  • Manolo

Manolo raised a single eyebrow and glanced around boredly. So this wasn't even going to be an actual hunt? This wasn't pleasing to the mexican male all that much.

    Miguel

Miguel felt his stomach knot up a bit. He was a bit nervous ans not out of fear. He just felt that something bad would result from all of this. Traveling abnormals only meant one thing: Fear. And Miguel considered all living things to live by animal instincts. Something you don't do to animals isn't corner them, you don't attack them or try to subdue them. They will react violently. And even the smallest of dogs could create damaged when threatened. He knew at people would be hurt. From both sides.

  • Evangeline Strauss--27--Smoker Mom

“Mhm” Strauss hummed lightly in response to the cyborg’s smug comments, eyebrows raising in feigned impress as he whipped out a high-tech pair of specs to further investigate the scene. She whipped out a concealed cigarette in response. It was lit and hanging from pursed lips imperceptibly fast. Her own attention fell to the two students again, and the woman had to cover her mouth to keep from revealing a smile. The girl had just made like she was going to come at her classmate head on, then veered into the crowd! Evangeline herself nearly lost her, but found Naomi as soon as the half-demon finally hurled herself at Jay. The woman gripped her elbows, heavily anticipating the outcome of this tactic. A chokehold! The girl had gone for a chok--Immediately Strauss’s smile fell, and she sighed. From where she was standing near the podium, It seemed as though the boy had simply spun around and tackled her, effectively turning the tables. How disappointing. She blew out a disinterested sigh and allowed her attention to move on, scanning the crowd until it landed on a raised hand. Evangeline narrowed her eyes and almost snorted. Here we go. “Bessie,” The Hunting teacher addressed her headmaster lowly so none other than her fellow teachers would hear, cobalt irises still fastened darkly on Ieyasu's hand. “There’s a curious little Tot waiting for you to call on him over there.” Blitzer may have been about to publicly reprimand the two that had been fighting, but really, Strauss didn’t see the point. Had it really been a fight? She glanced back at the two, eyes catching the slightest beginnings of Jay’s smile. Evangeline’s face scrunched up in disgust. More like some weird teenage courting ritual.

    Asher Phillips--17--Hopeless Civilian

Asher attempted to duck away from Kuroh’s hold but found himself unwittingly pulled into a sidearm bro hug. Seafoam hues blinked up at the demon and he couldn’t help the low sigh of defeat in response to his roommate’s question. He didn’t even know how to fire a Damn gun. The most Phillips could ‘Back him up’ with might be a dull butter knife. Or a dustbuster vacuum--he was handy with those. The dejected boy grunted when Kuroh turned them in the direction of a few jostled bodies, eyes flying up to survey what his Partner was talking about. “What?” A fight? Wasn’t that normal for these kids? Hell, weren’t they occupying a room full of a bunch of freaking killers? Asher caught only the tail end of the exchange, mouth falling open as Jay fell over Naomi. What? Had the guy really just tackled that poor girl? The civilian eyed Kuroh’s hand. “Should someone….I dunno….Help her?”

    Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

Naomi found herself breathless--air hitching in excitement as her feet connected. Yes! She had HIT HIM! SHE HAD HIT--......the heels of his boots. Oh. Now she was falling. The girl’s feet twisted with Jay’s as gravity inevitably jerked her downward and he pivoted to face her, lids slamming shut when she realized her own attack had left little no means of providing a clean escape. The student’s body acted on her own, flailing arms reaching to wrap securely around her partner’s neck while her body braced against the harsh impact of the marble floor at her back. She landed with a dull thud, and then Jay fell on her. Naomi laid there with her eyes closed for a few more seconds before she finally allowed them to blink open, Chocolate visionaries flying up to meet his very close gaze. A couple different emotions played across her features in rapid sequence; first shock, followed by confusion, then concluding with a blinding smile as she realized her partial triumph. “HA! I won! I--” Her regard fell to his lips and her voice promptly hitched. Naomi had in no way expected to ever see a smile. Granted, even though it was pathetically puny specimen, the girl found herself blown away almost at once. The most she’d hoped for was maybe a few angry curse words--perhaps he’d storm off in a camo fit or something. But this strange boy, who she’d only just met this morning and was now smushed under….Just smiled. The traitorous color in Naomi’s cheeks deepened just barely when a small gasp escaped her parted lips. The girl blinked rapidly and adjusted herself, head falling back as she forced tensed limbs to relax against the floor. A coy grin hurriedly plastered itself over her maw. “Careful Soldier Boy,” her hands fell to his shoulders while an eyebrow quirked as she waited for him to get off, strangely at ease with her current position. “I can’t have you falling for me.”

