ sentences PER CAT! I'll only accept low muse every two pages.
    16. No killing or maiming cats without the roleplayer's approval. And you'll have to let me know too, otherwise I'm going to think you didn't get their approval.
    17. Please don't be afraid to ask questions, I'm actually quite an easygoing gal!
    18. One transgender/non-binary/gender-fluid cat per person. You cannot have one more on your subaccount.
    19. Keep an eye out, for I may add more rules in the future!


    WARRIOR CODE;


    1. Only one healer is allowed a mate and kits, the other is only allowed a mate.
    2. You never abandon a kit in need, no matter where it is from.
    3. Injured apprentices and warriors are to be helped too, however hostility is permitted in their case.
    4. Do not kill or injure a cat from your own Clan.
    5. Friendships with other Clan cats are allowed, however they must not interfere with your loyalty.
    6. A kit must be six moons to become an apprentice.
    7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least two apprentices.
    8. Do not trespass on a territory that is not your own.
    9. The leader's word is law. Do not disobey them.
    10. You are always willing to give up your life for your Clan.
