The burly tomcat had been given the task of storytelling or story time and something about the task made the warrior nervous to a small degree but he tried not letting him get the best of him as he took a deep breath speaking with a toothy grin on his maw "Gather 'round. I'm going to share a story or two so anyone interested in listenin', c'mere." He would sit down letting his stump of a tail thump against the ground patently before he would ease down into a "bread" position where he tucked his forepaws underneath his chest, a relaxed expression on him despite how his fur prickled just a bit with anxiety. He took a deep breath nodding slowly as he began to think a bit more positive. Maybe the clan would like to hear of his loner days? He didn't really know any Starclan or clan stories.

Oh that was going to be so much fun! He loved listening to his father tell stories and so he rushed forward, small paws skittering across the ground as he moved forward in a hurry. As his lithe body got close to his father he brushed his body gently against the larger tom's before he settled down, sprawled out but eyes locked with a bright wonderment in his mismatched gaze. It was storytime and he knew a topic that everyone should hear because she was a wonderful she-cat in the eyes of the little tom. "Da' can you tell me 'bout ma again? I'm sure everyone else woul' love ta hear it too!"

The tom perked up spotting the familiar coat of his son and he angled his ear forward with a warm smile on his maw aiming to nuzzle his son's head before hearing what he wanted to hear about. He inwardly flinched blinking at his child with warm amber eyes and tried debating as to whether or not to share this tale, he wanted Tinypaw to be happy but talking about her made his heart ache for a whole week. 'C'mon Bear, jus' for ya son.' He told himself as he twitched his whiskers debating with himself, his head screaming no while his heart crying out yes. What was he to do? Being a single parent and having to live with that. . .He pushed the memories away "Jus' for you, son." He paused creeping slowly into the midst of his memories for her remembering her eyes, her coat, and the warmth of her personality as well as company. "Well, your ma was a great cat, her name was Firelily. She was mighty purty too. . .I was a youngin ya see and I was curious about ta'forest cats. Instead of bumpin' into any of 'em, I. . .I bumped into her instead. I got this funny feeling in m'chest, m'face warm as the sun, m'heart racing as the quickest critter. She found me amusing really. . .She was an ocean of white snow like fur with islands of ginger, red, and black. She was a mighty purty girl. She had this fire in her eyes too, a warrior aura radiating off of her." He paused going on "She lived there and every day, I'd try to visit her. Soon enough, we fell in love, she moved to m'place, and we had a cute bundle of fur." A smile tugged at his lips adding "Take a wild guess." A warm chuckle escaped his maw despite how his heart began to ache at the thought of her, his Firelily but she was gone and it was his fault.

the feline could be found at the edge of the camp, her head slightly downcast. her olive gaze was focused on the ground, the femme could find herself staring into empty space, thinking about nothing in particular. she was an absent-minded fool, to say the least, and certainly not the best a warrior could do.

hearing the former rogue's voice, bear, her eyes flitted upwards in surprise. her head craned towards the burly tom, eyelashes batting as she comprehended the situation after her mind had been in her own imagination. he was telling stories? what kind? kitten tales or actual stories, with plots and suspense and action? she exhaled.

standing up, the she-cat's extremely big figure could be seen from afar. her creamy fawn fur shone with the care of water, as she had recently been swimming and caught a minnow that she managed to gobble up. the taste of fish was still a little fresh on her lips as she slowly lumbered towards the two, smiling crookedly.

"stories? i'd love to hear some, grizzlybear." she mused, blinking as she sat down once again. her feathery tail curled around her paws, almond-shaped eyes gazing at the chimaeric pelt of sock, then at the dilute brown of grizzlybear.

Grizzlybear liked telling stories though the only ones he didn't necessarily favor were those that hovered around his emotions, he blinked both of his amber visionaries seeing Heatherpounce did he give a dip of his cranium "Howdy Heatherpounce." There was a pause only to let out a snort before chuckling "Yes, I'd love ta'tell ya some stories. I just don't know what our clanmates would like ta'hear bout. . .I mean, I don't got much warrior stories but I definitely got a few of my former loner lifestyle y'know." He said with a roll of his broad shoulders offering the fawn she-cat a smile only to briefly glance over in Tinypaw's direction hoping that he was satisfied with that small "story" of his and blinked his amber eyes trying to figure out some stories. Great Starclan, he was surely troubled in this situation.
