• Lee lightly elbowed Grey, who looked a bit angry for some reason. "Dude," they whispered, "You looked lowkey pissed. You alright?" They seemed to be a person who liked to "poke the bear", but in reality, they just loved to hear people ranting about things. Especially if it was completely justified. They loved to hear about people's drama. They honestly loved drama, but they would never intentionally cause it. Just state things. That may be controversial. They sort of paid attention to the teacher, but that wasn't going to last long anyway, so they might as well just accept their distraction. The answer was pretty cool, too. They just lost interest after about 2 seconds.

Silaluk dutifully took down notes, not wanting to miss anything, but Ms. Jones spoke quickly and it was difficult to catch all the information. She realized there wouldn't be as many books on these subjects, nothing on the internet, so she would probably have to pay more attention in class. Getting by by studying on the internet wasn't possible when the subjects they were learning were classified by the government.

ooc: just so u know @MunDane henry interacted w asher :D

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay turned around to stare at the two, giving them a glare of contempt. He hated it when people whispered through class. In his experience, it earned you 5 mile runs and 100 push-ups. Maybe he'd try to get them to do it later.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
Grey humphed, but nodded just the same. "yeah, just a bit mad. the teacher totally took my point the wrong way, how is that not a crime?!" she whisper-shouted, trying to keep quiet as she ranted. "I mean, I meant no difference between vampires and werewolves, just that I've known people who have taken on entire groups of Abnormals and lived!"

  • Naomi Romello--16--Female

Naomi resigned herself to a composed silence throughout the duration of Bella’s lecture, boredly paying attention while she twirled a pencil in her fingertips. Occasionally the 16 year old shifted in her seat, shooting glass glances at the mumbling students behind. Some were chattier than others--Miss Grey Daedra to be specific. She grinned despite herself. This was a girl filled with pride for her family--Naomi could relate. No doubt the Italian hungered give this boisterous Daedra a taste of exactly what level of damage a Romello could deal. The memory of their earlier altercation flashed in her mind. It wouldn’t take much to get that one riled up…..Unlike her good friend Jay. Romello eyed him as he glared at Grey and another girl. Was it just a trick of the lighting, or was thestoic soldier boy actually showing an emotion? Naomi felt a smirk play her lips. It was a strange thing, but she immediately realized she wanted to see the mysterious 17 year old furious--no, seething. What was he hiding under that carefully constructed exterior? The distracted girl only found herself pulled back into Jones's discussion when Raina questioned the threatening nature of werewolves, eyebrows knitting when she turned back to concentrate on her pencil. Naomi snorted. It wasn’t that Walsh’s question wasn’t stupid, no…...To the half-demon it just seemed more like the inquiry was questioning the wrong species. To her, Bella’s lecture was making it seem as though the humans were a far more dominant threat to the werewolves. She brushed a wild mahogany curl behind back behind her ear then looked up, lips pursing. “Excuse me Mrs. Jones,” Black glasses slid a centimeter down her nose, an argumentative edge residing in the corner of chocolate orbs, “What, exactly, makes a werewolf attack?” PIBI had classified many of the werewolf attacks in the Venetian countryside as simple miscalculation by humans--people would do half-wit things like leave a butchered cow out or actively seek out werewolf dens for kicks and giggles. Were werewolves inherently aggressive or simply ruled by their animalistic urges of extreme territorialism?

    Asher Phillips--17--Male

Asher jumped at Henry’s sudden words, seafoam oculars swiveling to focus on the doctor. He was standing in the exact same place where they’d left him--hands limp at his sides and feet planted with a strange tenseness. He hadn’t moved. Mr. Phillips had stared blankly at Evans’s back as he left before his gaze fell to his scarred hands, hair tickling his ears. He certainly hadn’t expected an offer like that. If you ever want to be special? What? What ‘tech?’ The artist’s mind raced with unanswered questions--everything was suddenly becoming unbelievably more real to him. He couldn’t leave this place...He was going to have to learn to kill demons. Kill actually living things! He accidentally murdered a squirrel once during an unfortunate driving accident and couldn’t go near his car for a week! Asher blew out a ragged sigh, tiredly ignoring West for a moment before he shuffled over the a the cabinet, threw open a draw and snatched up the bottle of pills Henry had specified earlier. The boy unscrewed the lid then glanced back at West--studying him for a moment. “You know,” Asher popped around four pills into his palms, fingering them briefly before dropping them back into his mouth. The 17 year old grunted, picking up a small cup of water to help the pills down his throat. He swallowed the pellets without checking his dosage, gulping loudly before he finally turned back to Henry. “No offense, but I don’t really trust any of you,” He wrinkled his nose. “Met far too many adults.”