Oc--/ Ahh. Naomi does puns. AND DAMMIT! YOU KNOW WHAT?! WE MIGHT JUST FALL FOR FREAKING JAY.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay opened his eyes, having shut them as he fell onto her. His face was almost up against hers. Without her stern-looking glasses and professional tied-up hair, she was quite beautiful. Stunning, really, and Jay hadn't expected this, as he blinked away his own confusion. a slight bit of red contrast his normally white face, but it promptly disappeared as she spoke. "Ha. Falling over you, you mean," he corrected, coughing away his satisfied smile. He hadn't had a fight like that in months. She had really upended him, so to speak. He had his hands pressed against the floor on either side of her head, and he leaned in, as if going for a kiss. Then his stoic face returned, and he pushed up with nary a grunt, breaking her weak grip on his shoulders and standing to full height. "You had better hope that neither of us are punished for your carelessness," he said, turning away from her.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
Drew watched the fight with interest. Both students fought with skill, and it was easy to see their training evident, considering where both of them were from. The girl obviously had inhuman reflexes, and was probably not fully human herself, but the boy was plain, normal. Like a better Mr. Phillips, as it were. There was nothing special about him except training, so why could he just barely keep up with the girl? The technician was sure that, given time, the fight would have tipped to the boy, for he showed far greater stamina, and strategy. Naomi was fast, yes, but men were stronger, and she looked wild, incessant in her attacks. It seemed clear to Drew that she never intended the fight to go on long. Overconfidence, maybe? He would have to note that, and try to pass it on to the Defense teacher, Shane. Maybe the man could lessen their weaknesses.

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus

(I can totally see them getting together, and him, of course, learning her heritage. And when she goes full demon, he's going to get asked, 'is... that your girlfriend?' and he's just going to answer, 'yeah. What a woman, huh?' with a satisfied grin as the onlooker just looks at him as if he's crazy. Because he probably is. XD)

  • Bessie was already approaching the two who had just fought, arms crossed, eyes blazing. "You can fight," she said, calmly. "You can fight whenever you want, except for when you're in an auditorium with a bunch of other kids." She looked between them both, silence heavy. "You may not fight when there's a risk that you could injure someone else." Her voice suddenly got darker. "You especially do not fight when I am trying to speak." Her mind worked quickly, trying to think of an appropriate punishment. "If you two fight again, you may not participate in the hunt. Since I want you to learn alongside the rest, your punishment will simply be that..." She considered. She could give them worse weapons, but that may be dangerous. Then, she had an idea. "You will have to have your wrists tied together at all times, except in the bathroom and while sleeping. If a teacher catches you without it 3 times, you won't be allowed to hunt."

Silaluk headed towards the weapons room, already knowing vaguely what to expect. She had been taught to hunt, for animals, at least, since she was rather young. Where she was from, every part of the deer was used. She liked the taste, but always felt bad for the animal. She did her best to respect it, in the end. She didn't pose it for pictures, or play with it, or put it on her wall as a trophy. She wasn't about to disrespect these things either. She was a little nervous, wondering what it would be like. It was an awful hope, but she hoped they weren't too human.

Lee decided to walk alongside Grey as they headed to get weapons. They twisted their curl around their finger as they sauntered along, their walk confident and rather bouncy compared to others. They were just a cheerful person. They wondered what, exactly, the weapons were, and if they would show them how to use them, because they had no previous experience in this sort of thing. "Think they'll teach us how to use this stuff?" they asked Grey.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay visibly straightened when the headmistress approached. He knew it would be futile to even begin to protest, so he juts nodded and said, "yes ma'am," like the soldier had been trained to do. "Starting when, ma'am?" He asked hesitantly, casting a quick glance at his roommate-turned-partner-in-crime. She still hadn't gotten up off the floor yet.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
Grey nodded, looking at the weapons s in a bit of awe. "Uncle Max could teach us, if I could summon him. He's great with a weapon of any kind." It confused her. Usually, she could summon her dead great uncle at the drop of a hat. Why the struggle now? Why would he refuse her, when he had sworn to defend her until she was ready? She couldn't be ready yet, could she?

