"That's good though." Ava told Izaya. She knew it was weird for him to genuinely relax, even when they were sitting in his apartment and watching a movie he wasn't really completely relaxed.
But they were far away from Ikebukuro right now.
They were heading towards the beautiful beach of Okinawa. A place she had dreamed of visiting forever ago.
"This is a good chance for us to actually relax and enjoy ourselves." She added, squeezing his hand and giggling when she looked down to realize he was swinging their arms. "It's so peaceful out here. The air is fresh and clean. I kind of miss this back home."
It was easy for many people to forget she was from America originally until she moved to Ikebukuro a year and a half ago. She couldn't believe that time had flown by so fast. Too much had happened in one year for her to really accept that time was getting away from her.
"I love everyone back home, but this is really a nice change. Just me and you on the beach. No gangs. No violence. No one trying to convince me you're evil and no having to worry about anyone attacking you." And Shizuo got a break from Izaya for a couple of days and maybe it would hellp him calm down.