  • Bella Jones
Bella raised an eyebrow at Grey and smirked."They survive but kid, not everyone's going to be lucky. Hybrids of these things exist and god, they are powerful." Bella had a quick flashback, or memory. It was of a a hunter she had to care for with 3rd degree burns telling her of a beast with a child, not the same species, not human, but a hybrid. Those things terrified her since they never came out the same. When she got another question, she snapped out of it and nodded."It depends on the species or motives. Usually it's nothing to do with what young hunters think. Most of the time it's defense from hunters or to protect their young from potiental danger. Let me tell you, hunters who just hunt without an education often kill infants for fun, their infants. It's only right for them to attack. " Bella didn't mean to sound to agressive but humans were very..selfish. Very flawed, fear made them hate or made them want to feel superior. She knew she was one of them, a flawed human.

  • ooc: yOURE BACK!! it's fine dude i'd probably be inactive too if i was a responsible person who was studying for the ap test like she was supposed to

ic: Henry watched him quietly before going up to him and taking the pill bottle back, placing it in the cabinet, and locking it. Just in case. While, yes, it wasn't super potent painkillers, and he would actually recommend over the dosage on the side, he still wanted to make sure no one was about to overdose on his watch. Well, it would be a good opportunity to test out his most recent version of his reagent without Bessie getting on his back about it... but no. Just as he thought this, he heard Asher's statement. The timing was quite perfect. He found the corners of his mouth twitching upward in an odd smile. "Good call." He glanced towards Asher, and then pointed towards where he was supposed to be, the beds behind a door in the back. "You have to lie down, though. Just so you know, the whole 'don't sleep with a concussion' isn't exactly a thing-- it won't cause more brain damage, but before you sleep we have to make sure you are going to wake up again, preferably with all your functions." He led him towards the room this time, opening the door. "Oh, out of curiosity-- you said you were a painter?" He wasn't an art person himself, but Henry was curious about why, exactly, this art kid was in a school for hunting.

Lee Jones nodded, quickly bored by this conversation. Taken out entire groups of abnormals and lived? For some reason, they didn't quite believe that. Or think it was really that impressive. One abnormal, aight, that abnormal was probably doing something wrong in order to get killed. A whole group, though... couldn't be all totally bad, could it? There could be like children or something. However, they quickly gave up on contemplating the morality of this whole thing to raise their hand and ask a question, not waiting to be called on. "Hey, Ms. Jones? I just realized we have the same name, think we're related?" They, personally, were mixed, and they supposed it was possible Ms. Jones was related on their mom's side, but it was mostly a joke.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay had the sudden feeling he was being watched, and a familiar feeling it was, the recruit's years of training taking their toll. He caught his roommate's eye, and broke the stare almost as quickly.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
All Grey did was grumble, mostly silent, to herself through class. She eyed Natalie with a glimmer of hatred, believing her to be the cause of the problem.

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
    _

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus
"Mind if I answer, Ms. Jones?" John asked, poking his head into the room. He had dealt with werewolves of all kind. The guidance counselor had made his way into first hour to address the class on his responsibilities and job, and make absolutely sure that he was the one to talk to.

(I will be giving Grey Daedra (and her house) a slight redevelopment, so she's a little more powerful. Not OP, but I think she's going to realize that Daedra and Romello aren't that different.)

  • Naomi Romello--16--Female

Naomi nodded at Mrs. Jones, head tipping lightly. Well, there was no question about it now; Bella definitely felt sympathy in favor of the wolves. Personally she couldn’t agree more fully…..This led her to wonder on how this teacher felt about demons as well. The girl lifted a finger to trace absentmindedly over her flowered burn scars. Plenty of her family had been murdered in similar situations to the werewolves; they didn’t exactly look too friendly…..But then again, there was no shortage of Romellos that actually deserved to be killed either. She looked up. Did Jones know she was a halfie? She glanced in both directions. Did any of them? She supposed it didn’t particularly matter--the half Bull-demon was proud of her heritage. Naomi’s attentions flit to appraise John Constable, face indifferent at his sudden appearance and request for permission to enter.