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
    _

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus
John nodded, having watched the 58 year old slowly but silently stalk towards the students. He overheard her punishment to the two, and nodded his consent, though it was hardly needed. He would be sure to keep an eye on the two. He agreed with the headmistress in that the two should be allowed to hunt, even if it meant a sort of probation. They would learn valuable skills, and if they were held back, so, too, would a teacher. Although John was sure that Dr. Evans would have happily volunteered.

  • Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

It was a small blessing really--the fact that Jay had turned away from her and spouted something off after the not-kiss. When the recruit leaned in that much closer, Naomi’s complacent facade dissolved that very instant. The girl’s body went rigged again, fingers loosening in panic as her eyebrows shot sky high. What was he doing!? His actions had completely fooled her. She’d actually nearly thrown out a knee to knock him away, but thankfully his weight vanished, and Ms. Romello was left to twitch as a tomato-red heap on the floor. Surprise had never become outrage so quickly. She pressed a palm against her pulsing forehead. If a surveyor were to look closely, they might notice steam coming out the furious girl’s ears. Shouldn’t she feel relieved? Yes. She nodded to herself, fists clenching. A flicker of his smile crossed her memory; the Image itself inviting a nrewly angeres, blood-red haze to fasten over her vision. Naomi yanked herself up into a sitting position, no doubt ready to spit a crude retort at her stoic roommate’s back, before her gaze slid past him and fastened on an approaching figure. Bessie Blitzer. Accidenti. Abruptly, the girl became very aware of her unruly hair--the sudden lack of glasses. Her shirt was slipping off her shoulder. The disheveled student attempted at least stand up, but as soon as she went to lift off every muscle in her legs instantaneously screamed in unison. Warren’s famed headmaster began her reprimand when Naomi flopped back down on her rump, eyes on the aching limbs sprawled in front of her. She’d been far too reckless in her assault, legs mildly f razzled with the fatigue of her inhuman advances.

"You will have to have your wrists tied together at all times, except in the bathroom and while sleeping. If a teacher catches you without it 3 times, you won't be allowed to hunt."

With that doled punishment, Naomi’s conscious snapped to attention. The girl hauled herself up at Jay’s immediate acceptance and glance towards her, a hand lifting to straighten her shirt as she planted her wobbly feet and met the older Woman’s gaze. She was going to tie their wrists together? That was ludicrous! How were they supposed to efficiently hunt at all then? Naomi shot a sideways glare at Jay when he inquired as to how long they’d endure this ridiculous punishment, expression closely resembling that of a sibling who had just been sold out to the parent. Her simmering eyes slid to lock with Bessie’s dark gaze next. Romello looked her up and down, but didn’t protest. She knew better than to challenge the powerful woman, and so she simply let her hands rest on her hips, brows knitting. "And how long are we going to be expected to work under those conditions?" Naomi added to Jay's question after a moment, chin lifting in a smidge of defiance.

Oc--/ Haha! OOhh I LOVE IT!! You know, I'm actually planning on having her go berserk on this mission at some point--not quite sure because of what yet but Its gonna be a good time. Her Demon state is triggered by extreme stress or fatal wounds....So maybe she or somebody else nearly dies and Naomi just freakin' looses it.

Grey stumbled into the wall, catching herself as the Bostonian bumped into her. Her hair trigger temper rose as she forgot about her dilemma. "Hey, watch where you're going, you big buffoon!" She shook her fist at the rude man, eying him with an evil glare. "You just hit the heir of the Daedra family!"

  • Along with the surrounding temperature, Kuroh's attitude went crashing down as the girl spoke. He glared over his shoulder to get a better look at the girl who had butted in. "And who the hell are you?" he asked, his tone lowering as his green lidded eyes set on her. "And why the hell is it so cold? Is something wrong with you?" He shook her elbow off of him and turned back to listen for their punishment. Being tied together? He was surprised she didn't instantly take them off the hunt. He slid his arm off of Asher, and returned his hands to his pockets, hoping that that girl had buzzed off despite the area still being cold.