    Asher Phillips--17--Male

Asher glanced at West out of the corner of his eye, placing a hand on the side of the door before he peered into the room. The doctor’s questioned registered quietly. His posture stiffened just slightly, feet carrying him away from West as he moved his face away from the older man’s view. “Sort of,” He began, hands shoving into his rumpled pockets, “I’ve been hunting since I was a kid... There’s never been much time to paint but when I DO find the time it's enjoyable. I’m better at charcoal sketches though.” Asher’s words flowed confident and light, but his eyes told a different story. He blew out a held breath after the sentence, hands clenching in his pockets. Why was the doctor interested, anyway? His mouth set in a thin line. The best guess was this man didn’t actually care about his interests either way, chances were he was suspicious. Son of a b*tch. Phillips grinned back at Henry, “My dad taught me.” He turned to a nearby bed and pointed, “So….Is this one fine? Nobody died here right?” He blinked against a drowsy current, legs trembling with a genuine fatigue. It’d been a long week for this particular runaway.

  • Bella
Bella quickly answered the girls joke."If I was related to you, is be very proud." She was proud and loved all her students. They were the new generation and every generation deserved a little of what they hardly received."Ah, Mr.Constable, Yes.Lets hear your opinion."

"Thank you. Firstly, I feel I should introduce myself. My name is John Constable. I'm your guidance counselor while you're here at Warren's. Now, even a werewolf knows what makes us powerful. Some of you may be hunted, or attacked, just based on your abilities, or your heritage. If I may, I am a Metallurgy Magus. I can control metals, like, for example, Silver. Many a werewolf's bane. I was not aware of it at the time I was attacked, but I was the worst nightmare of many werewolves. I was attacked, and I didn't even know why. Naturally, I survived, but not without learning a bit. They may target you based not on your distance to their young, but your power or talents."

Everyone needed a hobby, he supposed. Not picking up on Asher's hostility, he replied with, "You may be able to... sketch, or something, for a while. You shouldn't read, at least not a lot, and no phones or anything, but drawing should be alright." He actually wasn't entirely sure how much focus drawing used up, but he supposed it was probably this kid's best bet. He glanced towards Asher again, noting how tired he physically seemed, and wondered if that fatigue stemmed from the concussion, or lack of sleep, or something else. He glanced at the bed Asher indicated with a thoughtful expression. "I can't quite recall," he said, in a deadpan manner, "it's difficult to keep track, you know."

</woltlab-metacode>

Then again, Ms. Jones hadn't seen their grades yet, so it made sense she would be proud to be their relative at this point. John asked of Lee, "Well, you're here, aren't you?" He looked up, catching Lee's gaze. "If you're here, you've got something that we want, whether it's talent, abilities, or the right morals and a brave heart. Either way, you being here makes you a target. If any monster catches wind of Warren's, they either want to kill you to prove themselves, to kill a potential threat, or capture you to find out where it is, and destroy it."

  • Bella
"Ah, but not all abnormals are threats, Mr.Constable. Such as the haltija." Bella smiled brightly to try and show that there's were some abnormals to not hunt."Not all abnormals are bad. Some just want to live in peace." She added. She knew that it was probably weird to defend the different creatures but it was true."But some things are also dangerous to all and a major threat. Such as Sirens. Some abnormals can't be fought for a good reason, they have a job and you have to respect that. Those are reapers. You can't avoid them when you die, it will cause more deaths. There are the dangerous, the neutral, and "the peaceful.

"That is true," John admitted, shrugging. "Not every abnormal has to be killed, and we can always learn more by letting some live. To say Hunters have never worked with Abnormals before is a lie. I haven't, but I've heard records of those who do."

I'm reviving this, maybe. HEAR ME! REVIVE!

  • ooc: bringin this back to LIFE because we got new ppl who wanna join. we're just gonna skip straight to the field trip so we can have fun w the emperial people

ic: Bessie Blitzer checked the time. It was the end of the school day, around 3:00, meaning it was time to announce the trip. She tied her hair back again, having let it loose for a bit while she was in her office, and went to the microphone, which connected to the PSA system all over the school. "Students and faculty must now gather in the Building C auditorium for a meeting about the field trip that is occurring beginning today." She switched off the mic, and purposefully strode down the hallway towards the auditorium in order to address the students.

all my other characters headed towards the auditorium and are open to interaction

  • Kuroh rose from his seat. A field trip? It had to have something to do with hunting. A toothy grin took over his face as he rushed to building C. Finally, some hunting! He wondered what he would find, other demons? Dream eaters? He stopped and gasped, other fire manipulators? Glee took over the delinquent as he imagined cooking another abnormal to char with his abilities. Hunting was one of his favorite things to do. It made his family proud, impressed his friends (that is, if he even had any), and it gave him a certain rush that nothing else could offer.

  • Miguel

Miguel had already dressed in his uniform and was making his way to the auditorium. He had tied his gray hair up, giving a frown now that's he was alone. As a teenage male, he still had major insecurities. The lack of eumelanin and melanin caused him major problems. It stood out to much, it looked off. He looked like the people from the Disney'Atlantis' movies. Tan skin, white hair and blue colored eyes. Except his hair was gray. Realization hit him that he was overthinking and was getting close to his destination, making him give out a huff.

    Manolo

Manolo stood up from his bed and groaned loudly, jumping out of his bed and basically just threw on the uniform..at least the shirt. He didn't even try to change the baggy sweats he was wearing. The socially awkward male made his way out of the room and rushed out the door. He hoped there would be no interaction between and anyone else because he really didn't want to deal with people. He just wanted to get whatever was happening over with it, a cup of coffee would be nice a short well. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and glanced back, So Miguel had gone ahead of him. He literally had no friends there, at least he felt like it. Miguel was already past friends, Miguel was a brother. But Manolo felt dread dawn upon him as he walked. He could deal with not having friends, but he couldn't deal with not workinf with people. His guns were always a team effort. Not individual. He had sibilings to help him..had.

    Bella

Bella had already arrived at the auditorium, just standing outside with a phone in her hand. She was looking at the pictures of her children, and her husband. She missed them dearly but knew they deserved the life of a normal human and not a hunter. These children at the school deserves better as well.. to live.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
A trip? Could be interesting. As long as his CO agreed.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
"A trip?" The young magus asked excitedly. "We get to go on a trip! Awesome! Where to? Paris? Tokyo? Ooh, how about Los Angeles? I've always wanted to go there." It was unknown who exactly she was speaking to, but she talked nonetheless

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
Dr. Evans was already at the auditorium, polishing his mechanical hand. He wasn't too excited to be leading brats out on a trip, but maybe... if that boy accepted his offer, he'd surely get some data.

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus
"Finally." The old staffer groaned, grabbing a ball of silver and squeezing it like clay, as it molded into a fancy watch. It was his backup, and he always had a backup plan.

  • Henry leaned against the wall at the side of the cafeteria. He hated meetings like this, and asked repeatedly if he could just skip them, but they didn't think that he was serious about his complaints about the noise. He truly didn't like it, though-- the sound of crowds grated on his ears. He tried not to pay too much attention to it, crossing his arms and looking around at the other teachers. The one he thought he might be able to have an interesting conversation with hated him now, but as far as Henry could tell he wouldn't have been able to converse about what Henry wanted to talk about anyway. He sighed.

Lee Jones caught up to Grey, curious about what she was saying when they heard her talking. "I mean, it's not like they're low on funds. Why not?" They grinned, shrugged, and looked up at the doorway. Most likely, they were going to kill some vamps or something. Sounded pretty fun to Lee. They liked shopping as much as the next person, but killing monsters was sweet as hell. It was like a movie or something, but like, more dangerous.

Silaluk stepped towards the auditorium, unsure, looking around at the others around her. She realized she didn't know anyone very well, and looked around nervously, before seeing Manolo. Not wanting to wave, since she was kind of socially awkward, she just walked quickly over to him, and poked him on the shoulder. "Hi," she said.

Bessie waited patiently on stage for everyone to file in.