  • ((it was acc lee and grey but its fine dont worry abt it! also lee and sawyer and their baseball bats are gonna be best friends))

Lee stumbled. "Oi, you little sh--" They reached out, and grabbed Sawyer by the back of the bomber jacket, prepared to get in a fistfight. Maybe in the gym. Didn't want to get tied to this dude by the wrist, like they saw those two other unfortunate kids get. They paused in spinning him around for a second, though. "Hey, where'd you get that jacket? It's sweeeeeet, dude!" They were a bit of a jacket enthusiast. The denim jacket they wore at the moment wasn't their only one, but it was their favorite.

"Starting as soon as you get on the bus for the trip," said Bessie, still speaking in her stern teacher voice. "And lasting as long as I see fit." To be honest, she was planning on letting them go just before the fight, as long as they stayed on their best behavior. She wasn't going to make them fight in it anyway-- whether that meant them taking it off, or them not getting to fight at all. Hunting with their wrists tied together could result in them tripping up, and with a weapon, tripping up could result in some bad things.

  • ((I'm on mobile so this post isn't going to be so pretty, haha))

    Ieyasu Tokugawa

Ieyasu's eyes only narrowed slightly as the words of many students started filtering around the auditorium. The volume only got louder and louder, which only caused him to look more and more displeased. However, his eyes never looked towards the direction of the many fights that were breaking out, whether verbal or physical. Though he couldn't help but let out a little chuckle when there was mention of the students punishment. How absurd. It would be amusing throughout the trip there, especially if he got to see them hunt like that.

He had gotten slightly distracted with his thoughts, until his arm started burning slightly and snapped out of it. At that same moment, he registered that Bessie still hadn't called on him for his question. She seemed more occupied with the various fights, which was understandable, but he felt irritated either way. So when one of the teachers had said something about a students hand being raised, his eyes slowly trailed over to her.

He wasn't too fond of the 'tot' remark that she had given, but he found that he currently didn't have the energy to care too much. He usually hated when people talked down to him, but he never became truly aggressive. His threats were always presented in the most chilling way, with a smile. He felt no need to do that now.

He let his hand fall, seeing that the headmaster wasn't going to acknowledge him after her comment. So instead, he presented his question to the teacher; Ms. Strauss. "Due to me being new, I have no assigned roommate. Does this mean I have no hunting partner or will I just get assigned with someone else? Not that I have any problem with doing things... never mind." he cut himself off. Not what father would want. They would hunt in pairs if requested. He almost seemed to snub his nose at the thought, but the look didn't last for long.

  • Kuroh couldn't help but laugh at the girl's comment on weapons, letting go of his questioning of the temperature. "Weapons? I don't need weapons," he explained, holding his hand up and conjuring a flame that hovered over his palm. "But, my partner here might." he made his way to the large arsenal of weapons. Assuming Asher had followed behind him, his attention instantly switched to the handguns. "Well, Phillips? What suits you here?" he asked, examining each one and their size. "Unless, of course, you think you can go bigger." He hoped that wasn't the case. Asher's lanky stature and a large assault rifle certainly wouldn't go together well. But if a small child could handle a desert eagle or almost any caliber revolver, his roommate surely could too.

He turned back to the greenish-blue haired girl, remembering that he had forgotten to introduce himself. "Name's Kuroh, by the way. Hopefully you don't get left behind with no takedowns. I'll be taking out as many of these shady assholes as I can." he declared, pointing at his own chest and closing his eyes triumphantly.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
"I am too a Daedra," the dark-haired girl insisted, her left hand clenching and unclenching. It was quite obvious she was infuriated, and little dark wisps rose from her right hand. "And you're probably from some other insignificant house, aren't you? The way you wield that bat is like a blind oaf." She knew it wasn't a very good insult (she was bad at them,) but she went with it anyway, and plastered a smug grin on her face as she stared up fearlessly into the other Hunter's harsh eyes.

  • Oc--/Sorry! Last two days have been crazy busy!