  • Oc---/WHOOOOO! I'M READY! SORRY I'VE BEEN GONE. LIFE. YAKNOW?

    Ic--/

    Evangeline Strauss--27--Female

Hopefully this field trip was to a nearby bar--but as she was dealing with sniffling high school students--Evangeline had to let the hope for that hopeless outcome starve out and die. The alluring teacher stood leaning haphazardly against a doorframe, her right eye violently twitching while her irritated gaze scorched over the students and faculty alike as they shuffled into the auditorium. The pain of chucking her brother across a lunchroom had finally begun to subside somewhat, but while her cognition had recovered, she still felt herself in a dangerously annoyed state--eyes dancing rather maliciously at any and all of the poor fools who fumbled into meeting her gaze. She was going to cause pain today. Field trip? A maniacal grin crossed her features, and for an almost comical moment, the look on the woman’s face closely matched how it looked when she worked as a murderous free roaming agent under the alias Blight. Any of the students that might’ve been unfortunate enough to be assigned to her group would be in for an inescapable doom.

    Asher Phillips--17--Male

The sounds of his raggedy shoes slapping against the tile floor were Asher’s only company as he pounded through the emptying halls. This was a bad idea. His chest heaved in a disgruntled chuckle, sea-foam hues fixated on the approaching gathering spot. He hadn’t moved when Betsy’s initial announcement crackled over the intercom; the boy simply watched as Henry turned tail and headed off. He groaned, rubbing at his tired eyes. Asher found himself pulled back into an earlier conversation--Dr. Drew Evan’s offer echoing about him again. He thought about Evangeline--flashes of their first meeting playing out in his peripheral. His sister had always protected him--hell, she’d killed her own father for him--their father, and that meant something. No matter how much of an incomprehensible asshole the man had been. His hands fisted, shoulders throwing themselves back as he came to an apparent decision. He would protect Evangeline, and if that meant attending and integrating himself into this crazed environment, then he would. Mr. Phillip’s had then tucked his shirt in, blazed through Henry’s office in search of some concealing gauze he could tie around his unruly hair to cover the nasty bruise with, then blew out the door with a renewed resolve. Asher now smiled, feet slowing as he came to the auditorium. This was a really bad idea. By all means, he should be lying in the doctor’s office, but…. Here he was, looking like a disgruntled hospital patient. He nodded to himself. First, he needed to find the cyborg from earlier….Oh! And avoid...what was his name, Henry? He glanced wildly around before rushing to hide between a group of two girls. Evangeline. He would have to avoid her as well. The distracted boy barely noticed as the groups of girl split around him, and he unwittingly smashed right into the back of his roommate; Kuroh Nakamura

    Naomi Romello--16--Female

The Halfie stood right smack dab in the middle of the auditorium, hands on her hips, chocolate gaze flitting about with almost enough vehement fire to match Evangeline’s Strauss’s. She, however, wasn’t angry in the slightest. Strangely, Naomi Romello's features were alight with a go-getting sort of light. A field trip! Finally she would be out of this stuffy shared air and out into the uncertainty of the action field. She raised a resolute fist, nodding to herself. That was where an individual’s character was judged--out where the only thing that mattered was survival. This is where she would rise victorious, and her peers would surely crash and burn. Naomi halted her gleeful reminiscences as her eyes skipped over Jay Beagle. She smirked. This field run would be a fantastic opportunity to figure out that one as well. Weaving her hands behind her back, she set off towards him without a second thought, heels clicking against the floor in a subtle warning. The coy girl stopped just short of Soldier boy, a few baby curls falling from her disheveled hairstyle as she lifted a single foot, then unceremoniously stepped on the back of his shoe.

  • After regaining his balance from the sudden impact from behind, Kuroh slowly turned around, a ball of fire forming in his hand. "Just who the hell do you think you a--" he paused as he fully turned around, and the ball disappeared into a huff of smoke. His roommate was lucky that Kuroh noticed him before swinging the ball of fire in his direction. "Oh, it's you, Asher." his angry expression was replaced by a lazy smirk. "Ready for some hunting? Or, at least that's what I think we're doing." he was really fixated on his hopes that this was a hunting trip. Cracking his knuckles, he waited for an answer patiently.