    Ic--/

    Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

Naomi grit her teeth together and held her stinging tongue In a notable act of self control, fingers curling against her sides. She spared a glance at Jay. So she’d be forced to spend her first mission (With Warren) tied to the infuriatingly unflappable recruit while everyone else traipsed about experiencing all manner of gleeful mayhem. Blitzer had given them the typical Teacher answer of ‘Until I say so.’ Romello blinked as she realized she was still looking at her partner, jumping slightly before she turned back to Bessie. “Fine.” The girl ground out a simple acceptance--she didn’t figure any other words were necessary; surely Jay would rattle off more than enough “Yes Ma’ms” for the both of them. Fine. She would endure the punishment, but until then, she needed to sort herself out as far away from the handsome stupid boy as the school would allow. Naomi had wanted to stomp away in a dignified manner, but accidentally turned to leave to the left--forgetting Jay was right next to her. She smacked into him then recoiled with a the weirdest little squeak, face heating for the third time that day as she veered around him and continued down her irritated war path. Though, as they might notice, she wasn’t heading in the same direction as the other students. The girl’s pace kicked up a little, hands clenching and unclenching in the subtlest sign of distress. She was walking back towards where she’d originally decided to swoop Jay off his feet, eyes flicking over the floor between moving feet and flashing colors. She was looking for her glasses. Well, to be specific, her mother’s glasses. Surprisingly enough, the 16 year old didn’t actually require glasses for her vision. She was a half-demon, her chocolates were sharper than most human eyeballs after all but….Naomi wore them because they used to be worn by the woman she’d never had the pleasure of meeting, but wanted to remember in some miniscule way. The bull demon crouched down to peer over the floor, ignoring as people bumped past her with a few shoves and some irritated comments.

    Asher Phillips--17--Hopeless Civilian

Asher took turns blinking at the vast expanse of the foreboding armory, then switching to his enthusiastic roommate, gaunt face looking more and more confused by the second. When Kuroh asked him his preference, the 17 year old movie buff’s memory instantly brought up a familiar vision of Sylvester Stallone shooting up a police station in ‘Rambo’ with possibly the coolest gun Asher could beg to think of. Evangeline used to make him watch that movie every summer when she came to visit. “Well,” He glanced across the wall, the corners of his mouth turning up into a small smile, “You think they have any M60 Machine guns?” He shifted his focus when Kuroh spoke to someone behind them, observing the lanky girl Cass with a dissatisfied grimace. He remembered when She’d popped in on them like a literal arctic breeze, Phillips’s fingers went numb just thinking about it. No way in Hell had it that cold been due to a broken Air Conditioner. It was more likely she possessed a freaky ability--like Kuroh. Asher grumbled something unintelligible out--it might’ve been his own introductions before an earlier conversation popped into his head. Evans! The forgetful artist slapped a palm against his forehead. He was supposed to find Drew Evans! The man with a toaster for an arm, he’d mentioned something about making Asher extraordinary…..He himself didn’t exactly figure he needed any of that but at this point, he would probably need the help just to survive the upcoming field trip from hell.

    Evangeline Strauss--27--Smoker Mom

Evangeline didn’t have time to escape before the student she’d noticed came turning to her tired ass for guidance. The woman muttered a few choice words before she took a drag from the cigarette, tossed her hair behind her shoulders, then fixed her stormy cobalt orbs on the boy. Strauss didn’t like the look in his eyes--didn’t trust it. His words impressed her even less. No doubt he’d been about to state he was fine working alone--probably even preferred it. Her bright eyes gave an obvious roll. These angsty teens were going to kill her if Asher didn’t beat them to it. The woman leaned off the wall and blew a puff of smoke, manicured nails tapping a bit of ash off the cancer stick before she fixed Ieyasu with a cutting look. “You have a roommate kid, we don’t let you moody types run around alone.“ she informed him with a disinterested sigh, cig finding its way between her lips as she shoved her hands into her flowy skirt pockets. She jerked her head towards Evans and his high-tech-specs before continuing. “I’d ask Evans here. He can probably find it for ya, but only if you ask really, really nicely.” Evangeline stuck out a finger and waved it, voice assuming the tone of a stressed kindergarten teacher explaining how to add 2 plus 2 in front of a bunch of crayon eaters.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay barely glanced at his partner, even as she bumped into him, he barely moved, a statue. "Yes, Ma'am," he acknowledged, before walking away with the rest of the students. Just as she had to get away from him, so too did the soldier need his space. And his space didn't allow her at the moment.
